GERMS-Germicide- Live at the Whiskey 1977 SCALP 001 NO JACKET -Label:BOMP /MOHAWK Live at The Whiskey 77 We are seldom lucky enough to hear one of our favorite bands at the earliest state of development. In the case of the Germs, LA's most radical punk band, someone was fortunately on hand with a remote 8-track studio to record their very first gig. Part of Kim Fowley's 1977 "Punk Rock Weekend" at the Whiskey a Go Go, it's a rough, honest, eye-opening set, showing the Germs as they really were. Originally released in a limited vinyl edition in 1980, Germicide quickly went out of print, then was issued cassette-only by ROIR. Now on 180 gram vinyl for the first time in more than 15 years. LP $20 SKU:21951

IGGY POP & THE STOOGES- Double Danger- 2000 pressing WHITE VINYL -Label:BOMP Records Shrink wrapped but unsealed, MINT The LP is a combination of the best from both shows with full liner notes and vintage photos. Both include rare tracks not normally featured in live recordings, and both are among the most vicious, and best-recorded performances preserved on tape. LP $75 SKU:24110

PETERS , DUANE - GUNFIGHT - ORIG PRESS WHiTE VINYL out of print title - Label:DISASTER Records The original skate punk rock and roll madman, Duane Peters, presents his new brand of old school punk rock, the Gunfight. In addition to US Bombs and The Hunns/Die Hunns, you've got this here outfit dealing in crusty Social D style punk. Peters has melodic So Cal guitar punk in his DNA so this here outfit features roots based guitars from the 1982 mould, think Shattered Faith, TSOL, and ol' Mike Ness hisself. This band straddles the rock-punk of early Clash with the country-blues punk of the greaser Hootenanny scene. If you've heard some of Peters other stuff, this ranks with the best of it, and while no diss on his other works, this might be his best to date. Pay attention to "Yer Too Sensitive" and "Blow My Brains," you'll find yourself with a mohawk standing outside the Cathay de Grande. This is a tight record of classic punk with standout guitars and some tough vocals that don't have to prove their tough through screaming, it's the real deal. - Sid Arthur 7/11 Culture Bunker LP $100 SKU:25001

PETERS , DUANE and the HUNNS -Tickets to Heaven Orig press RED vinyl w insert AutographedLabel:DISASTER Records One copy only! With lyric sheet insert. NOT SEALED but mint vinyl LP $100 SKU:17156

PETERS, DUANE AND THE HUNNS - Wayward Bantams AUTOGRAPHED GREEN VINYL WITH INSERT-Label:DISASTER Records 2002 release. Their third album featuring the classic song “Skate Away”. “The Hunns' classic punk sound mixed with unparalleled attitude will keep this album in your stereo for years to come. “ - San Diego Punk. RIALZU -U Rigiru-OFFICIAL VINYL REISSUE OF 1978 PROG/ZEUHL MONSTER-Label:PQR-Disques File under: Magma, Wapassou, Catharsis, Jacula, Current 93, Death in June, Tindersticks, Coph NiaRecorded and originally released in 1978, Rialzu’s first and only album is rightfully considered by savvy collectors as a hidden gem from the versatile French progressive rock scene. Firmly rooted in Magma-esque (“Köhntarkösz" period) dark matter, it deviates from Zeuhl towards a stultifying eeriness that is so bewilderingly fresh — and in a sense makes this a proto goth-rock masterpiece. Spearheaded by a mesmerizing interplay between baritone and soprano vocals, an assemblage of sinister instrumental twists and turns constantly undermines and postpones the possibility of catharsis. In between an ode to spectrality and vainly ruminating invocations, U Rigiru might as well have been composed by a group of Gregorian singers who are fans of Jacula. This is a truly eclectic masterpiece to be cherished by Zeuhl fans, as well as by Goth aficionados and Cold Meat Industry diehard fans. U Rigiru in Corsican is a circular endeavor, a self-referential leap from and into an existential angst-ridden enclave, enshrouded in a celestial abyss. Darkness baked right in to the name of the album. LP $40 SKU:25002

