"High octane rock-n-roll from a band that has come to practically define the genre.” – Altercation. "Their ability to shift gears -- not their white shirts and skinny black ties -- is what separates The Bloody Hollies from the crowded field of garage-punk contenders." - The Washington Post LP $10 SKU:4516

BUFFALO KILLERS- Dig Sow Grow Love - MELLOW YELLOW LTD ED COLOR VINYL.-Label:ALIVE TLtd to 300 copies . his collection of atmospheric psychedelia is laced with the swamp blues of the Killers’ first three outings, coupled with a mature, melodic folk nuance sure to have you reaching for your lava lamp. (…) Brilliantly sequenced, organically produced, and genuinely executed, Dig. Sow. Love. Grow. cements Buffalo Killers’ reputation for ’70s-infused tunes in a postmodern package and plants the seeds for growth on new musical horizons. –John Castino / Innocent Words LP $10 SKU:15163

COLLINS- Feel The Noise STARBURST VINYL - Label:ALIVE Produced by Detroit studio legend Jim Diamond, who also plays bass and guitar, and features Dave Shettler (SSM) on drums, Eddie Baranek (The Sights) on lead guitar, and Nikki Corvette.Paul Collins is a guy who's been around the block. He was one of the progenitors of the early power-pop movement in the '70s in not one, but three influential bands of that era - The Nerves, The Breakaways and The Beat (the latter even appearing on Dick Clark's American Bandstand back in the day). He later turned towards a decidedly rootsier approach to his music, exploring country and folk rock, before returning to the more driving, high-energy sounds of his youth on his acclaimed 2010 Alive Naturalsound effort "The King Of Power Pop". His music has been covered by a host of talented musicians, most notably his song "Walking Out On Love," which Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong performed as part of the punk band's hit Broadway musical American Idiot

GABBARD, ANDY - Fluff - LTD ed of 150 PINK VINYL (BUFFALO KILLERS- Modern Grunge Fuzz Pop with 60’s aura ) -Label:ALIVE Brimming with creativity, Fluff by Andy Gabbard, his debut release as a solo artist on Alive Naturalsound, isn't moving beyond what Andy has done, or will continue to do with Buffalo Killers. Sometimes, ultimately, you find yourself with extra moments and more ideas than one band can develop. So naturally, it made perfect sense to give that inward creative need an outlet. Fluff is the end result.Cut in one 12-hour studio session, Andy took on the full responsibility of doing a solo album literally. He played every instrument and wrote everything you hear. Reviving an established relationship with Alive Records, on Fluff you can hear the deeply-solid effects of the grunge genre and mid-'90s 'alternative music' in a sonic gestalt. Exhibiting characteristics of fairly recent genres, as well as some classics that surrounded him during his youth, Fluff breaks barriers of seemingly comfortable, unthreatening music cultivating a physical embodiment of Nirvana, The Smashing Pumpkins, latter Beatles and even Brian Wilson! LP $10 SKU:16540

JOHN THE CONQUEROR - Life LTD EDITION of 100 on MELLOW YELLOW VINYL - Label:ALIVE John The Conqueror’s self-titled debut album is an amalgamation of the many sounds and styles (old and new) mined from both the North and the South. Cousins Pierre Moore (vocals & guitar) and Michael Gardner (drums) are natives of Jackson, MS, while bassist Ryan Lynn hails from Philly – where the trio now call home. Together they mix a bedrock of raw deep blues with funk, soul, punk and scuzzed-up rock-n-roll into one helluva potent musical Molotov cocktail. Moore and Gardner have been playing together in bands since their college days in Oxford, MS, and Moore learned to play guitar in his early teens from a homeless man who slept in the back room of an auto repair shop."The trio from Mississippi, now based in Philly, have the smoothness of classic 50’s soul mixed with a southern twang." – Knuckle Rumbler"It’s all smokestacks, greasy ball bearings, mudslides, and corn liquor swilled from mason jars; raggedly scorching guitar riffs, a thunderous rhythm section, and howled vocals. ‘Say What You Want’ rockets me off my rear every time." – Brian Greene / Happening Magazine LP $140SKU:14630

