BATORS, STIV- L.A. Confidential - CLASSIC BLACK VINYL Label:BOMP Records In addition to Disconnected, Stiv recorded a number of 45s during his days with Bomp, as well as some unreleased sessions, demos (including a never-released studio session with Jimmy Pursey of Sham 69 and members of the Runaways, produced by Kim Fowley!), recently unearthed studio recordings, and alternate mixes that remained in the can until after his death. LP $15 SKU:2342

BATORS, STIV - Disconnected CLASSIC BLACK VINYL with cool printed inner sleeve! (powerpop ) -Label:BOMP Inner sleeve includes photos and lyrics. Bators' first solo album, Disconnected was recorded in Los Angeles following the breakup of the Dead Boys. It's got more of a garage pop/Nuggets vibe than the work of the Dead Boys-he even covers the great Electric Prunes track 'I Had Too Much Too Dream Last Night.' But even though he professes to be an evil boy, he does it with a charm that's pretty irresistible." - Creem. LP $15 SKU:18554

DMZ - Relics - CLASSIC BLACK VINYL Label:VOXX Four Craig Leon-produced tracks and five demo tapes that were recorded on four-track comprise this excellent collection. "When I Get Off" was the number two Garage Record of the Year in 1978 in Boston's Real Paper, and it is a psychedelic masterpiece. The dueling guitars, slashing riff, and great Corraccio bass complement Mono Mann aka Jeff Connolly's blitz3/16/2017krieg vocals. Here is a slice of pyschedelia that is the fans outdoing the bands they idolize LP $15 SKU:18553

LEFT LANE CRUISER- Bring Yo' Ass To the Table -CLASSIC BLACK VINYL Label:ALIVE Whiskey fueled two-man frenzy of blues-driven rock'n'roll noise straight from Fort Wayne, Indiana. "Think of LLC as a mix of Hound Dog Taylor, Jon Spencer and Lucky Wray and the Palomino Ranch Hands. Kapow, kerpow! - Doctor Mooney's 155th. LP $15 SKU:18551

LEFT LANE CRUISER- All You Can Eat-CLASSIC BLACK vinyl (high-voltage punk blues W blistering slide guitar) Label:ALIVE Showcases the band's high-voltage punk blues style they're known for and it is everything fans of their Alive debut expects and a lot more!Recorded in Detroit at the infamous Ghetto Recorders, and produced by legendary Jim Diamond. Blistering electric slide guitar and leering vocals distill old-school Mississippi blues down to its rowdiest essence." - Casual Listening LP $15 SKU:18552

BLACK DIAMOND HEAVIES-Alive As F*ck Label:ALIVE Recorded live on a hot-ass night of July the 24th 2009 at Dr. Johnny Walker's (Soledad Brothers / Cut In the Hill Gang) flat in Covington, Kentucky, this is the BLACK DIAMOND HEAVIES absolutely live and kicking out the jam Southern style. "When they hammer away at max. tempo, they sound like The Stooges, with the Asheton brothers replaced by a really really loud Fender Rhodes piano. When they slow it down and groove, they sound like a broken down Booker T & The MGs / the theme from 'Taxi' being run-over by a taxi. They are, in parts, genuinely funky, and as jazz as a rock concert gets these days. They swing." - Paul Fuzz / Electric Roulette CD $10 SKU:11017

BLACK KEYS - The Big Come Up -Label:ALIVE Their amazing debut. "In the US Midwest, they still keep their blues traditionally bottled. And therein lies the key to The Black Keys' brilliance - the ability to make exciting new tunes sound raw and well-travelled, without falling into lame pastiche or parody." - Mojo CD $10 SKU:2262

BUFFALO KILLERS- Ohio Grass DIGIPACK CD -Label:ALIVE Following the release of their critically-acclaimed fourth studio album "Dig. Sow. Love. Grow.," Buffalo Killers have dropped a brand new joint on us. Aptly titled Ohio Grass, the Cincy-based trio deliver six smokin' new tracks all rolled up into one heady package. Pressed on "Herb Green" vinyl this is a limited edition 12" EP.Track listing : Side A - Baptized, Nothing Can Bring Me Down, Grow Your Own. Side B - Golden Eagle, Hold You Me, Some Other Kind. CD $5 SKU:15378

