$1 Items and huge discounts!

Wow, what a treasure trove we have for you today! We asked our distributor to send us back a bunch of our titles that had gone out of print, all that was left were some copies that needed to be “refurbished” (in other words they had price stickers on the outside of the shrink wrap, otherwise PERFECT). Yesterday we got in the boxes and found some AMAZING titles, lots of great stuff that had either gone away for good, OR was so low on stock that we had higher prices on them. We’re offering some serious discounts, including some $1 items!

Check the list and start shopping, some are very limited.

THANKS!
Suzy Shaw

BATORS, STIV-Disconnected (Collectors edition w bonus tracks and alt cover)-Label:BOMP In December of 1980, Bomp released this groundbreaking album by Stiv Bators, recently (though never permanently) departed from The Dead Boys. It followed a series of singles for Bomp on which he had tried, with Frank Secich and various other players, to extend his range to include the kind of pop-garage that was his first musical inspiration. CD $5 SKU:16727

BATORS, STIV- L.A L.A- Label:BOMP Records BACK IN after being OUT OF PRINT SINCE 2003! As the frontman for the Dead Boys, Stiv Bators terrorized audiences with his snotty, in-your-face punk rock style. But after the Dead Boys, Bators embarked on a musical journey that saw him touch upon new wave (the Wanderers), goth rock (the Lords of the New Church), and power pop (during a brief solo career), as well as a fling with movie acting. Born Steve Bator on October 22, 1949, in Youngstown, OH, Bators took a liking to garage rock and proto-punk early on - a story he liked to tell is that it was he who handed Iggy Pop the jar of peanut butter that he smeared across his chest and threw around while walking on the audience during the Stooges' televised infamous 1970 rock festival in Ohio (additionally, Bators befriended the Ramones during the quartet's first Ohio performance). AMG CD $10 SKU:8908

IGGY POP & the STOOGES - Open Up And Bleed 1973 w liners)Label:BOMP Records For the first time in one place, the complete collection of songs that would likely have made up the Stooges' 4th album. Drawn from rehearsals and live shows in the year following the release of Raw Power, this album exhibits the creative output of the band during their final days. IGGY POP & the STOOGES - Rough Power- LAST COPIES Label:BOMP Records Ever since the Stooges' third album Raw Power, appeared, there has been some question about the contribution made by its producer, David Bowie. While waiting for Bowie to show up, various mixes of the album were done by Iggy himself. He played these for quite a few people, including over a local Detroit radio station. Fans ever since have speculated as to the sound the Stooges really wanted us to hear. In this album, we've assembled many of the varying mixes that have been in circulation, and included the radio broadcast in its entirety as well. Now we can all hear for ourselves and make up our own minds. CD $10 SKU:2066

IGGY POP & the STOOGES - Wild Love- LAST COPIES of rare material from the vaults! Label:BOMP Records This album explores the creative process that gave birth to nearly all the Stooges albums. Starting with a jam session, an oldie or two, or maybe a blues riff, the songs gradually took shape and were refined from there. Here we find the Stooges in rehearsal, messing around with songs by Bo Diddley, Bob Dylan, Cream, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band. We hear the beginnings of songs that never went any further, like "Old King Live Forever","I Come From Nowhere" or "Wild Love", which had as much potential as any of their best material. And we have some very impromptu jams such as "Move Ass Baby" and a fascinating James Williamson solo performance. Much of this material has never been heard before, in any form, as it's been buried in unmarked tapes in the Bomp vaults. In addition, we've included a few songs that have been out on European releases, but the versions here are either completely different, or noticeably better in quality. CD $10 SKU:4372

Also includes stunning photos by Leni Sinclair as well as liner notes by music historian/agitator and Bomp mentor Greg Shaw. CD $5 SKU:2073

"With their stellar musicianship and impeccable style, a more perfect album is scarce. It's surprisingly authentic, as these boys have obviously done their homework. TELLTALE HEARTS- High Tide (Big Noses & Pizza Faces)LAST COPIES Label:VOXX Anthology '83-'86 - 21 cuts, including 9 previously unreleased, highlight this killer compilation from San Diego's version of the Shadows Of Knight. Back in the days of the mid-80s "garage revival" scene that revolved around the Cavern Club, there was no doubt that the Tell-Tale Hearts led the pack of "paisley underground" bands that were popping up everywhere. They combined primitive and snotty mid-60s garage punk with R&B and blues influences, and had in Ray Brandes a great vocalist. Bill Calhoun played the keys, Eric Bacher was the guitarist, Dave Klowden the powerhouse drummer, and Mike Stax (publisher of the great Ugly Things fanzine) the "bass that ate San Diego." These guys had it all: the "look," the sound, and the carefree attitude. CD $15 SKU:2143
