Disc 1 recorded and mixed at Pacific Recording, San Mateo, CA, May 1969. Tracks 1 to 9 originally released as "Santana" in August, 1969.

Tracks 1-6 on Disc 2 recorded January 27-29, 1969, previously unreleased. Tracks 7-13 on Disc 2 recorded live at Woodstock in August, 1969,

all tracks previously unreleased except "Savor", "Soul Sacrifice", and "Fried Neck Bones...", which were previously released on the Santana - Expanded EditionCD (Columbia/Legacy, 1998). he "Original Album Sessions" were recorded prior to Michael Shreive and Jose Areas joining the band, but the original players are not credited in the booklet.