MONDO DRAG - New Rituals - GREEN VINYL! Ltd. to 200 copies ( psych / stoner rock discovered by Parker Griggs of Radio Moscow ) - Label:ALIVE Trip out with Mondo Drag! From deep in the cosmos of Iowa, this psychedelic outfit has created a strange brew of garage, psych, space, sludge and stoner rock. "New Rituals," their debut for Alive, is an incursion into extended psychedelic blues guitar jams and haunting vocals over heavy, steady bass lines and thumping percussion. Mondo Drag has shared the stage with bands such as Witchcraft, Dead Meadow, Pentagram, and Radio Moscow, to name just a few. "They rock. Most songs clock in at over 6 minutes, yet you don't notice the time go by because they seem to take that long just to rev up. Each song stretches, cries, screams, and tears itself apart." - Berkeley Place LP $10 SKU:14388

MOUNT CARMEL - LTD EDITION of 150 ON PURPLE ( for Radio Moscow fans! ) -Label:ALIVE Amid the current industry of cool, Mount Carmel’s lack of gimmick is a welcome anachronism. The trio’s third album “Get Pure” is full of swagger, packed with great songs and inspired performances. This is true rock music like you haven’t heard in years. Crank it up!Mount Carmel reeks of surging guitar riffs and thunderous backbeats. They’re a power trio in the truest sense of the term and certainly nowhere near as anonymous as their cover art would have you believe. As you may have guessed, this is an album for the heavy blues guitar freaks. – 194 LP $10 SKU:16039

VELVET UNDERGROUND- Boston Tea Party (2CD)-Label:KEYHOLE The year 1968 was a tumultuous one for the Velvet Underground, with the departure of John Cale, the addition of Doug Yule, a gruelling touring schedule and considerable musical transition. Supported by the MC5, the quartet played their final shows of the year at the Boston Tea Party, which Lou Reed once described as his favourite venue. This legendary live recording finds them playing reworked versions of early classics as well as several songs that would appear on their forthcoming third album, and two tracks that went unreleased in their lifetime. It's presented here together with background notes and photographs CD $21 SKU:15811

VERY APE - Kosher Boogie- ( Classic rock from Sweden ) EARLY ALIVE RELEASE! -Label:ALIVE Retro hard rock from Sweden. "Very Ape is every inch a classic rock band, and that's meant as a compliment." - Pop Culture Press CD $5 SKU:2247

VISCIDS- Remember Rock and Roll (Stones, Who style indie ) SALE Label:none “ We're highly influenced by the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Who, as well as new indie bands like The Libertines, The Cribs, and The Exploding Hearts.” 10 songs 33 minutes. CD $1 SKU:5481

VOX DEI- Cuero Caliente! ( 70s Argentine power trio ) - Label:DISC JOCKEY (Argentina) "the power-trio Vox Dei is often regarded as one of the most important Argentinean bands; in 1973.Just after the release of their masterpiece album "La Biblia," the band re-recorded for the Disk Jockey label most of the songs from their debut album (which had originally been recorded for the now-bankrupt Mandioca label); the LP included rock numbers such as 'Reflejos' and 'Compulsión,' as well as great ballads like 'Canción para una mujer (que no está),' which had been released as a single; this classic of Argentinean rock is now available in an edition that includes both sides of their single from 1971 as bonus tracks. CD $14 SKU:5872

WARLOCKS- ST (Spacemen 3, Elevators style) SALE - Label:BOMP Records Debut EP CD. Amazing band, think Velvets, Spacemen 3, 13h Floor Elevators. “On its six-track debut, this L.A. band seems to exist in a kind of opiated haze, redolent of Spacemen 3, a heavier Velvet Underground, and (I suppose) the Jesus and Mar Chain. Occasionally things get a bit more wired, as on the awesomel rollicking "Cavemak Rock." Bomp supremo Greg Shaw is known to be a big fan of these guys, so they'd get my vote even if they didn't have the class to close their album with a 12-minute, 35 second workout entitled "Jam of the Warlocks." - The Big Takeover CD $5 SKU:2085