DATURA4-HAIRY MOUNTAIN - BLACK VINYL Label:ALIVE Rock n Roll fans - please welcome - Hairy Mountain the second album from West Australia’s Datura4.Building upon the ‘guitars to infinity’ approach of Datura4’s acclaimed debut LP ‘Demon Blues’, ‘Hairy Mountain’ is ten solid tracks celebrating an unbridled joy for rock’n’roll with a nod to the spiritual presence of their hairy Oz Rock forefathers. Hairy Mountain’ is the culmination of a lifetime of musical archaeology and the ongoing search for the never ending riff. It’s the brainchild of Dom Mariani (frontman of Australian garage rockers The Stems and Power Posters DM3) and Greg Hitchcock (former You Am I and one-time New Christs’ guitarist), and they’re new full-tilt boogie, psych and prog combo calling it Datura4. – BLURTLP $15 SKU:17965

GOSPELBEACH- Pacific Surf Line- Digipack Label:ALIVE The five members of GospelbeacH possess a prestigious collective resume that includes membership in Beachwood Sparks, Further, The Tyde, the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals, and Everest. But one listen to the quintet’s warmly wonderful debut album Pacific Surf Line will instantly dispel any preconceptions about supergroup self-indulgence or side-project slumming. The album—which Brent and Jason co-produced with Scott Hackwith, known for his studio work with the likes of Spiritualized and the Ramones—embodies an open-hearted optimism that’s reflected in the band’s sunny, upbeat song craft, and in the buoyant, organic performances that show off the quintet’s uncanny, instinctive chemistry…A sunny, breezy debut. – NPR…A sleepy (stoned?) version of folk-rock structures that’s somewhere between kaleidoscopic alt-country and the times when the Grateful Dead decided to color within the lines. – SPIN…A knowing but hugely enjoyable attempt to cut a vintage path between Topanga Canyon and Marin County. – UNCUT CD $10 SKU:16832

HANDSOME JACK- Do What Comes Naturally -digipack REVIEW by Shawn Obnoxious Naturally” hits with blues fused rock and roll that truly grips you. There’s a certain charm in the mix… A real honesty that you find in those nowadaysands that are sectioned off from the mainstream… Handsome Jack deliver a confidence that only you can accept or deny. The truth isn’t for just anyone these days. The only factor that suffers with a band like Handsome Jack is the reality of the fact, that music, of any genre, suffers. There is a lot of music out ‘there’ riding invisible rays and available thru a multitude of formats and accessibilities. You gotta dig deep and find what connects with you before it’s lost in the shuffle of the beast called Right Fucking Now. As listens of “Naturally” tallied, the more and more I appreciated the release as a whole… The sorts of fondness that would not be found in a big-shot music reviewer scanning ten seconds of each track then spit out a few adjectives to coincide with that press release. Fuck that.Rock N Roll isn’t dead if you don’t want it to be. Let’s try to spend some time with a CD or record or whatever, to connect once again. Yes, it comes naturally to just hit the button to most, but not because we want to, it’s because some have too. Take some time with “Naturally”. Turn it up. Sit a while. Open up your mind and your ears. You just might like something after all without being given permissions by the industry. CD $10 SKU:16201

IGGY POP & the STOOGES - I'm Sick of You /Tight Pants/Scene of the Crime Label:Bomp Records LAST COPIES ORIGINAL PRESSING WITH PICTURE SLEEVE 3 Demos written by Iggy and guitarist James Williamson for the Stooges’ third Album Raw Power. 45 RPM $10 SKU:17551

OLIVE, BRIAN - Two Of Everything (Prod by Dan of the Black Keys) BLACK VINYL Label:ALIVE
This is in our "WHY ISNT THIS GUY #! ON THE CHARTS !" category. Get it, dont make me come over there! Ex-Greenhornes guitarist & Soledad Brothers) Following his 2009 self-titled debut, which was praised for skillfully blending soulful R&B with raunchy garage and psychedelia, Brian Olive takes us further on his latest full length “Two Of Everything”. Listeners will recognize a number of musical touchstones here (Night Tripper era Dr. John, Exuma, early Funkadelic, Canned Heat, West Coast psych, etc…) but the end result is completely Olive’s own, an insanely dynamic, soulful , psychedelically-rich summer album perfect for intergalactic flight, night visions, or voodoo rituals.“Two Of Everything” was recorded and produced by both Olive and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys at The Diamonds in Cincinnati, and Easy Eye Sound in Nashville and features a revolving cast of talent including long time right hand man Mike Weinel, Detroit psychedelic caveman David Shettler (SSM, the Sights), Daniel Allaire (Darker My Love), Jared McKinney (Greenhornes), and with Courtney Jaye, Leisa Han, Kari Kragness, and Sarah Benn on backing vocals. The hauntingly beautiful artwork is by Laura Dolan. LP $5 SKU:16918

