UNNY SPELLS - with CHAD AND JEREMY (Yellow)Label: FRUITS DE MER 'Sunny Spells' is a 7" EP taster for the upcoming extended CD set of 'The Three Seasons', with four tracks from this set, featuring recordings by Chad & Jeremy (yes, THE Chad & Jeremy), Schizo Fun Addict, Hanford Flyover and Us and Them. Four lovely re-tellings of classic songs from the sixties. Chad & Jeremy give us a stunning, unplugged version of their own 'Rest In Peace', originally from their wonderful '60s album 'Of Cabbages And Kings', perfectly executed, it really is as if the last 50 years never happened, never mind 40. Fruits de Mer's first-ever band, Schizo Fun Addict, show delicacy of touch that you might not have anticipated with a new take on the Mamas and Papas classic 'Dedicated To The One I Love'. Hanford Flyover are a new band for FdM but they come up with a fantastic version of the criminally-overlooked band Neon Pearl's 'Just Another Day' and Scandinavian duo Us and Them round things off with a typically wistful rendition of the Neil Young track 'What Have You Done To My Life?'. Sleeve artwork is by John Hurford. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21704

UGLY THINGS- 34 SAALE! Label: Headlining features this time include the story of The Haunted (Montreal garage icons of “1-2-5” fame), the wild and mysterious Milan a.k.a. The Leather Boy, The Viletones, and a garage-punk mystery unlocked at last: The Bees, who were responsible for the insane ’66 acid-punk freakout “Voices Green & Purple”!

Also Cyril Jordan shares his personal memories of The Beatles and the first wave of the British Invasion, Greg Prevost digs into his deep archive of Byrds collectibles, and there are stories on The Spike Drivers, French proto-punk glam freaks the Rob Jo Star Band, Brit R&B combo The Others (“Oh Yeah”), The Blue Aces, Dandelion label folkie Beau, Dutch beat from Jenny & the Rascals, and striped trousers from The Velvet Illusions. And of course our extensive review sections covering all the latest reissues, rock‘n’roll books and DVDs. BOOKS & MAGS $8 SKU:14707

AGUSA-ST (heavy psych fuzz) Label:KOMMUN2 This musical beast prowls the abandoned ruins of old school organ based progressive rock, sharing its DNA with progenitors s.a. Caravan, Cathedral and ELP. Agusa's self-titled release sounds heavier, darker and dirtier than the band's last two albums. Agusa's quest for the ultimate heavy psychedelic rock involves roaring Hammond organ, heavy fuzz leads, '60s plonky bass, soaring flute and thunderous drums. CD $19 SKU:25284

AGUSA-TVA (prog psych) Label:KOMMUN2 On this album Agusa delivers a wide array of seamlessly-executed, organic rock. The band's tranquil music blends tripped-out psychedelic and progressive rock structures. These are inspired more by folk than occult influences, instilling visions of nature, the cosmos, and dreamlike passages, meandering into realms of a possibly supernatural or parallel existence. Though mostly an instrumental album, backing vocal mantras do seep in through purposeful cracks in the construction of these immense movements, adding an even more spacious feeling to the overall flow of the album. CD $19 SKU:25285

ALAN BOWN-LIVE ON AIR 1966-1970 ( r&b, soul and psychedelic pop/rock )Label:LONDON CALLING Presenting the band's exciting mixture of r&b, soul and psychedelic pop/rock at its most vivid best, the remastered radio broadcast live recordings (1966-1970) collected on this CD capture The Alan Bown's sound and energy better than the vinyl releases from back in the day. The CD comes in a 4-panel digipack and includes an 8-page booklet full of background liners and rare archival memorabila. CD $19 SKU:24783

BLASTING ROD-OF WILD HAZEL Ltd to 100 copies! Japanese psych- Label:LOW AND SLOW DISC Japanese edition, limited to 100 copies only! Fuzzed out psychedelic atmospheres and hard rock grooves from Japan. Driving polyrhythmic mantra, album mix. Fuzzy grooves to tap your toes and keep the foot down. A chill-out mantra. A sprawling space drift full of mixed metaphors. An introspective drive into the distance. The album mix of an esoteric Curtis-Mayfield-like psychedelic space out. A supernatural blues where a deal with the devil doesn't quite go as planned. A little studio jam. CD $19 SKU:25237