WAVES OF FURY - Thirst Digipack -SAALE - Label:ALIVE Thirst’ is the debut album from Somerset based Waves Of Fury. This 10 track debut long player sees Carter Sharp (vocals), Bim Williams (horns), Fil Ward (guitars/vocals), James Macphee (drums) and Jamie Bird (pianos/ vocals) take up the rhythm & blues blueprint and filter it through a 40+ year historical path that encompasses everything from Motown & Stax to The Stooges, Clah, Spiritualized & The Mary Chain. It’s a sonic blast of an album, and a welcome breath of fresh air. ‘Thirst’ was recorded at PJ Harvey’s studio in Bristol."Scuzzy proto-punk in the vein of Iggy Pop morphing into a Motown-beat driven garage track. Sounds like a mess; but this isn’t impossibly cluttered, it’s impossibly good. All bursts of horn and screeching vocals – it sounds like a forgotten gem from the Ace Records catalogue, but it’s brand new." – Nicholas Burman / Artrocker

"They have found a way to reconcile their twin passions: Stooges and Stax, garage and soul, rock’n'roll’s trash aesthetic and the exuberance and jubilation of old-style R&B." – The Guardian

"Has a Rolling Stones swagger… it’s like Steppenwolf jamming with The Commodores and is every bit as magnificent as that alliance should be." –å God Is In The TV

"An unholy alliance of scowling, snarling vocals, sleazy guitar licks, Motown horns, and high octane percussion." – The Mad Mackerel

"A full assault on the senses. Lou Reed, Iggy & The Stooges, the New York Dolls influences are clear. A sonic treat!" – Blast 1386

"WOF really don’t sound that much like anyone else. The closest comparison is probably to the jazzier numbers on The Clash’s London Calling, but this is far, far weirder. Lead single ‘Businessman’s Guide to Witchcraft’, manages to tie soulful piano and razor-edged horn stabs to raging, spitting vocals and noisy guitar – it sounds improbable and unpleasant, but, incredibly, it works wonders." – The New Thing CD $5 SKU:14633

WELT - Ashes to Ashes (UK punk Social Dist. style ) SALE - Label:CIDER CITY RECORDS Jason Welt sounds remarkably like he wants to be in Social Distortion, and ‘Ashes to Ashes’ is half way to being a homage to Mike Ness. It’s got a certain charm to it though, street up punk rock to appeak to fans of SD, or maybe the Hellacopters and that kind of stuff. And, let’s be honest, there is NOTHING wrong with a good bit Social Distortion style punk rock if its done well – which this is. CD $3 SKU:7705

WHITE SUMMER - ST ( 76 PSYCH HARD ROCK )-Label:OUT-SIDER (Spain) White Summer's self-titled LP, a private pressing from 1976, reissued with original artwork for the first time. Progressive hard rock with psychedelic touches, melodic vocals, top-level musicianship, and stunning lead guitar. They were Jim Watkins (drums and vocals), Rick Lowe (guitar and vocals), and David Wheeler (bass). White Summer played many shows at high school dances, outdoor festivals, and nightclubs, becoming one of the top rock acts not only in Michigan but also in Florida, where they relocated at the end of the '70s. White Summer's first album, known as the "White Album" due to its simple design, was recorded at Uncle Dirty's Sound Machine Studio in Kalamazoo, Michigan, by Bryce Roberson, who had formerly been an engineer at Chess Records. Self-financed by the band, 1000 copies were pressed and sold in the Michigan area. Sought-after by collectors worldwide, this is the first-ever reissue to feature original artwork. 24-bit domain professional remaster from a mint original vinyl copy (master tapes were lost). WITCHES- A Haunted Person's Guide To ( psych - Label:ALIVE "The best band that you never heard" of is a term that is commonly thrown around with much ado but in the case of The Witches it may well be true. Born in Detroit in 1996 from the mind of bass player Troy Gregory (Dirtbombs, Killing Joke) and with the help of fellow Michigan natives John Nash (Electric Six, LCD Soundsystem) on guitar, and producer Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Von Bondies) on electric twelve-string, The Witches went on to record five amazing albums between 1996 and 2006, with the help of a revolving line-up of Michigan musicians, before vanishing into thin air. "A Haunted Person's Guide To The Witches" compiles material from the band's five albums, and is a comprehensive introduction to the band's unique sound. CD $10 SKU:12502

