Californian legends THE MISUNDERSTOOD should need no real introduction here, their incredible story having been told in great detail in more recent years, but to summarise, they started out as a decent (if fairly typical) Riverside, California garage band in the mid-60s. Here, they were discovered by equally legendary DJ John Peel (then working in the US as John Ravenscroft).
