JOHN’s CHILDREN - Orgasm ((unhinged UK 1966 psych)180 gram - Label:RADIATION DELUXE SERIES (SPAIN) 180-gram vinyl. The sole album from unhinged UK psychedelic mod rock outfit John's Children, recorded in 1966, right before Marc Bolan joined the band. Produced by The Yardbirds' manager Simon Napier-Bell, who referred to them as "positively the worst group I'd ever seen," John's Children's debut LP was shelved for three years due to its then-unthinkable title, Orgasm, and released only in 1970, on the US White Whale label. Acclaimed by many as precursors of glam rock for both their theatrics and music, John's Children quickly disbanded in 1968, leaving behind a half-dozen singles ranking among the most collectible British '60s rock artifacts ever. LP $22 SKU:17163

JON & THE VONS -GREATEST HITS #1Label:SOUNDFLAT One of the wildest lo-fi 60s-Garagepunk-Band of today! JON AND THE VONS give you your favourite tracks from your favourite compilations (Garage Punk Unknowns, Back From The Grave etc.) These four Parisians (including Jon from The Rip Offs, who is originally from the USA) and one Parisienne on the organ (members of Four Slicks, Les Dragueurs, Les Terribles, Les Arondes, Les Braqueurs etc.) definitely deliver a fun and raw mid-sixties-sound from the garage. With tube amps, vintage instruments and an all-out garage sound, they have only one ambition... to get you dancing! LP $15 SKU:17953

JUSTIN TROUBLE- ST (82 cult classic Dolls/ Big Star style) Label:MONO-TONE RECORDS (FRANCE) Seventeen tracks, 17 hit singles! A perfect mix of New York Dolls' punkiness, psych pop ballads, Alex Chilton's twisted rock 'n' roll, Big Star's power pop, and The Byrds' jangle on this 1982 ultra-cult classic reissued on vinyl for the first time! A perfect soundtrack for urban romances. LP $17 SKU:17294

KIDZ NEXT DOOR - ST ( UK 70s punk ) SAALE - Label:RAVE UP London based band with Jimmy Pursey's little brother on vocals. Finally on vinyl, the anthology that contains all their studio tracks + a bunch of great 'live' cuts. Limited to 500 copies LP $10 SKU:13991

KISSING SPELL - Los Pajaros ( S. American West Coast style 70s psych ) Label:ACME Reissue of one of the best and most sought after South American psych albums (1970), remastered from the original stereo master tapes. So it's not the guitar rave-up record many expect from South American psych. Instead, it's West-coast styled introspection from Chile, more akin to We All Together (if you need another South American reference point) at times than anything else. Well-crafted songs with an attractive dreamy quality enhanced by spacey effects, occasional bursts of well-handled fuzz guitar, and strong harmonies; sticker text likens it to the Zombies “Odyssey & Oracle”… not sure I hear that, but it’s an excellent album to be sure. Includes Kissing Spell’s up-tempo track 'Yellow Moon', which was on Latin American "Love Peace and Poetry" compilation; most tracks in English, with a couple of exceptions. LP $22 SKU:16428

KNICKERBOCKERS- Jerk and Twine Time 180 gram mono ltd edition SAALE - Label:SUNDAZED Although the Knickerbockers hailed from Bergenfield, New Jersey, anyone listening to the radio in early 1966 would have sworn that they were from Liverpool. That’s when the band’s overpoweringly infectious signature tune “Lies” stormed the AM airwaves, convincing many stateside listeners that they were hearing a fab new Beatles single. Jerk and Twine Time emphasizes the raw immediacy of the Knickerbockers’ origins as a live band. Beyond the dance-craze anthem “Jerk Town” and the venerable R&B instrumental “Twine Time,” the set offers a memorable mix of the British Invasion, R&B and Motown covers that dominated the band’s live repertoire at the time, with memorable renditions of the Zombies’ “She’s Not There” and the Kinks anthems “You Really Got Me” and “All Day and All of the Night.” They also tear into the Kingsmen’s garage novelty “The Jolly Green Giant,” the Motown standard “Money (That’s What I Want)” and the R&B classics “Land of 1000 Dances” and “The ‘In’ Crowd.” LP $12 SKU:11881

KNICKERBOCKERS- Lies mono edition Beatlesque jangle, garage grit and frat-rock adrenaline)SAALE - Label:SUNDAZED Out of print in its original LP format for nearly half a century, this vintage ’60s gem has been sourced from the original mono tapes and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, with complete original cover art. Although they ironically rode the faux-English sound of “Lies” to chart success, the Knickerbockers were actually seasoned live performers who were adept at whipping Garden State crowds into a frenzy long before the British Invasion hit U.S. shores. A distinctive blend of Beatlesque jangle, garage grit and frat-rock adrenaline. LP $12 SKU:14433