YELLOW PAYGES- VOL 1 (great 60s garage psych ) SAALE - Label:WALHALLA Great '60's garage psych album reissued at last !

Very much in the Nazz mould (but with a heavier edge) the band are prime 68 US Anglophile psych garage pop but despite a three year long association with UNI Records, Russ Regan never seemed to know quite what to do with this band. Most likely due to an almost constantly fluctuating lineup, an album wasn't released until 1969, and as good as it was, it was a case of right place wrong time. "Two Of Us" and "Devil Woman" are hard psych gems drenched in guitar. "Friends" and "Never Put Away My Love For You" are engaging ballads. "Moonfire" is vaudevillian, "I'm A Man / Here 'Tis" is blues, and "Boogie Woogie Baby" is updated fifties rock. Overall worth investigating and in many ways a minor classic long over looked. CD $12 SKU:4974

Features The Coachwhips, Two Gallants (early recording), Boyskout, Black Cat Music, Hotwires Titans, The Flakes, Big Midnight, etc. "There's a bevy of talent boiling over, captured on this surpringly consistent compilation. The hard-rocking Joan Jett-meets-AC/DC riffage of Nagg opens things with the smug "Beauty of the Bitch." the Coachwhips and Boyskout serve up cool synth-heavy tunes. Big Midnight and Black Cat Music layer Iggy Pop-style confessional rock with ominous layers of guitars and organ. the Holy Kiss sounds desperate and desolate like the finest work of Rowland S. Howard and The Aktion deliver solid power-pop hooks. The Sound Of San Francisco is just about as splintered and random as when I'd left it, but the bands of that time seem to have grown exponentially good extremly quickly." - Skyscrapper COMP CD $3 SKU:13080

TEENAGE SHUTDOWN- Vol 4 Im A No Count ( 60s Garage/Punk ) - Label:CRYPTTEENAGE SHUTDOWN All of the snarling garage punk stompers on Teenage Shutdown: I'm a No-Count, subtitled "19 Top Teen Punk Stomp Classics," have previously appeared elsewhere on various-artist compilations. This time, however, the sound quality is mostly superb, with minimal EQing. The transfers were made by Crypt Records' honcho, Tim Warren, using something called a CEDAR system, which reportedly keeps the warmth of the original analog sound of the singles, many of them coming from the colossal 45 rpm collection of Mike "Moptop" Markesich. The CD booklet -- which features just three black-and-white photos and color scans of the original single labels -- features more in-depth commentary than some of the previous liner notes in this series have. (By the way, even though ? & the Mysterians are shown on the cover in the packaging's only color photo, they aren't featured on this disc.) Things start off here with "Bad Woman" by Fallen Angels, a track dating back to 1970, which was a little late in the day for this type of garage churner. As with all that follows, it's primal, raw, screamin' garage rock that doesn't let up. San Antonio, TX's the Outcasts' contribution, the intense "1523 Blair," may have later inspired the space rock group of the same name who released recordings in the '90s that were later compiled for the Voxx label by Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom. The title track, by Ty Wagner With the Scotchmen, falls about midway in the sequence. According to the liner notes, "I'm a No-Count"'s lead singer was from Santa Ana, CA. "I'm a Nothing" by the Magic Plants (from New York) featured a band lineup with a couple of members who later joined the Left Banke. "It's Trash" by the Cave Men (from Key West, FL) is one of the more experimental tracks here, dating back to July 1966, with blistering psych-fuzz guitar and echo-laden vocals. This band later changed their name to the 4th Generation. As with most of the remaining Teenage Shutdown collections, this one is somewhat hit and miss, but overall, it's a solid collection of snarling, rabid garage punk from the mid-'60s. ~ Bryan Thomas, All Music Guide COMP CD $14 SKU:1160

