Beside these never published demos to date, the known tracks on this album are different to what Nebula originally released on their previous records such as on 'Charged' or 'To The Center'. REBELS-SIPKOVA RUZENKA- rare Czechoslovakian 60s flower power folk-pop ) Label:SUPRAPHON A classic flower power folk-pop LP from Czechoslovakia, originally released in 1968, gets its awaited reissue. One half of this collection features covers of hits by (mostly) The Mamas And The Papas. The other side however is much more interesting, offering original songs in the psychedelic folk-pop vein, with wonderful (and wondrous) orchestrations, not unlike US bands/projects s.a. Sagittarius and The Millennium. The line-up included the well known Jiri Korn as well as Josef Pliva. The latter would later (in 1970) release the LP 'Fairy-Tales In Beat', partly made up of the original songs from 'Sipkova Ruzenka', albeit with English lyrics. ASTRAL DAZE- PSYCHEDELIC SOUTH AFRICAN ROCK 1968-1972
-Label:TAKE IT ACID IS '1968-1972' - This collection brings together rarities from well-known artists like Abstract Truth, Suck, Otis Waygood, Freedom's Children, John & Philipa Cooper, McCully Workshop and Hawk, as well as lesser known acts like Buzzard, The Fireflies, The Idiots, Tidal Wave, and The Invaders. Although the South African rock movement of the late sixties and early seventies was not a major commercial success, its participants heralded an exciting new age in South African rock and started a movement aimed at changing the musical tastes of fans in a spectacular way. Stadium concerts became the vehicle for feeding the youth with heavier rock sounds, and behind studio glass were producers like Clive Calder, Billy Forrest, Graham Beggs and Selwyn Miller who acted as change agents to transform conventional pop into heavier 4 to 5 minute songs. The movement's struggle for recognition through airplay remained unanswered and only the true fans of rock knew about their existence. BROMMERS- BACKLASH +10"/BOX SET ( 70s Dutch punk) -Label:PPOP A Dutch punk band, which existed from 1978-1981. After the EP 'Defekt' was recorded in December 1979 and released in 1980, the band performed regularly. A concert in the Paard van Troje (The Hague) was recorded for VPRO television. New studio recordings were made at Radio Nederland Wereldomroep in 1981, after which only two more concerts were given. This set consists of an LP and a 10-inch with previously unreleased demos, live and studio recordings made between 1979 and 1981, and both come on transparent vinyl in full-colour sleeves and heavy cardboard inner sleeves. Each set is packed in a silkscreen-printed and hand-sprayed cardboard box, together with four inserts and a download code. CROCK - GROK (from pop prog freakout to Beatles style!)Label:JACKPOT Coming from the brilliant minds of Quasi's Sam Coomes and Hella's Spencer Seim, Crock's debut record "Grok" is the end product of several years of refined collaboration, and truly a sound and vision unlike any other. Each song shifts and burns through an albums' worth of ideas in the compact space of 4 minutes. It's not so much a collage as it is some new kind of sonic highway where it's always rush hour. Amid all the electronic fragments, outsider doom riffs and dozens of other sounds racing by, at the center of the songs are the signature sounds of either of the creators. Coomes' instantly-recognizable vocal harmonies push some of the best songs from prog-freak out territory into the realm of Beatles-y pop wonder. The spazzy, sputtering drum work by Seim is not only on par with the best Hella moments, but serves as an anchor to the trails of sometimes blissful, sometimes crazed composition shooting off in all directions. The very simple cover art (by Janet Weiss of Quasi/Sleater-Kinney) could serve to sum up Crock's debut; some kind of controlled neon explosion that looks different from different angles. EELA CRAIG ST (1971 rare gem with booklet)_ slightly dinged copy BARGAIN! . Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): Our really picky source for these albums swears they arent perfect, altho we can rarely even SEE the ding. Great bargain for a new, sealed, nearly perfect album. Reissue of their first album from 1971. "The sought-after masterpiece of the well-known Austrians. A bestseller. As a bonus, their 7" single tracks from 1974 are included. With color deluxe booklet of 36 pages." From Audion: "From their origins, Eela Craig had drawn influences from British underground progressives of the late-60s, and I can see touches of Colosseum, The Nice, Egg, Nucleus and Soft Machine amongst the hybrid of Krautrock (very Out Of Focus cum early Embryo), and other European styles. Just four long tracks, fronted by ably delivered English vocals and large instrumental sections featuring electric saxes, flutes and a wealth of multi-keyboards. It all added up to a rare gem of an album, full of unique ideas (that reverse section in 'Selfmade Trip' is a stroke of genius), and one that will be adored, I'm sure, by almost anyone lucky enough to buy it. GILA - Night Works (1971 psych rock masterpiece) Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): Gila is probably the GOD label's best or second-best known artist. And deservedly so... their eponymous 1971 debut album (known as 'Free Electric Sound') is a psychedelic rock masterpiece. The same foursome (fronted by guitarist/vocalist Conny Veit, who later had a stint with Guru Guru) then recorded a concert for radio, broadcast on 26 Feb 1972. This was subsequently edited down to 43 minutes—adly that is all that still exists of the show. Released here as "Night Works," it captures a different dimension of the band in a live setting. On tracks like ‘Braintwist’ and the wonderfully cosmic ‘Gila Symphony,’ the group comes across much like the Doors doing their own “Space Ritual.” However, the overall mix of textures ends up sounding very Germanic in the end; for example, the outstanding ‘Trampelpfad’ simply couldn't have been created by an American group. The source tape isn't perfect (a few noticeable dropouts now and again) but we’re glad that the magnificence of this single performance is still preserved. All of the tracks included here are unique to “Night Works,” making it a true second album by the band’s original lineup. Cover artwork was painted by Gila guitarist Conny Veit himself. The 12-page LP-sized booklet contains an extremely elaborate history of the band in German, English and Swedish, a very meticulous discography, numerous cover and label repros, many so far unseen Gila photographs, leaving nothing left to be desired. JOHN BASSMAN GROUP- Filthy Sky (Psych prog Airplane style 1970) Label:MISSING VINYL Excellent European psychedelic progressive album, sung in English with Jefferson Airplane- like female vocals and great fuzz guitars. John Bassman Group was a late 60s Dutch group, that recorded their only album in Germany on the A.S.P. label in 1970. Five years after this album, two of the group members (Guitarist John Theunissen and 'Bassman' Theo Wetzeis) achieved international fame with the group Pussycat. Limited, deluxe exact reissue on 180g vinyl, Expertly remastered, First ever official exact reissue.

KALACAKRA -Crawling to Lhasa PIC DISC of psych jewel 1972-SLIGHTLY 11:06 AMdinged copies- GRET BARGAIN. Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): Picture disc of this psychedelic jewel, that fully deserves its mythical, mystical reputation. Kalacakra's "Crawling To Lhasa" contains eight tracks of mantric acid-folk self-released in 1972 by the apparently drugged-out duo of Claus Rauschenbach (guitars, kongas, percussions, vocals, harmonica, slentem) and Heinz Martin (electric guitars, flute, piano, vibraphon, schalmi, cello, violin, synthesizer). Their strange, hippie sense of humor and obsession with the culture of Tibet (the name Kalacakra is the Tibetan term for "wheel of time") results in some fantastically nonsensical, eastern-influenced psychedelia. The album begins with the dark, hypnotic ‘Nearby Shiras’, a song about a plague-ravaged town in old Persia; as their crawl to Lhasa continues, Kalacakra venture into zones of lovely folk-strum and raga-rock, before the album wraps up with a deranged and damaged blues stumble called ‘Tante Olga’. Garden of Delights do their usual thorough job with a thick insert full of liner notes (in German and English), plus photos of Claus and Heinz looking about as weird and long-haired and hippie-ish as it's possible to get! KENNY AND THE KASUALS- 1966-1968 THE SINGLES...PLUS 180g Vinyl IMPORT (Garage/Beat/Psych) -Label:MISSING VINYL Texas had without any doubt a great number of fine and very original bands during the 60s,with The 13th Floor Elevators at the very top of the list of