KROKODIL-The First Recordings 60s Krautrock legends 180 gram vinyl—also includes bonus region free DVD! -Label:KROKODIL First official reissue of the second Krokodil album, "Swamp". The infectious album, originally issued by Liberty in 1970, shows a band in flux between the scorching boogie-blues workouts of their eponymous debut and the massive stoned psych action of their third album masterpiece ("An Invisible World Revealed,"). Many German and Swiss groups attempted to sing in English to broaden their audience and virtually all failed to do so. Yet "Swamp" reveals itself to be one of the best examples of this phenomena, venturing into Van Morrison, Fairport Convention, and even Wailers territory at times, even as the rest of the band experimented with sitars, flutes and avant percussion. A great artistic development for the band without ever drifting into pop clichés. Recorded at Bavaria-Tonstudios, München. Comes on 180-gram vinyl, presented in a gatefold sleeve with an embossed crocodile leather front cover. The printed inner sleeve offers many previously unpublished photographs. LP $25 SKU:17007

LA DE DA'S, THE- Find Us A Way Ltd ed with 2 bonus tracks( great 60s New Zealand garage pop ) SAALE -Label:NOSMOKERECORDS (PORTUGAL) It's a more mod and beat psychedelic related release, tracks like 'Goodbye Sister' or 'Thank You For The Flowers' are a good example of that. Impressive record never reissued individually in vinyl format. Limited edition. Has two bonus tracks LP $19 SKU:14675

LEOPOLD, PERRY-Christian Lucifer (70s hippie psych) -Label:PSI (PSYCHEDELIC SOUNDS INTERNATIONAL) (GERMANY) Reissue of Perry Leopold's second album and magnum opus, Christian Lucifer, created between 1971 and 1973 following his 1970 acid folk debut, Experiment In Metaphysics his enchanting album is some kind of mystery and miracle -- a mystery because its master tapes, except for some mixdown copies, were erased for reuse soon after the recordings had been finished, because the studio went bankrupt and the material was sold. Perry Leopold was an ambitious musician from the Philadelphia area who played in rock bands in the '60s and released his solo debut, the acid folk masterpiece Experiment In Metaphysics (GUESS 096LP), in 1970. From 1971 to 1973 Perry worked on his magnum opus, Christian Lucifer, an even more sophisticated and melodic album than his debut, still drenched colors that humans should not see and executed with a sense of progressiveness that was mainly associated with the European rock scene of the time. Perry Leopold created the album almost entirely alone, with melodies of an unearthly, mythical beauty that he connected with cantilevered instrumental passages of acoustic guitars, cellos, bells, strings, flutes, and a few analog keyboards and organs layered upon each other in harmonic structures of utter complexity. The whole piece of sound art, despite the overall accessible approach, bears a deeply spiritual atmosphere and sets your soul in a quiet and peaceful mood. Highly recommended for fans of progressive and symphonic folk and singer-songwriter artists of the ancient days like The Incredible String Band, Dulcimer, and Nick Drake, but also of later psychedelic folksters like In Gowan Ring or Birch Book. LP $20 SKU:16656

LIBERMAN,JEFF -Solitude Within ( 1975 guitar god heavy psych) -Label:OUT-SIDER (Spain) Out-Sider present the first vinyl reissue of Jeffery Liberman's Solitude Within, originally released in 1975. Chicago born Jeff Liberman was a guitar player in the best tradition of '70s guitar Gods like Hendrix, Trower, Clapton or Zappa. His music is the perfect mix between virtuosity and feeling, with a gift for brilliant songwriting. Between 1975 and 1978, Liberman self-released three albums on his own Librah label which were some of the first private pressings to gain recognition amongst psych collectors in the '80s. Solitude Within, his second album, is a heavy psych guitar/west coast/acid rock classic with plenty of acid soloing drenched in fuzz-wah with treated vocals, effects, hard-blues and even some cool mellow folk grooves and experimental excursions. RIYL: Bob Smith, Terry Brooks, Robin Trower, Hendrix, D.R. Hooker, Bevis Frond. Remastered sound; Includes an insert with liner notes by Klemen Breznikar (It's Psychedelic Baby); Includes a digital download. LP $25 SKU:18343