THREE O CLOCK MERRIAN WEBSTER TIME - 22 Psychedelic Sounds from Texas. 66-68Label:CICADELIC RECORDS (USA) By the time 1966 ended, many of the groups in Texas that started out playing British Invasion and folk-rock music, were now immersing themselves in the newly emerging psychedelic music. The five groups that comprise this album reflect the changes that occurred during this period and four of them even changed their names to sound more psychedelic. The Nomads became Smoke, Carrols Mood became The Sights And Sounds, The New Imperials became The Front Page News, and The Boys became The Remaining Few. Represented by twelve tracks on this album, The Nomads/Smoke, started out playing folk-rock music, but by 1967 went psychedelic-as witnessed by their “freak-out” version of “My Little Red Book” replete with backwards tapes. “Carrols Mood” went from singing ballads to surreal songs such as “Mystical Bells”. The Front Page News went from the soul of “Baby Let Me Bang Your Box” to the fuzz drenched “Thoughts and Afterthoughts”. If the 13th Floor Elevators were the epitome of what a Texas psychedelic band was, then the groups on this album were not far behind in trying to emulate that state of existence. Here then are twenty-two tracks compiling the changes that occurred from late 1966 to 1968, when the Texas bands went metaphorically speaking from “Kool-Aid” to “Electric Kool-Aid Acid” COMP CD $10 SKU:13278

TITAN - ITS ALL POP- VA DBL CD ( 70s Power Pop / Glam Pop ) SAALE -Label:NUMERO GROUP From 1978-1981 the Titan label issued only eight records, but over the years their tiny catalog has crawled to the top of power-pop want lists worldwide and appeared on scads of bootleg cassettes, building a legacy to rival L.A.’s Bomp (Suzy Shaw says..."I dont THINK SO!! ULTRA CHICKS - VOL 2 ( 60s French pop ) - Label:MATRIX
French-language, female-sung '60s pop and rock on this 24-track collection, subtitled "Lolita Ya-Ya!" Not a name here that'll be familiar to anyone except the French and hard-bitten collectors of the ye-ye style, although there's a novelty song by actress Anna Karina (Serge Gainsbourg's knowingly ludicrous "Roller Girl," which despite the title is in French). You might also recognize the name Gillian Hills, the British actress who starred in Beat Girl, and who offers one of the best songs, a pretty bluesy, menacing item called "Maintenant Il Telephone." Much of this sounds caught between lightweight early-'60s twist music, continental European pop, and mid-'60s mod rock (there's some pretty scorching guitar and organ), performed by one-named singers such as Dani, Ariane, Aline, Elsa, Clothilde, Cleo, Eileen, and Joanna. HIPSVILLE - VOl 2 (60s garage ) - Label:NORTON The second volume in Kramden Records' (an early forerunner of Norton) Hipsville series scores big rockin' points with this collection of what they refer to on the front cover as "16 more delicious mystery appetizers." Split evenly between a "Friday Night side" (party tunes) and a "Saturday Night side" ("no money, no honey, no nothin'"), this musically follows in the footsteps of the debut entry. On the Friday night side, the highlights are plentiful, but heading the list are the Caravans' "3 Musketeers" (that's right, an ode to a candy bar), the Cardinals' "Hatchet Face," Florian Monday & His Mondos' "Rip It Up," "Go Go Ferarri" by the (no relation to the band of the same name that did "Time Won't Let Me") Outsiders. On the Saturday night loser side (also check entry for Shutdown '66 for more prime mid-'60s self-pitying material), the Fearsome Five's "It's Alright," the Revelles' "You Don't Love Me No More" (complete with a jaw-droppingly lame harmonica solo), and the Hermon Knights' "You're Not Mine" are raw genius, loaded to the gills with '60s teenage angst galore. If '60s garage band records chock full of sizzling fuzz guitars, trebly Farfisa combo organs, simple but noisy drumming, and hyperkinetic tambourines to go with the alternately wimpy and sneering lead vocals is your thing, you can't do without this one for the collection. ~ Cub Koda COMP LP $14 SKU:11716