course, followed by almost forgotten groups that recorded whole albums like the great Golden Dawn, Lost & Found or the positively weird Red Crayola. There were also many garage bands that have appeared on countless comps. One of the very best of these was Kenny & the Kasuals. Thus it is that we are excited about this original twenty track compilation fully authorized by Kenny B. Daniel, containing the best tracks the band recorded between 1966 and 1968. All their singles, plus several unreleased tracks too; all originals, including the local killer fuzz-bass classic, 'Journey to Tyme'. He made an ultra rare single in 1971, enjoyed some media exposure at the time and came close to a successful career. In 1973 he moved to England, where he has been living until recently. This compilation contains his impossible to find single, plus six unreleased tracks recorded in 1972-73, when he was trying to secure a contract with Columbia records in Greece, and three tracks with English lyrics, recorded in the UK in 1974. Fully authorized. Deluxe gatefold, with 180g vinyl. Expertly produced from the original tapes. LIGHTSHlNE - Feeling(1976 psych masterpiece Pink Floyd style) Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): A psychedelic masterpiece, with flute. A pleasure for your ears. Very ambitious. Like early Pink Floyd or Amon Düül II. From the master tapes. One of the very best records on Garden of Delights. Purely psychedelic music—impressive songs played by talented musicians, recorded professionally. Everything fits together quite perfectly. Fans of early Pink Floyd will thoroughly enjoy the LP. All songs, except for the rather catchy "Lory", are very mysterious and reveal their real beauty only after being listened to for several times. It's a shame that Lightshine from Emmerich did not release any further material, as this album is an aural pleasure from the first to the last. The original LP was released on the Trefiton label in 1976. The new edition contains a four-page insert with a detailed band history in German and English, song lyrics, discography, photographs, and much valuable information on the Trefiton label. MURPHY BLEND - First Loss (70s German psych prog )Label:MISSING VINYL Murphy Blend’s only album is one of the best and rarest early German progressive rock records. Excellent Hammond organ, that delivers a unique heavy psychedelic Krautrock sound. It was originally released on the legendary KUCKUCK label in 1970. This album, is a perfect example of the early 70s German progressive Krautrock scene and should be part of every serious 70s progressive rock collection. English lyrics.” Nobody knows where this group of Berliners came from, nor why they named themselves after a pipe tobacco, but they were responsible for one of the best albums released on Polydor's legendary Kuckuck label. Murphy Blend favored heady psychedelic instrumentals, with heavy guitar and chunky Hammond organs; they were a rarity in early German rock, as singer/organist Wolf-Rüdiger Uhlig utilised his keyboards to incorporate classical themes into the band’s heavy progressive music (he had studied classical music for three years in Berlin); the album contains six proper tracks (mostly written by Uhlig) as well as the shortest German song of all time, the 3/10 of a second long "Happiness"! It's impossible to name highlights, as all material is truly excellent. Sadly, Murphy Blend disbanded soon after recording this album. Uhlig went on to create Hanuman, and guested on Frumpy's third album, "By The Way" in 1972; Andreas Scholz went on to join Blackwater Park. (70s German blues prog).Label:GARDEN OF DELIGHTS (Germany): "Pentagon was the first group on the small Munich label German Blues and Underground, which later on also released the two Siloah records. The 7” single was supposed to be followed by an LP, but it never got beyond the dubplate/acetate stage, a kind of demo pressing. A music cassette, however, was released, the simple cover of which was used for the LP cover, too. Although very young at the time, the three musicians already played respectable blues rock. The tracks of side 2 of the vinyl album were taken from the master tape, the tracks of side 1 were digitally decrackled by Cedar’s NoNoise system. It’s a first-class find, saved from oblivion in the very last minute. The title means in English “The expulsion of the evil spirits from the