LIGHTDREAMS -Islands In Space (70s psych)-Label:Got Kinda Lost Records “…we can make [enough] progress inside our heads and the heads of our friends to lay the foundations of an intergalactic life more meaningful than our earthbound condition…” – John Peel, International Times. Mirroring the sentiment of the prescient UK radio legend in his Vibrations column for the International Times in the ‘70s, LightDreams leader Paul Marcano took one further step beyond his intimate colleagues and chose to spread his ideals concerning peaceful outer space colonization to all with open ears. Islands In Space, dotted with acoustic jams, backwards guitars, lyrics alluding to the British progressive era, smoking hot electric leads, synths galore, and the dreamiest of melodies, is both Marcano’s love letter to the work of science-fiction author Gerard K. O’Neill and the psych-tinged folk explorers who came before him such as McDonald & Giles. Originally privately-issued in 1981 in an edition of 1,000 copies, Islands In Space explores space travel and cosmic ideology making for a sci-fi psych odyssey and is filled with atmospheric, lysergic creations atop a hybrid of sounds from the cosmic-psych/progressive-folk/new age spectrum. Home-recorded (yet hi-fi), Islands In Space carries a singular quality, defies easy categorization and has long been savored over by collectors of otherworldly joys. Got Kinda Lost Records is absolutely ecstatic to allow this singular, beatific work another chance to shine from Earth’s surface to the outer reaches of the galaxy. RIYL: Dreamies, Donovan, Pete Fine, Robert Lester Folsom’s hazy, synth-led moments, McDonald & Giles, Ramases, Simones, and the out-of-time bliss of Bobb Trimble, et al. “The album’s free floating dreaminess is grounded in solid songwriting and impressive arrangements, [making Islands In Space] one of the better albums from the era; consistent, talented and transporting in a friendly psychedelic way.” – Patrick “The Lama” Lundborg (The Acid Archives LP $25 SKU:17292

LITTLE FREE ROCK- Nirvanating Nervesounds w insert and liners(classic 60s heavy PSYCH rock) - Label:SOMMOR Psychedelic hard-rock featuring the explosive fuzz-wah guitar of Peter Illingworth. Little Free Rock were an underground British power-trio which evolved from heavy-mod-psych band Purple Haze. In 1969, the band released their only album for the Transatlantic label. “Nirvanating Nervesounds” collects previously unreleased sessions for an aborted Little Free Rock second album from 1971, produced by Robert Stigwood, plus tracks from their early incarnation as Purple Haze, taken from an ultra-rare demo acetate from 1969. The ’71 tracks were recorded when the band had just incorporated an African percussionist to their line-up, “Lord” Eric Carboo; also, ex-Killing Floor bass player John Taylor had replaced original member Frank Newbold. This new line-up shines on tracks like the terrific psych-funk sounding “Money On Your Mind”, full of drum breaks and frenzied wah-wah guitar. The 1969 recordings are taken from the only known copy of a demo acetate recorded in 1969, when the band had just changed their name from Purple Haze to Little Free Rock. Featuring some songs which were later re-recorded and included on the Little Free Rock Transatlantic album but appearing here in a superior, raw-sounding form. For many people, the recordings included here are the best thing Little Free Rock ever did and show how their first album should’ve really sounded. Most of these tracks were previously released on CD under the “Time is of no consequence” name but they appear here in a newly remastered, superior sounding form, most noticeable on the acetate tracks (no surface noise here this time!). Remastered sound. Four-page insert with detailed liner notes by Nigel Cross (Shagrat Records) and Klemen Breznikar (It’s Psychedelic Baby) plus rare photos LP $24 SKU:16713

Q65 THE BOOK PIM SCHEELINGS - Label:UGLY ThiNGS 208 pages with tons of rare photos, interviews and discography. The five original members of Q65 first banded together in The Hague in the Netherlands in 1965. Joop Roelofs, Frank Nuyens, Willem Bieler, Peter Vink and Jay Baar were an unlikely, often volatile gang of outcasts and misfits, but with their raw, unconventional music and rowdy, unkempt image they quickly built up a large and fiercely loyal following. Their first record, "Youre the Victor," kicked off a string of hit singles for the group including "The Life I Live," "From Above" and "World of Birds." Their 1966 debut LP, Revolution, sold over 50,000 copies, topping the Dutch album charts ahead of new releases by the Rolling Stones, the Troggs and the Animals. By 1969 it had all fallen apart, but in the few short years they were together Q65 recorded some truly extraordinary music. They continue to be regarded, quite rightly, as one of the great, unsung bands of the era. Pim Scheelings has captured their story in all its strange, stoned, comical, complicated, tragic glory-the drink, the drugs, the fights and, of course, the music-all discussed and dissected in frank, often brutally honest words by the surviving band members and their collaborators. This is the story of Q65: no punches pulled-the whole truth and nothing but the truth. BOOKS & MAGS $19 SKU:12284