BONGZILLA -WEEDSCONSIN (stoner psych)-Label:HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS On the fringe of chaos, in the Year of the Pandemic, the Cannabeast has awoken!! Bongzilla is back with a full length album, 16 years since their last record. These "Pioneers of Weed Metal" would like to present 'Weedsconsin' to the universe. An album written by the three long standing original members of Bongzilla - Muleboy (bass, vocals), Spanky (guitar), and Magma (drums). Recorded and mixed by the late John Hopkins at Future Apple Tree Studios in Rock Island, Illinois in October 2020. These six tracks will blow your mind! In a single instant you are contaminated by the classic weed-infected sounds the band is known for, while also finding new elements mixed into the bowl. In the unique piece that is 'Weedsconsin', Bongzilla delivers heavy doses of crushing stoner doom and psychedelic space rock that sets it apart from earlier material. (That's why HPS Records is the perfect label to release this stuff). This record travels down a path of heavy riffs, mind-expanding jams, sonic tones, and stomping beats in the band's first release as a thunderous three piece, with Muleboy moving from guitar to bass. Approaching these songs as a three piece has created more space musically and allowed the band to showcase their musicianship in a different way. It results in a sound that is very heavy, along the lines of 'Gateway' tone-wise, but sonically more clear. The album is mastered by Carl Saff at Saff Mastering in Chicago, Illinois, and Eli Quinn (Madison, Wisconsin) is the artist behind the astounding cover art. 'Weedsconsin' is dedicated to the memory of John Hopkins. CD $15 SKU:24514

FAUBERT, SHANE- SQUIRRELBOY BLUE (70s power pop)Label:MUSIC MANIAC Shane's carrier started in New York in the late 70's with the power pop rio "The Cheepskates". This 3rd solo album is a beautiful pop album full of close harmonies, great ballads and well crafted pop songs. CD $10 SKU:24798

HACKENSACK-LIVE-THE HARD WAY(70s gritty blues rock)LAST ONE! -Label:BULLS EYE Repressed. A blistering uncensored LIVE SET for Swiss radio, recorded in 1973. Included are 4 bonus tracks, recorded live that same year, among which two frenzied versions of their tour de force 'Up The Hard Way'. CD $12 SKU:19162

JOSIAH-INTO THE OUTSIDE(Blue Cheer style heavy psych) -Label:HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Reissue of Josiah's second album from 2004. Josiah melds the sounds of unheralded dropouts Blue Cheer with the nostalgic leanings of Monster Magnet and Kyuss. In fact the lead vocals echo that of Wyndorf, with some bluesy Ron Young moments thrown in. The first three songs show that the band is capable of some killer material - the hard-hitting future classic The Scarlatti Tilt, the backbeat of 'Turn It On' and the Beefheart-esque tones to 'O.B.N.' make for guaranteed foot-stompers. 'Sweet Time' comes across like Ram Jam's 'Black Betty' supercharged with simple yet effective song structure. The disc finishes with an appropriately named 'Unwind Your Mind,' as I am sure the recording of this album was done in a cloud of smoke. This is a quality release. Heavy psych and stoner fans should be all over it. Retro rock with a touch of psychedelic blues, soul and more than enough rock to satisfy metal fans." ~Sleaze Roxx CD $14 SKU:25309

JOSIAH-PROCESSION(Blue Cheer style heavy psych)Label:HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Reissue of Josiah's fourth album from 2009. "Those who've experienced Josiah's groove-heavy swagger know that it's the guitar of Mat Bethancourt in the starring role, but this trio relies almost as much on the backing rhythms on 'Procession.' Blink and you'll miss the first two tracks, 'Procession' and 'Broken Doll," both of which are under two and a half minutes, but for the other three cuts of studio material ('Thirteen Scene,' highlight 'Dying Day' and the more garage rock 'Dead Forever'), it's just as much Beacom and Beasley's show as it is Bethancourt's. That would be the end if not for the five live tracks from Josiah's Swedish run in 2007. Four out of the five - 'Looking At The Mountain,' 'Time To Kill,' 'Silas Brainchild' and closer 'I Can't Seem To Find It' - come from the band's final recorded full-length, 'No Time,' and only 'Malpaso,' reaches back further, having first appeared on the 2001 10" 'Out Of The First Rays.' Not that we needed it by this time, but these live versions are basically just further confirmation of what underground rock lost with Josiah. The crash-heavy shuffle blues of 'Time To Kill' alone are worth whatever they're asking for 'Procession.'" ~The Obelisk CD $14 SKU:25311

