Roger Miller's (Mission of Burma and instrumental group Birdsongs of the Mesozoic) first band, a psychedelic rock band from 1969 to 1970 with his brothers Laurence and Benjamin (both members of Destroy All Monsters).
Roger played bass, sang, and wrote most of the music; Ben Miller played searing psychedelic guitar and sang; Larry Miller played drums in a highly unorthodox non-backbeat fashion; Harold Kirchen (brother of Commander Cody guitarist, Bill Kirchen) played trumpet.
Twelve strong, intense space music episodes of destruction and rebirth, with a strong Syd Barret-era Pink Floyd and early Soft Machine feel. Unique and euphoric music, which ranges from progressive-acid-punk to heavy psychedelia with catchy chord changes and Spaghetti Western Ennio Morricone flashes, with epic results.
"...A valuable document of an amazing band that sounded like Syd Barrett fronting Cream" ÑMichael Azerrad. Anyone interested in the underground intersection of early prog and heavy post-psych should check this out immediately.