Pentagon”. Limited edition of 1000 numbered LPs. PIG RIDER -Heterophonies (1974 British psych folk rarity)Label:SOMMER .Another ultra-rarity by British psychedelic folk band Pig Rider. Although nearly 60 people have played in Pig Rider or its various offshoots over the years, there have only been two ever-present members, Colin Kitchener and John Mayes, who founded the band at Sevenoaks School in Kent, England in the late 60s. After a number of other names, they settled on ‘The Pig Rider Robinson Heterophony’ to perform under. (An attempt to build a seven-foot robot bassist called Peregrine Robinson to front the band failed). Pig Rider recorded at home with rudimentary equipment, they used handmade modified instruments (“orgasmatron”, “banjelele”, “torture machine”, “aquaphone”, “swanee bicycle pump”…) and they self-released a series of acetate only albums housed in primitive, handmade sleeves. “Heterophonies” was originally pressed by the custom label Deroy as a private edition of five acetates in 1975. The music is an amazing mix of psychedelic electric folk, acid folk andtwisted pop with funny / bizarre lyrics, tape experimentation, effects and homemade / stoned atmosphere. GOLDEN RING- ST -Iranian Styled 60's Garage & Other Exotic Sounds: Complete Recordings-Label:PERSIANNA As collectors continue to explore and discover new music from around the world, one country that's starting to gain momentum is Iran. Iran has been a mystery to collectors for many years, and even today it remains a blackbox to most. Within the rubbles of Iran's lost musical history comes Golden Ring, one of the first, and most prodominent Iranian garage groups from the '60s. Based in Teheran, Golden Ring recorded and released a series of songs on 7" during the late 60's and early 70's before disbanding. They were one of the first Iranian bands to be influenced by Western music such as The Beatles, combining traditional Iranian instrumentation and melodies with structures found in UK and North American rock and pop. This combination resulted in an Iranian take on garage music during the genre's climax. One of the members of Golden Ring, Arif, later went on to become a solo artist, and over time became one of the legendary artists within Irans musical landscape. His solo material spread across 45's, soundtracks and generations of fans. Sadly Golden Ring never recorded or released a full length album, but through a lot of hard work and effort we are pleased to offer a full length compilation of Golden Ring's music for you to enjoy. MAYFIELD'S MULE - ST (60s Brit pop psych )Label:NIGHTWINGS Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter CHRIS MAYFIELD began to play at the beginning of the Sixties in local Kent band The MORAL SET, then went on to the usual plethora of bands and sessions, playing with the earliest NIRVANA, JOHN GUSTAFSON, GENE LATTER and IAN HUNTER among the others. In 1968 after a few disappointing musical adventures, Chris joined AMEN CORNER as a roadie/driver, but his girlfriend passed some of his demos to Amen's sax player, MIKE SMITH, who immediately got them to various labels, EMI approved and immediately signed Chris to a recording deal. PETE SAUNDERS (k), STEVE BRADLEY (b) and ex-ELASTIC BAND SEAN JENKINS (d) soon joined and MAYFIELD's MULE was born. Three Parlophone singles were recorded in a few months and the band also began to work on an album at Abbey Road studios. But something went wrong and the LP was apparently shelved, gaining instead an incredible Uruguayan release on local Emi-Odeon label, without any involvement and knowledge from the band. Mayfield's Mule went on for a while longer, recruiting brothers MIKE and ANDY SCOTT, and then called it a day. While Sean Jenkins played a few months with HENRY COW and Andy Scott resurfaced in The SWEET, Chris Mayfield joined forces with JOHN KONGOS to record some demos of his new material. He then met up with an old friend from Kent NOEL REDDING (late of Jimi Hendrix Band and Fat Mattress) and they formed the shortlived BRAIN POLICE, which became (without Chris) ROAD and finally The NOEL REDDING BAND. This CD contains all the best Mayfield's Mule recordings, drawing from both the singles and the album. The music is basically rock but with hints of prog, blues, rural and even a bit of soul thrown in. All tracks have been digitally remastered from the original tapes, licensed by EMI UK.