KALEIDOSCOPE- Side Trips (dazzling 60s psych ) sale - Label:SUNDAZED Like a mind-boggling combination of Summer of Love acid-rock, goodtime saloon music and a Middle Eastern jam session, Side Trips, the debut album by Kaleidoscope, stood out, even in the eye of the psychedelic hurricane, as something altogether different! Staffed by a hall of fame roster of multi-instrumentalists—David Lindley, Chris Darrow, Solomon Feldthouse, Chester Crill (aka: Fenrus Epp) and John Vidican—this San Gabriel Valley, Calif.-based combo cut their dazzling 1967 album with a startling arsenal of instruments that included banjo, fiddle, doumbeg, mandolin, viola, saz, bouzoukee, dobro, vina, authoharp, oud and clarinet. When they entertained the wide-eyed customers of San Francisco’s Fillmore and Avalon Ballrooms and Los Angeles’ Ash Grove, they frequently employed flamenco and belly dancers onstage. Just like the see-through tube with bits of colored glass and mirrors that gave the band their name, the Kaleidoscope was never the same, no matter which way you turned it! LP $19 SKU:14252

KATCH 22 - IT'S SOFT ROCK AND ALL SORTS (1968 hidden popsyke gem)SAALE - Label: WAH WAH Unearthing another hidden gem from the Saga catalogue. Katch 22 were a bunch of young boys that produced the UK answer to the US Soft-Rock scene. It is ironic that a UK band can be so influenced by those US bands that were most highly under the influence of British popsike! Think of Harper's Bizarre, The Association, The Millenium or Eternity's Children even higher on tea! A surprisingly good production for a Saga pop/psych LP, the album is built up of excellent cover versions of some greats of the genre, paying tribute to the likes of The Left Banke ('Walk Away Rene'), Simon & Garfunkel / Harper's Bizarre ('Feelin' Groovy') or even Buffalo Springfield ('Go And Say Goodbye') and also of some good originals in the same vein. It is certainly an underated period piece that deserves a wider recognition, a great sounding album of orchestrated (and non orchestrated) pop sounds. The album was originally issued on Saga / Eros subsidiary in 1968, and the Wah Wah reissue respects the colourful sleeve and reprints the original insert, with sound remastered from the original tapes by Denis Blackham at Skye Mastering. Offered in a limited 500 copies only edition! LP $22 SKU:11931

This is the release of the KINGS OF NUTHIN acclaimed 2004 album, and these Boston's rockabilly mutants destroy on this fifteen-song gem. "With their stellar musicianship and impeccable style, a more perfect album is scarce. Intent on bringing back the neglected elements of swing, they infuse it with barhouse boogie-woogie, gospel, and ragtime. It's surprisingly authentic, as these boys have obviously done their homework. The lyrics are superb, with a sense of humore bigger than a plate of pasta at your aunt Dora's, and nearly as big as her. Not ones to skimp, they give up a fifteen songs here without a single clunker." - E. Wadharmi / Lollipop LP $15 SKU:13124

KISSING SPELL - Los Pajaros ( S. American West Coast style 70s psych )- Label:ACME Reissue of one of the best and most sought after South American psych albums (1970), remastered from the original stereo master tapes. So it's not the guitar rave-up record many expect from South American psych. Instead, it's West-coast styled introspection from Chile, more akin to We All Together (if you need another South American reference point) at times than anything else. Well-crafted songs with an attractive dreamy quality enhanced by spacey effects, occasional bursts of well-handled fuzz guitar, and strong harmonies; sticker text likens it to the Zombies “Odyssey & Oracle”… not sure I hear that, but it’s an excellent album to be sure. Includes Kissing Spell’s up-tempo track 'Yellow Moon', which was on Latin American "Love Peace and Poetry" compilation; most tracks in English, with a couple of exceptions. LP $22 SKU:16428

