RESIDENTS-Daydream B-Liver Label:KLANGGALERIE (AUSTRIA) Daydream B-Liver was released by The Residents' Fan Club UWEB in 1991. It's an assortment of music from the years 1971 to 1991. The oldest material is a recording of a live show at The Boarding House in '71. The Residents were assisted by Snakefinger for the event. Then there are three tracks from the Stars & Hank Forever sessions that were not used on the original album. 'Daydream In Space' was recorded by the band especially for this compilation. It is a nod to Sun Ra and Barry White. 'Dog Glue' is an unused snippet from the 'Baby King' music used on The King And Eye. The 1990s are represented by music from the Freak Show and Cube E sessions, including a live rehearsal for a German TV show. The song that gives the album its title (apart from it being part B of Liver Music) is a cover version of The Monkees' hit single of the (nearly) same name. As a bonus, we have included the 'Special Almost Dance Mix' of 'Hit The Road Jack', a song that The Residents recorded in 1987 as a follow-up to Kaw-Liga. This version has previously never been available on CD. Comes with a new front cover by Pore No Graphics." CD $18 SKU:17837

SNAKEFINGER-Chewing Hides The Sound (1979) -Label:KLANGGALERIE (AUSTRIA) Philip Charles Lithman aka Snakefinger was born in London, England, and moved to the USA in 1971. He is known for his solo work and for his guitar playing with The Residents. It is said he was given the name 'Snakefinger' by The Residents based on a photograph of Lithman performing, in which his finger looks like a snake about to attack his violin. In 1972 he moved back to the UK to form the blues rock band Chilli Willi and the Red Hot Peppers. Because sales of their second album were poor, he returned to America. Chewing Hides The Sound was his first solo album and came out in 1979 on Ralph Records. It includes songs composed together with The Residents as well as cover versions, such as 'The Model' by Kraftwerk or 'Magic and Ecstasy' by Ennio Morricone. It was the first record to showcase Lithman's distinct slide guitar playing. The cover was created by Ralph Records in-house designers Pore No Graphics. Klanggalerie are now proud to present you the first CD re-issue since 1999. The music has been remastered, and we added three bonus tracks from the same time as the album: 'The Spot' was a single A side from 1978, 'Smelly Tongues' its B-side and 'Talkin' In The Town' was the B-side to 'The Model'." CRAMPS, THE-Teenage Werewolf (live at New York's Club 57 on August 18th, 1979)-Label:INTERFERENCE (UK) The Cramps live at New York's Club 57 on August 18th, 1979. These larger than life figures graced the stage of New York's legendary Club 57, standing on the brink of a wider stage, namely the world. The Cramps quickly became one of America's finest subculture manifestations, bred from the madness of '50s and '60s B-movie trash at the turn of punk, Lux Interior and his motley crew of proto-gothic punks tear off heads with a slew of Dick Dale and Sonics salutes amidst sordid contortions. Above all, The Cramps were a live band, a cabaret of B-movie histrionics and debonair, pursuing a lurid sexual gratification. Lux Interior in particular, personified, and externalized what lurked behind the snarl of every rockabilly hero. Interference presents the entire WPIX-FM broadcast of a legendary early performance by The Cramps at New York's Club 57 in the Irving Plaza from August 18th, 1979. Captured in their ultimate prime and before the release of their debut Songs The Lord Taught Us (1980). Professionally remastered. Includes background liners and superb rare archival photos. JOKERS WILD-Liquid Giraffe(Heavy underground rock with great composed songs, fuzz guitars, speedy drums and tight bass lines)Label:SHADOKS MUSIC (GERMANY) 2016 repress, originally released in 2013. Jokers Wild recorded three singles between 1967 and 1969 in Minnesota but the complete album, Liquid Giraffe, was never released. Starting as a five man band, most of the material was recorded by the three main members: Lonnie Knight, Denny Johnson and Pete Huber. Lonnie Knight became guitarist of The Litter for a while but he returned to Jokers Wild. Jokers Wild was a powerful band - Huge amp stacks guaranteeing a "wall-of-sound" on stage, double bass drum and cool outfits. They must have been great on stage. Damin Eih, A.L.K. and Brother Clark wrote: "In '67 I saw two local bands that again amped up the juice, The Litter and Jokers Wild. Both bands played original music and had excellent psychedelic-raved guitar players, Zippy Caplan (Litter) and Lonnie Knight. That brought everything to a new level." No need for gimmicks here, they just love to rock. They love it loud but they dont wanna be "LOUD" like most of the others out there. REAL KIDS-Shake Outta Control - 180-GRAM -Label:UGLY POP t's been 38 years since Boston's REAL KIDS debuted with the finest rock'n'roll record ever committed to tape, and now they're back with a long-awaited new full-length on legendary hometown label Ace Of Hearts and Canada's Ugly Pop. Of course, long time fans can always be excused some apprehension when a band of this vintage presents new material so deep into their career, but there's no cause to fret here. “Shake...Outta Control” is a fantastic return to form, a strong set of powerful, memorable and engaging songs that do absolute justice to this band's legacy. While some bands lose track of their own soul in forced attempts at progression, and others risk diminishing returns by simply treading the water of their earlier work, 2014 finds the Real Kids negotiating this path beautifully. Boasting both the raw energy and tough hooks of 1977 and the matured chops and expanded palette of frontman John Felice's “Nothing Pretty” LP, the dozen songs on this disc settle easily among the band's best work. Producer Rick Harte guides with an expert hand, integrating Hammond organ and pedal steel seamlessly into a full yet suitably unpolished whole, and the songs run the gamut from quieter but intense ballads like a definitive new “Common At Noon” and a sublime take on Jonathan Richman's “Fly Into The Mystery” to fast-paced rockers like “All Night Boppin'” (powered along by highly caffeinated barroom piano) and of course the instant classic title track, a high-energy gem anchored by the sort of classic Boston punk rock'n'roll riff that made this band's name. Culminating in an incendiary “Who Needs You?”, this is a genuine Real Kids record that will thrill new fans and old alike. Superbly mastered at New York's renowned Sterling Sound, the “Shake...Outta Control” LP was cut 100% analog direct from tape and pressed at RIP-V on 180G vinyl for an incredible high-quality deluxe package.