JOSIAH -ST (Blue Cheer style heavy psych)Label:HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Reissue of Josiah's debut album from 2002. "Josiah is one of the few bands out there currently that really manage to capture the authentic '70s acid-rock power-trio sound, style and energy while also sounding fresh and modern. Take some Grand Funk Railroad, Cactus and Groundhogs energy and update it with some Monster Magnet, Nebula and Fu Manchu styles and you'd get something along the lines of Josiah's self-titled debut full length. Next to Queens Of The Stone Age's 'Songs For The Deaf' this is my second favorite album of the year so far. If you're into the sound I've described above you really can't go wrong with this release. I strongly recommend it!! The overall feel is acid '70s psychedelic blues rock. Foghat and the James Gang crossed with Led Zep and Monster Magnet. Other bands that it reminds me of are Mammoth Volume, Five Horse Johnson... Hard aggressive grooves that maintain steadiness like no other. Yeah..." ~Stonerock.com CD $14 SKU:25310

KADABRA -ULTRA(classic rock style charm)Label:HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Written throughout the 2020 global pandemic, Kadabra's debut album 'Ultra' presents an aesthetic that nears that "classic rock" charm and energy. The group has meshed together the droned flow of psychedelic clamor with an abrasive fuzzed riff drive. The sound is a mixture of psychedelic rock and hard rock riffing, vocals are choral and magnetic. CD $14 SKU:25312

KARAKORUM-PRISON BITTERNESS (1970 prog stoner rock)Label:SEELIE COURT 380 copy limited edition first pressings in mini card gatefold sleeves, from Glass Masters (not cdrs)The only surviving 1969 studio demos of this important underground band. Keith Moon raved about them, they were known for their live reputation. Karakorums sonic inner space inevitably conjures up images of heavy cannabis and marijuana usage. The band lock into darkly introverted grooves, with complex patterns, eastern influences, and left field lyricism and vocal, heavy guitar led tracks and the use of wah-wah. They were ultimately uncategorisable, poetic, and this album needs multiple plays to connect to. CD $20 SKU:24927

KARAKORUM - THE GATE OF THOUGHT(1970 prog stoner rock)Label:SEELIE COURT Absolutely unique progressive stoner rock from 1970. Ea (1970 prog stoner rock)stern tinged, the lead guitarist falls in spiralling electric noodling with hypnotic drums taking the listener's mind into new and shadowlike prog dimensions. O CD $20 SKU:24791

LES CALAMITES - ENCORE! (80s Go Go style!)? Label:BORN BAD French band The Calamités consisted of three teenage friends, Caroline, Isabelle and Odile from Beaune, Burgundy. The band was formed in the early '80s and soon they recorded their debut album 'A Bride Abattue' released on the label New Rose. They made it to an appearance on regional and then national television, and their sound was compared tot he U.S. female band The Go-Go's. When all the doors in the music industry seemed to be wide open, they decided to focus on their studies instead. Caroline quit the band, while Odile and Isabelle once again released another hit single: 'Vélomoteur' produced by Daniel Chenevez, one half of the succesful pop duo Niagara. What remained is a dozen of recordings, earlier reissued on the label Last Call, affiliated to its parent label New Rose, a number of TV appearances on video hubs and a thorough fansite. All this to remember one of the most poppy sounding French girl-punk bands, with a talent for writing a handful of good songs turned into classics. And that is a rare gift. CD $18 SKU:25195

MERGERS -THREE APPLES IN THE ORANGE GROVE (Brit rock/freakbeat/psych)-Label:SOUNDFLAT After three singles released digitally, here comes the eagerly awaited third album by The Mergers. After releasing two acclaimed albums, the band maintains their songwriting and arrangements strongly influenced by British rock- and popculture, dream pop, freakbeat and psychedelic moods. It even has some Britpop influences in the vein of Oasis. CD $14 SKU:24633