KLEPTOMANIA - ELEPHANT LOST DBL LP 180 gram gatefold w liners, rare photos - Label:PSEUDONYM Double vinyl reissue (plus three unissued versions as killer bonus tracks) of this famous Belgian heavy psych/prog album. 'Elephant Lost' was recorded in 1971, but remained shelved for a number of years before it saw an actual small scale release, in '79. Inspired by Hendrix, blues, jazz and early '70s heavy rock, the band delivered a fistful of blooz fuzz on 'Moonchild', utilized a potent riff-and-vocal combination on 'Stop', blended melody with a heavy sound on 'Visit From Above', and showed off their chops on some spacey jams. This definitely is one of Europe's finest heavy rock rarities from the era! This double-LP (with remastered sound from the original tapes) is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and comes packaged in a deluxe heavy gatefold sleeve. Included are rare archival photos and liner notes by Ugly Things' Doug Sheppard) LP $35 SKU:15969

KNICKERBOCKERS- Jerk and Twine Time 180 gram mono ltd edition SAALE - Label:SUNDAZED Although the Knickerbockers hailed from Bergenfield, New Jersey, anyone listening to the radio in early 1966 would have sworn that they were from Liverpool. That’s when the band’s overpoweringly infectious signature tune “Lies” stormed the AM airwaves, convincing many stateside listeners that they were hearing a fab new Beatles single.

Jerk and Twine Time emphasizes the raw immediacy of the Knickerbockers’ origins as a live band. Beyond the dance-craze anthem “Jerk Town” and the venerable R&B instrumental “Twine Time,” the set offers a memorable mix of the British Invasion, R&B and Motown covers that dominated the band’s live repertoire at the time, with memorable renditions of the Zombies’ “She’s Not There” and the Kinks anthems “You Really Got Me” and “All Day and All of the Night.” They also tear into the Kingsmen’s garage novelty “The Jolly Green Giant,” the Motown standard “Money (That’s What I Want)” and the R&B classics “Land of 1000 Dances” and “The ‘In’ Crowd.” Out of print in its original LP format for nearly half a century, this vintage ’60s gem has been sourced from the original mono tapes and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, with complete original cover art LP $16 SKU:11881

KNICKERBOCKERS- Lies mono edition Beatlesque jangle, garage grit and frat-rock adrenaline)SAALE - Label:SUNDAZED Out of print in its original LP format for nearly half a century, this vintage ’60s gem has been sourced from the original mono tapes and pressed on 180 gram vinyl, with complete original cover art. Although they ironically rode the faux-English sound of “Lies” to chart success, the Knickerbockers were actually seasoned live performers who were adept at whipping Garden State crowds into a frenzy long before the British Invasion hit U.S. shores. A distinctive blend of Beatlesque jangle, garage grit and frat-rock adrenaline. LP $16 SKU:14433

KROKODIL-The First Recordings 60s Krautrock legends 180 gram vinyl—also includes bonus region free DVD! -Label:KROKODIL First official reissue of the second Krokodil album, "Swamp". The infectious album, originally issued by Liberty in 1970, shows a band in flux between the scorching boogie-blues workouts of their eponymous debut and the massive stoned psych action of their third album masterpiece ("An Invisible World Revealed,"). Many German and Swiss groups attempted to sing in English to broaden their audience and virtually all failed to do so. Yet "Swamp" reveals itself to be one of the best examples of this phenomena, venturing into Van Morrison, Fairport Convention, and even Wailers territory at times, even as the rest of the band experimented with sitars, flutes and avant percussion. A great artistic development for the band without ever drifting into pop clichés. Recorded at Bavaria-Tonstudios, München. Comes on 180-gram vinyl, presented in a gatefold sleeve with an embossed crocodile leather front cover. The printed inner sleeve offers many previously unpublished photographs. •First official reissue of the second Krokodil album 180 gram vinyl in a gatefold sleeve . LP $29 SKU:17007