LP $16 SKU:11915

JONNY CHAN AND THE NEW DYNASTY 6- So you WAnt (60s British Invasion style!)Label:DIONYSUS AllMusic Review by Stewart Mason The debut album by Manhattan-based garage rockers Jonny Chan & the New Dynasty 6 is an entertaining blend of British Invasion and garage rock influences. Considerably less noisy and Nuggets-obsessed than most bands on the Dionysus Records roster, Chan and his band (a trio, naturally) take most of their stylistic cues from Beatles, Dave Clark Five, Searchers, Merseybeats, Kinks and Hollies singles. The guitars jangle instead of snarl, and there are occasional attempts at harmonies. The songs are largely about as derivative as the early tracks by their obvious heroes, but originality is not what this style of music is about. (However, the one truly original idea, a cover of the garage rock standard "Little Black Egg" sung in Mandarin, is absolutely inspired.) Anyone who liked the Sire-era Flamin' Groovies albums will find much to enjoy here; Now You Want Action is derivative and insubstantial, but it's undeniably a load of unselfconscious fun. LP $5 SKU:18764

This is the release of the KINGS OF NUTHIN acclaimed 2004 album, and these Boston's rockabilly mutants destroy on this fifteen-song gem. "With their stellar musicianship and impeccable style, a more perfect album is scarce. Intent on bringing back the neglected elements of swing, they infuse it with barhouse boogie-woogie, gospel, and ragtime. It's surprisingly authentic, as these boys have obviously done their homework. The lyrics are superb, with a sense of humore bigger than a plate of pasta at your aunt Dora's, and nearly as big as her. Not ones to skimp, they give up a fifteen songs here without a single clunker." - E. Wadharmi / Lollipop LP $20 SKU:13124

LITTLE MURDERS - Hi Fab (Aussie Power Pop)-Label:OFF THE HIP Beginning as a new wave punk band in 1979 who went on to become kings of the Melbourne Mod scene before dissolving in 1985 after playing possibly every gig and pub in Melbourne at the time. Their first album Stop was released posthumously on Au Go Go records.Ten years after that saw Little Murders return with 3 albums on Swerve Records, which garnered praise both here and overseas. The last of these was released in 2001 and that looked like that was it for the Murders.
However in 2009 Off The Hip re-released the Stop album together with a bunch of early studio recordings. The band started playing to promote the album and then it just jelled so well the band went on to release Dig For Plenty and Go on Off the Hip. The sounds and the songs just kept getting better each time.
Which leads us to the new album 'Hi-Fab' The title comes from the letters page of an old sixties pop magazine called Fabulous. A magazine that was an introduction to the world of pop for rob Griffiths way back then. And on this album rob has written 10 power pop gems. But they wouldnt be gems without the pedigree of musicians on the album. Rod Hayward ex Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes, Tony Robertson ex-Hitmen Danny McDonald ex-Oscarlima and solo artist and Mick Barclay ex Paul Kelly, Weddings Parties anything and more. LABEL HIGHLIGHTS!

JOHN THE CONQUEROR - ST LTD EDITION of 100 on MELLOW YELLOW VINYL LAST COPIES! - Label:ALIVE John The Conqueror’s self-titled debut album is an amalgamation of the many sounds and styles (old and new) mined from both the North and the South. Cousins Pierre Moore (vocals & guitar) and Michael Gardner (drums) are natives of Jackson, MS, while bassist Ryan Lynn hails from Philly – where the trio now call home. Together they mix a bedrock of raw deep blues with funk, soul, punk and scuzzed-up rock-n-roll into one helluva potent musical Molotov cocktail. Moore and Gardner have been playing together in bands since their college days in Oxford, MS, and Moore learned to play guitar in his early teens from a homeless man who slept in the back room of an auto repair shop.

"The trio from Mississippi, now based in Philly, have the smoothness of classic 50’s soul mixed with a southern twang." – Knuckle Rumbler

"It’s all smokestacks, greasy ball bearings, mudslides, and corn liquor swilled from mason jars; raggedly scorching guitar riffs, a thunderous rhythm section, and howled vocals. ‘Say What You Want’ rockets me off my rear every time." – Brian Greene / Happening Magazine

"Leader Pierre Moore has a matter-of-fact singing voice, tasteful six-string skills and a tuneful writing style that balances licks and melody and avoids classic rock overload." – Michael Toland / The Big Takeover.

"They will bring you from the church to the juke joint in four quick minutes." – Mad Chicago

"John The Conqueror's new LP is downright street smart funky." – Jeffrey Morgan's Media Blackout.

"Pierre Moore is a charismatic frontman, strutting the stage, ripping away at guitar licks and belting out dynamic vocals. Joining Moore are his cousin Michael Gardner, a force of nature on drums, and local guy Ryan Lynn, who brings a rumbling low end to the mix." – The Key WXPN LP $20 SKU:14630