MOBBS -GARAGE PUNK FOR BOYS (British garage punk) SAALE!Label:CRAVAT From the ashes of the mythical Argentine duo Sandhy & Mandhy—who recorded in 1969 the intensely rare and beloved album “Para Castukis” (reissued by Lion Productions on vinyl and CD), a record suffused with beat and psychedelic influences—comes this resurrection by Mandhy of his "Celestial Stories." Alberto Vanasco Jr. (Mandhy) resumes his musical tale with twelve tracks written between 1968 and 1978. Recorded with the analogue essence and sound of the 70s, using vintage instruments like Farfisa and Hammond organ, and fuzz guitar. Features Argentine rock legends Nexus as the backing band. A record which brings together all of the various crucial elements of Argentine rock music: psychedelia, heavy blues, classic rock, and progressive rock. Stunning CD $10 SKU:20698

SANT ANNA BAY COCONUTS -- HARBOR CITY SURFING (Belgian surf rockers) Label:SURF COOKIE The Sant Anna Bay Coconuts is a 4-piece band from Antwerp, Belgium. 'Harbor City Surfing' is their debut album, released by Surf Cookie. It presents twelve surf instrumentals, taking the listener around the world. CD $16 SKU:25196

SCHOBER'S CABINET - IT IS IN THE WRONG ENVELOPE (London 67-68 style psych) -Label:BAM BALAM Denis Stockhausen Von Ulm (guitars, bass, organ, vocals) and Zach Ryl (percussion) are offering us a psychedelic album, which seems to have come directly from London of 1967-1968. Recorded in their small studio, with the garage sound and mixing typical of the era, vintage guitar, the good old Farfisa organ accompaniment, and featuring a 10 minutes experimental piece at the end with a mesmerizing riff. One may indeed believe it came from the sixties! CD $10 SKU:21324

SOHO ORANGE - KINGS OF THE ROAD (70s searing hard rock Zep style proto metal) Label:SEELIE COURT 380 copy limited edition first pressings in mini card gatefold sleeves, from Glass Masters (not cdrs)Searing hard rock that combines the savagery of early Budgie with the mystical edge of Led Zeppelin, this Scottish band is an important addition to the roster of early proto metal bands. Taken from original 1971 master tapes, this LP ranks with the best of early seventies UK hard rock. Six long tracks that decimate many established proto metal albums, this restores track title and session order that were mangled on a well intentioned German bootleg decades ago. CD $19 SKU:24931

SOMNUS THRONE-NEMESIS LATELY(doom, stoner, heavy psych etc!) Label:HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Nemesis Lately' is the second full-length album released by Somnus Throne. This LP is very much a continuation of their first album (Burning World Records 2020), but with much more attention to detail, a further exploration of the depths of each niche within 'doom,' and a greater variety of sounds. Think just as much heaviness as the first album with less drone and more action. 'Nemesis Lately' goes everywhere across the landscape of doom, stoner, heavy psych, and grunge from a welcoming kick in the teeth by a Motörhead-esque first track, through shades of Acid King, Iggy Pop and The Stooges, Black Angels, The Melvins, Dead Meadow, High On Fire, The Sword, Electric Wizard, Dopelord, Black Pyramid all the way to a concluding track that strives at echoes of Led Zeppelin's acoustic prowess. It goes without saying that the entire album, and the entire Somnus Throne catalogue in total, is never more than one decapitated bat away from Black Sabbath worship. In sum-total, this album is truly a smorgasbord of all things fuzzy, doomy, smokey, sleepy, and trippy while also managing to grasp the essence of each sound -- perfect for anyone ready to doom, space, fuzz, head bang, tune in, turn up, and trip out for the next 40+ minutes. CD $14 SKU:25308

STRANG, JOHN - SHAME AND STIGMA (1972 private press) Label:SEELIE COURT 380 copy limited edition first pressings in mini card gatefold sleeves, from Glass Masters (not cdrs)John Strang's sonic journey into psychiatric rehabilitation has been painstakingly reconstructed from cassette tapes and crumbling studio reels. Composed as a concept album in 1972 this could have come out on Transatlantic, but the deal fell apart at the seams, and the recordings have remained unreleased for fifty years. Charting the experience of mental disentigration and recovery, this may have been an abstract manifestation of the genesis of Sir John Strangs career swing into Psychiatry. CD $20 SKU:24932

