Inner sleeve includes photos and lyrics. In December of 1980, Bomp released this ground breaking album by Stiv Bators, recently (though never permanently) departed from The Dead Boys. It followed a series of singles for Bomp on which he had tried, with Frank Secich and various other players, to extend his range to include the kind of pop-garage that was his first musical inspiration. Out of print on vinyl since 2003, here is a new pressing of "Disconnected" on PURPLE VINYL, LIMITED to 500 COPIES. "Bators' first solo album, Disconnected was recorded in Los Angeles following the breakup of the Dead Boys. It's got more of a garage pop/Nuggets vibe than the work of the Dead Boys-he even covers the great Electric Prunes track 'I Had Too Much Too Dream Last Night.' But even though he professes to be an evil boy, he does it with a charm that's pretty irresistible." - Creem. "Surprisingly, he pulls off this different direction convincingly; after all, this music was his favorite when he was growing up. You'll get a pretty good idea of what the rest of the album sounds like by giving a listen to the album's melodic opener, 'Evil Boy,' followed by the near-ballad 'A Million Miles Away' and the full-length version of "The 'Last Year'." - All Music Guide