SWELL MAPS - International Rescue BLACK VINYL-Label:ALIVE International Rescue is almost propagandist in its revisionism-- Swell Maps never sounded more like a real band. There should be a warning label affixed to this album to even the odds of people purchasing additional material: Absolutely the best record available by Swell Maps." - Pitchfork LP $15 SKU:16969

WEIRDOS - Destroy All Music -30th Anniversary Edition- Label:BOMP The Weirdos were in many ways the greatest of L.A.'s punk bands. In early 1977 their mighty sound and singular style were the big-bang igniting the L.A. punk rock scene, as they proclaimed "we're not punks, we're weirdos from Hollyweird!". This wasn't just goofy sloganeering, this was a stance intended to distinguish them from the burgeoning punk rock scenes in New York and London. The Weirdos were not only bringing a new sound and writing teen punks anthems, they were also responsible for their graphics (posters, covers, flyers) and designed their own clothes! Their 1977 Bomp single "Destroy All Music" was a nihilistic anthem, and is now regarded as a classic, and by the time they made their mini-LP two years later they had turned into a powerful, polished band, without losing any of their outrageous attitude. "Destroy All Music - 30th Anniversary Edition " compiles the now classic 1977 EP Bomp and the 1979 "Who, What, When, Where, Why?" mini-LP in its entirety and includes previously unreleased early demos. Comes with a 12 page booklet with photos and liner notes. CD $10 SKU:6870

LITTLE MURDERS - Hi Fab (Aussie Power Pop)Label:OFF THE HIP Beginning as a new wave punk band in 1979 who went on to become kings of the Melbourne Mod scene before dissolving in 1985 after playing possibly every gig and pub in Melbourne at the time. Their first album Stop was released posthumously on Au Go Go records.Ten years after that saw Little Murders return with 3 albums on Swerve Records, which garnered praise both here and overseas. The last of these was released in 2001 and that looked like that was it for the Murders.
However in 2009 Off The Hip re-released the Stop album together with a bunch of early studio recordings. The band started playing to promote the album and then it just jelled so well the band went on to release Dig For Plenty and Go on Off the Hip. The sounds and the songs just kept getting better each time.
Which leads us to the new album 'Hi-Fab' The title comes from the letters page of an old sixties pop magazine called Fabulous. A magazine that was an introduction to the world of pop for rob Griffiths way back then. And on this album rob has written 10 power pop gems. But they wouldnt be gems without the pedigree of musicians on the album. Rod Hayward ex Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes, Tony Robertson ex-Hitmen Danny McDonald ex-Oscarlima and solo artist and Mick Barclay ex Paul Kelly, Weddings Parties anything and more. Plus Anna Burley and Craig Pilkington from the Killjoys on backing vocal and brass and keys. Craig was also in charge of recording the album at Audrey Studios. LP $18 SKU:18459

LITTLE MURDERS- Go Aussie Power Pop)Label:OFF THE HIP Little Murders were Australia’s own version of the new wave of power pop in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Although the band broke up in the mid 1980s, they reformed at various times over the next 25 years. STEVE AND THE BOARD - Complete - with 21 page booklet Label:OFF THE HIP The Australian band Steve & the Board made some British Invasion-style records in the mid-'60s, getting some success in Australia with the singles "The Giggle Eyed Goo" and "I Call My Woman Hinges 'Cause She's Something to Adore." All the members were in their late teens when they recorded for the Spin label, and their progress was no doubt eased by having a lead singer, Steve Kipner, whose dad Nat Kipner was the head of Spin Records. The group wasn't a mere manufactured boy band, though, as in fact much of their material was original, contributed by several members (though most often guitarist Carl Keats). In their blend of British R&B and pop/rock influences, their recordings were fairly solid straight-ahead rock that criss-crossed attributes of the Beatles, the Byrds, Merseybeat, and raunchier groups like the Pretty Things. They issued just one album, though, and a couple of non-LP singles CD $16 SKU:17912