THTX -THE FLICKERING SKY(heavy psych weirdness) SAALE!Label:SULATRON THTX return with a heavier and even more hypnotic album then their previous albums. It's a vast tapestry of psychedelic weirdness, abundant with flangers, bongos, echo units, and extreme WAH WAH action. It won't be too difficult to discren THTX's musical influences on this one. There are traces of CAN, TERRY RILEY, FDEEP PURPLE, SOFT MACHINE, BLUE CHEER, SUN RA, AMON DUUL, etc.. THTX genrally stick to instrumentals, but this time there is a VAN DER GRAAF GENERATOR cover with vocals. CD $8 SKU:20384

PUNK AND DISORDERLY 2:- FURTHER CHARGES-Label:SPITTLE At last! A new vinyl edition of the three legendary 'Punk And Disorderly' compilations, originally released between 1982 and 1983. At the dawn of the eighties the first volume arrived as a fiery statement from the heart of the British punk scene. Back in the day, the glorious early punk energy was still alive and in the meantime transforming through a wave of new bands coming up with fresh ideas and attitudes. Thanks to a great selection of both originators and newcomers, the whole explosive energy that was at the core of punk movement is perfectly captured throughout these three landmark compilations. An incredible roster of bands such as Vice Squad, Blitz, Chaos UK, Anti-Nowhere League, Vibrators, Angelic Upstarts... all original British punk acts except the San Francisco based Dead Kennedys represented on volume 1 with their seminal hit 'Kill The Poor.' This is fierce, loud and raw music caught in the midst of transition between punk rock and its next "hardcore" evolution. All three volumes feature brand new tracklists including bonus tracks not available in the first editions. COMP LP $28 SKU:25292

CHIFF CHAFFS -UP TO NO GOOD! -Belgian garage punk incl Mummies The Fly cover-SAALELabel:TRASH WAX The long awaited debut album by The Chiff Chaffs 'Up To No Good' delves deep into the darker side of garage punk with a nod to what's gone before, however it's no retro styled opus. Young, brash and totally 21st century with only 1 cover version, The Mummies instro 'The Fly' played at breakneck speed. This album was recorded over several weekends during 2021 and given the final once over tweak by Doyley of Diablo Studios and now pressed in glorious vinyl for your listening pleasure. The killer artwork was done by 'K-rat' (Who is also Gilles, the guitarist of The Chiff Chaffs). The usual references to a little surf/garage influence for sure, but it's a full, more mature sound where you can hear hints of early Gallon Drunk or The Vibes. LP $22 SKU:25192

EMPIRE -EXPENSIVE SOUND(1981 offshoot of legendary UK punk band Generation X) Label:MUNSTER Empire was an offshoot of the legendary UK punk band Generation X. Farmer and part-time musician Oliver Chaplin recorded this mind bending album on a portable 4-track Teac reel-to-reel machine, assisted by his brother Chris, an experienced BBC engineer who was involved in sessions with a.o. Syd Barrett. Oliver sang and played acoustic and electric guitars, and plenty of effects were used to create a very unique kind of DIY mutant-psychedelic-blues (think Captain Beefheart) which sounded years ahead of its time. Though the original LP was pressed in an edition of only 250 copies, it caught the attention of a.o. Virgin Records and J.J. Cale, but Oliver decided not to get tangled up in the music industry. 'Standing Stone' is recommended to fans of a.o. Captain Beefheart, Syd Barrett, Fresh Maggots, Comus, Magical Power Maco and Brian Eno. LP $30 SKU:25299