BENJAMIN DELANEY LION- SATORI (1969 super rare psych folk)Label:SEELIE COURT Super rare psychedelic folk LP from 1969. DOMINIQUE BLANC FRANCARD -AILLEURS- (Trippy weird Floyd meets T REX)Label:LION Dominique Blanc-Francard’s “Ailleurs” is trippy and weird... and yet… the songs are catchy and the album rocks out. Fuzzy guitar, chunky drums, weird effects, a thick mix of layers of sound — all tasty ingredients. Pink Floyd meets T-Rex? It’s a terrific recipe, which surely must describe other albums? Even so, we can’t think of another album that sounds quite like “Ailleurs.” •Eight page insert booklet includes an interview of Dominique Blanc-Francard by Jean-Emmanuel Deluxe, in French and English LP $24 SKU:24345

BARNEY JAMES & WARHORSE - Koneg, The Second Coming (70s lost heavy prog) Label:SEELIE COURT (ONE SIDE ONLY!) Fresh from the incredible success of Rick Wakeman's early concept LPs Barney James (drummer with Wakeman's band and member of Gracious) and his ex-band mates Warhorse made this sensational lost heavy prog LP as a promo acetate. Musically complex it begins with a spoken intro and tells the tale of Koneg Son Of Odin, as he quests to find meaning and death in battle. Keyboards and guitar interweave, with further spoken interludes, and culminating in an epic prog workout featuring fluid soloing electric leads. Only one copy exists of this heavy melodic progressive concept LP valued in excess of £10,000. The original gold handmade cover is reproduced as a gatefold. Sleevenotes by Rick Wakeman. LP $35 SKU:24680

GRANNIE-ST (1971 prog masterpiece)-Label:SEELIE COURT A masterpiece of progressive rock, 1971 heavy yet melodic rock, dominated by Phil Newton's brilliant guitar playing and songwriting — one of the only UK private LPs that may attain classic status alongside Argus and Led Zepelin IV. Six perfect songs ranging from the melodic charm of ‘Dawn' and 'Leaving,' to the fab riffs of 'Saga of the Sad Jester’. Remastered sensitively to retain the power of the original, which was lost in all the previous pirated editions. A string of mishaps destroyed a career that should have seen Grannie the equals of Stray and Wishbone Ash. Instead the world was left with one LP, badly mixed in 1971 by amateur engineers — just six songs. Two printed inner sleeves, insert. First ever legal reissue with permission of Phil Newton's family and heir, the copyright owners. Sleevenotes by band members and family. Originals have sold for more than £5,000. This is a particularly deluxe edition with die-cut sleeve, inner sleeves and special art work, hence slightly more. Limited to 500x copies. LP $38 SKU:24682

BERTIE - Algy Lord Gray (1970 Kinks influenced)Label:SEELIE COURT A gloriously mad Kinks-influenced underground Edwardian progressive masterpiece. It’s as if Noel Coward, Hawkwind, The Incredible String Band, Neu, The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and The Kinks were scrambled together in a disastrous Star Trek teleportation accident. In 1970 the Berties took over a crumbling mansion in the wilds of Wales, made this LP, sent it to John Peel (whose letter of reply is reproduced on the sleeve), and never left. They remain in Wales to this day. Bertie is a deranged subversive and witty concept album about a man’s descent into ruin. ‘Dragonfly Wings’ combines proto-motorik drumming (predating Neu) with Hawkwind and Incredible String Band influences. The surefire future hit ‘Would You Like a Brown Ale?’ is pure Ray Davies filtered through the demented minds of this ex-Etonian band of dissipated aristocratic youths mangling La Bamba into a Kinksian breakdown. ‘Would You Like To Score? says it like it is, without the wishy washy metaphors of the proletarian bands of the time—there is no ‘purple haze’ here, only, ‘where can we buy drugs’. Far better than SF Sorrow, Tommy or Arthur, Bertie is a powerful argument for the return of a feudal system and a new British Empire. To reiterate, Bertie is the greatest LP ever made, and we wish to the gods we could press it on Shellac. Only two or three original LPs are known to exist, with fabulous hand sprayed covers. THE BEST LP IN THE WORLD. Originals valued at over £4,000. "The greatest LP ever made” — Seelie Court LP $35 SKU:24684

CEPTIC FROG-YELLOW GREEN LTD ED! legendary deep underground South African heavy acid rock / proto-doom recordings from 1969!Label:LION Ultra-rare rehearsal sessions from 1969 by this South African heavy psych / acid rock band, mastered from a tape transfer — and yet still doom-laden, dark, heavy, and as messy as can be, in all the right ways. Influences from heavy bands of the time, such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Steppenwolf are noticeable, with proto-doom and psych/funk undercurrents. Do you like fuzz guitar? You’re going to hear it screaming and wailing and building to epic tidal waves and crashes, the kinds of astonishing guitar cascades not heard since you cued up the best of all available live Jimi Hendrix recordings.

