NTP - ST (1969 rare folk private press) GATEFOLD LP
SEELIE COURTABOUT SEELIE COURT
"British acetate and private pressing LPs dating from 1965-78, the most valuable LPs that exist. This is the third and fourth batch in an ongoing series of over 100 scheduled super rare and unknown archive recordings of British underground LPs. All have restored audio striking a balance between cleaning up often unique yet battered original recordings and retaining the power and authenticity of the original sounds without heavy compression. Restoration by Reynolds, at craftsman level. Priced as competitively as possible to allow street level access to thousand pound prog behemoths."
One of the very rarest underground folk rock private pressings (1969) with just one hand made copy known to exist (!) NTP perform a delicate and complex pop inflected downtempo folk with arch wit and charm, at times very reminiscent of the brilliant and largely forgotten Jimmy Campbell. The masterpiece 'Miranda' is lovelorn and infectious in its bittersweet melody, and all the songs are very subtle and understated, the lyrics often tackle deliberately mundane subjects in a poetic and clever way. Acoustic guitar, piano and vocal. Folky pop and outstanding compositions.