OUTSIDERS (UK) --CALLING ON YOUTH (1977 glam punk)-Label:1972 Before fronting classic post-punk group The Sound, Adrian Borland was a Wimbledon teenager enamored of Iggy Pop and the Velvet Underground. With friends, he formed The Outsiders. In 1976, they home-recorded 'Calling On Youth', a searching full-length that straddles nihilo-punk argot as well as smudged glam balladry. Its release in 1977, on the group's own Raw Edge label, with Borland's cityscape abstraction on the cover, marked the first independent punk full-length in the United Kingdom. 'Calling On Youth' announces Borland as more than a precious teenage bandleader. The nervous introspection, wiry leads and negative space that he would refine solo and in The Sound, Second Layer and Witch Trials glistens throughout 'Calling On Youth', beckoning rediscovery. STEVE BROWN BAND- Soul Full of Sin (70s killer rarity)-SAALE!Label:SEELIE COURT Steve brown formed this outfit in 1971, and they quickly developed a tight style of cool but potent jazz rock, characterised by lengthy powerful instrumental breaks and sax, and infectious beats. This LP pieces together what should have been a debut record on Transatlantic from remaining studio tapes and acetate sources. The six tracks are pure killer, opening with ‘Hitman’ which is sung first person from the point of view of an assassin for hire; stone cold cool with a fantastic bass-line and rhythm it conjurs up early seventies nihilistic film and tv imagery. The side ends with a genuine lost anthem in ‘Shine A Light,’ epic and melancholic. The lyrics are fab, and have a worldly wise quality about them. One of the greatest bands no one has heard of, hereby rescued from slipping into the ether, despite once being on the verge of a deal with Transatlantic and garnering a massive live following in their native Newcastle area during the early to mid seventies. A completely pro band, with brilliant songs, and a unique style. In 1973, the band hit a bad patch, burnt out by extensive gigging, they crashed their Transit Tour Van on a motorway, miraculously surviving. LP $25 SKU:24688

STING-RAY, BAL -RECORDED LIVE AT BEDLAM FESTIVAL (Sting Rays and X Men) Label:TRASH WAX In March of 2020, 3 of the original 4 members of cult 'trash' band The Sting-Rays, plus 2 original members of The X-Men were tempted to play at the Bedlam Festival in the UK. Unfortunately, Alec Palao lives in San Francisco and couldn't make it! 300 copies only. LP $22 SKU:25052

STRAITJACKET- DEMENTED PERVERTS (early Swedish punks 1977) SAALE Label:BUSY BEE Straitjacket with Freddie Wadling on bass and vocals was one of the first punk bands in Sweden. The first gig took place at a motorcycle club and at a gig shortly afterwards, the band was offered money by the organizer to leave the stage prematurely. The band split in the summer of 1978 and the members continued in bands such as Liket Lever, The Leather Nun and Blue For Two.
Straitjacket never had time to make an album, but Busy Bee Production has searched in the members' stashes and can more than 40 years later finally release the mythical Gothenburg
punks on LP. The album consists of a collection of demos
and a live recording from the last concert at the legendary
club Errol's in 1978. LP $25 SKU:25725

SWAMPWATER- ST (1971 Byrds style sealed original, with drill hole)Label:RCA A great swamp-pop/country rock release from 1971 by this group with ties to The Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers and Linda Ronstadt — they were her pre-Eagles, post-Stone Poneys band — housed in an elaborate fold-out & die-cut sleeve and notes from Arlo Guthrie. Breathtaking harmonies that, at times, approach The Louvin Brothers, and superlative songcraft. I've never been to the bayou, but I can't imagine getting closer than 'Ol' Papa Joe.’ 'Mama Lou,' meanwhile, sounds like a cajun-style inspiration for Bob Seger's ‘Main Street.' The album ends with a ferocious fiddle stomp that gives way to a few seconds of 'The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down.' The vocalist ends the album saying "that's all folks". It's a line that proved sadly prophetic, as it marked the end of the band for a decade and a half. It's good enough to make even the most cynical city-slicker feel at home on the front-porch.

"Theirs was a brand of well-sung Cajun rock, straight out of the Louisiana bayou (except for the harmonies, which would've done credit to the Byrds). They had no prior equivalent in rock music, and the group's singing was considered so unusual that they got a fair amount of session work just singing backup to other acts, including Pete Seeger, Arlo Guthrie, Joan Baez, Country Joe McDonald, and Odetta. It was Guthrie who finally lured them away from Ronstadt in 1971. Swampwater did a second self-titled album for RCA with Herb Pedersen added on guitar and vocals, and then went their separate ways. While the Eagles, Firefall, and other country-rock groups made regular runs up the charts and embedded themselves in the popular consciousness, Swampwater was largely forgotten except in Los Angeles and by dedicated early Ronstadt fans. After the breakup, Gib Gilbeau joined the Burrito Brothers, and John Beland performed on a number of session dates before going solo.” —AllMusic LP $14 SKU:25537