"In here lies the bones of all heavy metal ancestors. Enter at your own peril.” — a poster on Reddit

And talking about a track known online as 'Bufo Gutturalis,’ another poster’s assessment: “I gotta say this is one of the most shocking songs from 60s, it's impressive how the sound can be heavy and dark — it is also one of the [earliest] released songs most closely to call proto-doom.”

"When you listen to the stuff, well the first thing you might say is 'this stuff is pretty raw' and you are right. But that is what I always dug about it... I was told they would all go to a rehearsal session after smoking lots of “Durban Poison” and I think the result really speaks for itself. I am very happy that this little dirty gem is finally seeing the light of day. I have no idea what the world is going to think of it, but maybe because there’s no names, faces, or information other than my own recollections, maybe that forces the listener to use their imagination. Ceptic Frog, 1969: music created by South African teenagers very high on Durban Poison. Gotta love it." —Rich Patz, ShroomAngel Records

•Ultra-rare heavy psych / acid rock recordings from South African c. 1969

•Highly recommended for fans of psychedelic obscurities and hard rock from the 1960s and early 1970s. LP $32 SKU:24733

RED KRAYOLA - FAMILIAR UGLY Parable Of The Arable Land-Hardbound Book + 2xCD-Label:CHARLY On their 1967 debut album, the Red Crayola themselves conjure up a sound that's part psychedelia, part garage punk, and partly some sort of experimental rock that would not truly make itself known until many years down the road, and they generate an impressively freaked-out energy on deliberately primitive numbers like ‘War Sucks’ and 'Hurricane Fighter Plane.’ Six of the twelve tracks on The Parable of Arable Land are devoted to the Red Crayola; the rest find the three members of the group collaborating with friends, acquaintances, and fellow travelers credited as "the Familiar Ugly.” Pitchfork gave it a 9.3 and said: “In March 1967, The Red Crayola walked into the studio and spent a day making one of the most visionary album of the year, The Parable of Arable Land. It's a band that has no idea how to play its instruments. In fact, they don't even know what instruments are, or if the guitarist has the ability to remain conscious long enough to play whatever it is a "note" might be. Shattered psalms, wobbling percussion courtesy of poet Frederick Barthelme, patently overused echo chambers, and the clumsiest staircase bassline in garage history smashes into a bunch of clopping machine men as Mayo Thompson croons out the only serious line in his entire career: "I have in my pocket a hurricane fighter plane.” After Houston-based International Artists Records enjoyed unexpected commercial success with one of the most eccentric bands to emerge from the State of Texas, the 13th Floor Elevators, the label's proprietors presumably set out to find some folks who were even weirder, and they found a band that fit the bill in the Red Crayola. Media book packaging is very nice.
Along with the Elevators, The Red Crayola were the mainstays of the International Artists label, and are recognised in Psychedelic circles as producing some of the strangest music ever (combining elements of avant-garde and garage with wild, experimental freak-outs and chilling stripped down songs which sounded unlike anything from the 1960s). KARAKORUM-PRISON BITTERNESS (1970 prog stoner rock)Label:SEELIE COURT 380 copy limited edition first pressings in mini card gatefold sleeves, from Glass Masters (not cdrs)The only surviving 1969 studio demos of this important underground band. Keith Moon raved about them, they were known for their live reputation. Karakorums sonic inner space inevitably conjures up images of heavy cannabis and marijuana usage. The band lock into darkly introverted grooves, with complex patterns, eastern influences, and left field lyricism and vocal, heavy guitar led tracks and the use of wah-wah. They were ultimately uncategorisable, poetic, and this album needs multiple plays to connect to. CD $20 SKU:24927

SOHO ORANGE - KINGS OF THE ROAD (70s searing hard rock Zep style proto metal) Label:SEELIE COURT 380 copy limited edition first pressings in mini card gatefold sleeves, from Glass Masters (not cdrs)Searing hard rock that combines the savagery of early Budgie with the mystical edge of Led Zeppelin, this Scottish band is an important addition to the roster of early proto metal bands. Taken from original 1971 master tapes, this LP ranks with the best of early seventies UK hard rock. Six long tracks that decimate many established proto metal albums, this restores track title and session order that were mangled on a well intentioned German bootleg decades ago. CD $20 SKU:24931
