A fixture of the early-mid 2000s LA power pop scene, Sparky was led by actor Allen Lulu—known to millions in Canada as “The A&W Guy”—and sounded, as Faster & Louder Blog memorably put it, “like if Meat Loaf tried to make a hair-metal record but only listened to bands that secretly wanted to be The Raspberries or Cheap Trick.”
This vinyl edition features a newly remastered cut, pressed on purple wax. The gatefold includes full lyrics, with an inner sleeve collage of the band, plus a 32-page booklet detailing the history of the band, the name, the cover art, and the how and why behind every song.
Exclusive to this release are newly remastered versions of two covers—Cyndi Lauper’s “She Bop” and The Sweet’s “Hell Raiser”—available only on vinyl.