T2-1970 (180 gram obscure 70s psych prog ) - Label:GUERSSEN Blistering lead guitar, mellotrons, flutes, and lengthy heavy/melodic tracks, featuring the original T2 line-up of Dunton/Cross and Jinks. For fans of classic well crafted UK hard rock and progressive music we think this must rank as one of the most important archival releases in this genre. Even though fame and fortune never came to pass for T2, their Decca album “It’ll All Work out in Boomland” has become an all-time classic amongst collectors of progressive and psychedelic music—and even in the techno and dj scenes. Apart from a BBC radio session, fans long assumed that “Boomland” was both the beginning and the end of the group’s recorded legacy. But some time back, Acme Records unearthed an eponymous second album of material, recorded in 1970 with the original line-up as demo tracks for a planned second album. This second T2 album, had it been released in 1970, could have put the band on the same level of fame with the likes of Deep Purple, Free, and King Crimson (bands with whom T2 shared a stage). It’s hard-driving opener ‘Highway,’ ablaze with wailing guitars, gives way to moody introspection, culminating with the LSD induced finale ‘T2.’ Those of you who were lucky enough to snap up a copy of the earlier limited edition of the Acme Deluxe pressings of this album can testify to the importance of these recordings. For those of you who missed out the first time around—or who have only recently discovered the greatness of the mighty T2—all we can say is, enjoy the power and glory of the second T2 album! *Hard cardboard sleeve. *Includes insert with liner notes & photos LP $32 SKU:25435

T2 1971- 1972 (Obscure 70s psych prog)180 GRAM with insert, liner notes and photos LPLabel:GUERSSEN Certainly one of the reissues of the year: Unreleased studio recordings from 1971 and 1972, which were originally planned as an album release. If this had been released at the time, they would have certainly gone to the premier league of major rock stardom along with Free, Deep Purple, Atomic Rooster etc. Sadly, this was never released and so we are happy to present this previously unheard underground masterpiece.î Tough to argue with the notion of a masterpiece, judging by the bandÍs only other recordings which have seen release to date. Track list: And Time, Looking Back, Questions & Answers, Seventy-Two, The Clown, Closing Your Eyes, Into The Red, PDQ 180 gram vinyl edition; Shrinkwrapped LP $32 SKU:14790

TRYP - MY BRAIN COLLAPSED!! 80s English psychedelic freak band- Label:TRADING PLACES The roots of 80s English psychedelic freak band The Tryp lie in a hoax perpetuated by Steve Lines’ indie mag Mardenbeat, based in the town of Calne in the Marden Delta, which reviewed a gig by a non-existent band; former JP Sunshine main man Rod Goodway and partner Christine Cotter then gave flesh to the beast with Lines and Paul Ricketts of Unhinged mag, cutting My Brain Collapsed! as an exploration of mushroom-fuelled mental instability. First issued on cassette label Marden tapes and later by Acid Tapes (just as Lines took over from Alan Duffy), this edition is the first on vinyl. LP $26 SKU:25294

WEEED - GREEN ROSES PT. 1 EP Cosmic jam (OLIVE)-SAALE!Label:SIX TONNES Opaque pale olive coloured vinyl version. "The sound is a logical progression from 2021's 'Do You Fall?' album, which featured the band shifting over from heavy acid rock to more acoustic-based tracks. On this album, the band dips into trance-inducing wooden drone pieces ('Harmonium'), spiritual Popol Vuh-esque folk rock ('Song For The Homies') and even some violin-heavy cosmic jams ('What Was Lost'), the latter of which brings to mind heady Swedish prog bands like Kebnekajse. The release even ends with an uncharacteristically pastoral nylon string guitar and harmonium duet that sounds like something that might appear on a Tara Jane O'Neil record." ~Record Crates United, May 2022 LP $25 SKU:25228

YAPS -PUNK DIRECTO DE LAS MONTANAS (Ramones/ Damned style) -Label:RADIATION Heavily influenced by The Ramones and The Damned, Los Yaps had been shredding around Mexico since the early '80s. At that time punk began to penetrate the marginalized areas of Mexico City and the band started to practice even though they did not know how to play an instrument. Over the years Yaps changed several line-ups but still they created this unique sound leading them to tour with Total Chaos and open up for main acts such as Ramones, GBH, Exploited, Eskorbuto and many more. This LP includes the 'S/T' 7" from 1988 and the 'Tu Sentencia' LP from 1990. Mexican punk at its best! Released in cooperation with the original members and the sole rights' holders (Bam Bam Discos). Comes on red vinyl. LP $25 SKU:25239