LAGHONIA-GLUE- ( Peruvian psych w bio and pics)-Label:WORLD IN SOUND This is the re-release of World In Sound's limited collectors edition from 2006. The core of Laghonia featured a combination of Peruvian and US citizens, Saul Cornejo (vocals, guitar), Manuel Cornejo (drums) and David Levene (lead guitar and vocals). All eight tunes on this album were released on 45s under the group's earlier name New Juggler Sound. When the band changed its name into Laghonia in 1970, the 'Glue' album came out, with lyrics in English, great fuzz-wah-wah guitars, Hammond B-2 organ and appealing percussion. The music is catchy psychedelic rock'n'roll, influenced by the British Invasion, especially the Beatles and Yardbirds, but also explodes with heavy guitar riffage/solos in the vein of Santana, Cream or Hendrix. The album is remastered from the mastertape and includes a poster with a bio and band pics. Both Laghonia LP's, 'Glue' and 'EtCetera', belong to the most legendary and most collectable South-American '70s albums! LP $28 SKU:16408

LAZY SMOKE- Corridor Of Faces - DEMOS ( 60s psych masterpiece ) SALE Label:JACKPOT RECORDS Demos of one of the most collectible & respected psych albums. Unreleased ’67 acetate of The Road Runners included!! In 2010, Jackpot reissued Lazy Smoke "Corridor of Faces", the sole output from a short lived Massachusetts psychedelic pop anomaly called Lazy Smoke that existed for a blink of an eye in 1968. Unearthed and recently recovered is this handful of spare demos. Crushingly honest and intimate, most of these songs would later see reworked for the debut album.

In addition to the twelve 1967 demos, Corridor Of Faces Demos LP also includes two songs originally recorded to acetate in 1966 by pre-Lazy Smoke project: The Road Runners. These two slabs of proto-garage have never seen the light of day, and none of the songs included here have ever been released on vinyl. A must have for any fan of the proper album, but also a fantastic stand alone piece, creating an undeniable mood that can warm or chill you before any given song comes to a close.

LEOPARDS - Magic Still Exists (Repress of the orig 1987 Kinks-style garage release ) PURPLE Label:VOXX In 1987 The Leopards sounded as wonderfully Kinky as ever, and when the band got around to releasing Magic Still Exists, the Kinks had a lower profile than ever, which made this album a most welcome arrival. LEOPOLD, PERRY-Christian Lucifer ( 70s hippie psych) -Label:PSI (PSYCHEDELIC SOUNDS INTERNATIONAL) (GERMANY) Reissue of Perry Leopold's second album and magnum opus, Christian Lucifer, created between 1971 and 1973 following his 1970 acid folk debut, Experiment In Metaphysics his enchanting album is some kind of mystery and miracle -- a mystery because its master tapes, except for some mixdown copies, were erased for reuse soon after the recordings had been finished, because the studio went bankrupt and the material was sold. Perry Leopold was an ambitious musician from the Philadelphia area who played in rock bands in the '60s and released his solo debut, the acid folk masterpiece Experiment In Metaphysics (GUESS 096LP), in 1970. From 1971 to 1973 Perry worked on his magnum opus, Christian Lucifer, an even more sophisticated and melodic album than his debut, still drenched colors that humans should not see and executed with a sense of progressiveness that was mainly associated with the European rock scene of the time. Perry Leopold created the album almost entirely alone, with melodies of an unearthly, mythical beauty that he connected with cantilevered instrumental passages of acoustic guitars, cellos, bells, strings, flutes, and a few analog keyboards and organs layered upon each other in harmonic structures of utter complexity. The whole piece of sound art, despite the overall accessible approach, bears a deeply spiritual atmosphere and sets your soul in a quiet and peaceful mood. Highly recommended for fans of progressive and symphonic folk and singer-songwriter artists of the ancient days like The Incredible String Band, Dulcimer, and Nick Drake, but also of later psychedelic folksters like In Gowan Ring or Birch Book LP $25 SKU:16656
