Label Buzz & News Flashes!

Wow, check out this video.. PUNKNEWS premiers the new BEECHWOOD video and says “Built around a cold wave of shimmering guitars and wails, "This Time Around" pulls from the sinister aesthetic of first wave goth and the mid-70s nihilism of Bowie and Lou Reed in equal measures. Fittingly, images of war and chaos are layered on top of these nasty vibes, suggesting that the terror of the past may very well be right around the corner”.

THE PULSE interviews the BONNEVILLES and declare them to be” the 200 proof rocking real deal… classic, blues-based power trio circa 1967."

HAVENSTREET -The end of the line /Perspectives-1977 ACID FOLK DBLLabel:SOMMER The genesis of Havenstreet goes back to 1969, when Phil Ridgway and Jeff Vinter played in The Gas, an experimental psychedelic band heavily influenced by Barrett-era Pink Floyd. The two friends started to write songs their own songs, ending up as a folk duo. With the offer to record some of their material at a friend’s studio, they recruited more musical friends… and Havenstreet was born. The influences had expanded now to bands and artists such as Peter Hammill, Strawbs, Traffic, Procol Harum, Stackridge, Keith Tippett, Bert Jansch. In the early-mid 70s they recorded a couple of albums which circulated as private cassettes among friends and relatives. In 1977, Havenstreet privately released “The End Of The Line”, in an edition of 250 copies. It was collection of very English songs with evocative, literate lyrics and a stunning progressive folk-rock sound. It featured one of the earliest known tributes to Syd Barrett on the song 'When the madcap meets the world'. This expanded double set reissue of Havenstreet’s sought after album includes: *The original “The End of the Line” album from 1977. *A new album called “Perspectives” which presents the best tracks from the privately pressed cassettes The Autumn Wind (1974) and Transition (1976) plus rehearsal recordings for The End of the Line (1975/1976) and previously unreleased recordings for the group’s projected fourth album (1979), which was never completed. These amazing tracks range from electric acid-folk to Barrett-esque psych-pop, pastoral folk and Caravan styled prog-rock. *16-page LP-sized booklet with photos and detailed liner notes. Remastered from the original master tapes. “…Combining the back-to-basics acoustic feel of the nu-folk generation with a swirly, psychedelic vibe, ”The End of the Line” could actually be an album that was made in 2014. But this album was privately released in 1977. Now finally remastered and brought into the present, the retrospective feeling is amplified and should appeal greatly to fans of 70s folk and progressive music. This reissue is a must have even for the lucky few who own an original copy of the album as it comes with a bonus disc, ”Perspectives”, that compiles non-LP tracks from 1974-79. The quality of the extra material shines through…” – Michael Bjorn (Strange Days Magazine)" CD $12 SKU:19876

ISLEY BROTHERS -Go For Your Guns: Expanded Edition 1977-Label:BIG BREAK Released in 1977, "Go For Your Guns" reached #1 on the R&B album charts and #6 on the Pop charts and has gone on to become many fans’ favourite Isley Brothers album. The first single 'The Pride (Part 1)' topped the R&B singles chart and was followed by the funk rock of 'Livin' In the Life,' which reached the Top 5 on the R&B chart and also the US Pop Top 40. However, the album’s true lasting classics are the oft-sampled 'Footsteps In the Dark' (which became the basis for Ice Cube's 'It Was a Good Day') and 'Voyage to Atlantis,' which although only a small R&B hit at the time, later became a Quiet Storm radio classic and a staple of the band’s live shows. KEITH -Adventures of Keith (1969 Brit pop gem)-Label:RPM he first time on CD for this overlooked British Pop gem, originally released in 1969. The music speaks to Keith's British Pop influences, and the arrangements twist and turn in such a way that they could only be from a songwriter enthralled with "Sgt Pepper's." All of this explains why the "Adventures of Keith" fell through the cracks in mainstream 1969 America, only to become a highly sought-after soft rock collectable in recent years CD $8 SKU:19874

PRIME TIME -Flying High: Expanded Edition 1972 Electro funk-Label:BIG BREAK Prime Time was an electro Funk band out of Los Angeles, who formed in 1972. The line up consisted of Jimmy Hamilton on keyboards, Frankie Babe Moore on drums, Dale Hightower on percussion and Maurice Hayes on the bass and lead vocals. "Flying High" was released in 1984 on Total Experience Records, who by this point were famous for providing a label home for the likes of the GAP Band, Yarbrough & Peoples, Pennye Ford and the legendary Billy Paul. The suitably sparse opening track 'I Owe it To Myself' climbed all the way to #21 on the US R&B chart and was covered the following year by fellow Total Experience group, the Gap Band. Other notable tracks include the atmospheric Electro groove, 'Give It To the Beat' along with the upbeat and slightly haunting jam, 'Love Talk.' Both of these tracks went on to become firm dance and funk fan favourites throughout the 80’s and beyond. CD $8 SKU:19875

ALPAY- YETKE (70s TURKISH PSYCH) Label:PHARAWAY SOUNDS IIn Turkey, psychedelia wasnt just some fleeting fad. Fuzzed-out guitar shredding genuinely intersected with some of the goals of traditional folk & classical music. As a result, even former twist singers & folk balladeers explored some fascinating & wild territory. Meet Alpay, the soccer player turned lawyer turned singer who started matching local lyrics to Western arrangements even before the mid-60s countrywide battle of the bands concerts. These early 70s singles lay down doleful Anatolian melodies, and they're simply soaking in heavy & wah-ed out guitar solos. If you're ready to go beyond Baris & Erkin, this is the perfect spot. Remastered Sound, insert / booklet with liner notes by Angela Sawyer (Weirdo Records CD $12 SKU:19200

BODO MOLITOR- Hits Internacionales (ultra-rare 60s Mexican psych holy grail for collectors paper-sleeve mini-LP replica. ) -Label:VAM MEXICO Official master-tape reissue of this ultra-rare Mexican garage psych record that's a holy grail for collectors. Globe-trotting artist Bodo Molitor may have been born in Germany, but he’ll forever be associated with the psychedelic scene in Mexico. In addition to creating the zoomorphic art for his own bizarre album, he also created the psychedelic art for the Kaleidoscope album, for La Libre Expresion, and for his brother Reinhold’s solo album. As for “Hits Internacionales”, it has all the ambience and psychedelic delirium of the time, full of devastating fuzz and wacked out rhythms. And then there is Bodo’s raspy and savage voice. Impressive. As Antonio Malcara says in his book "Catologo subjetivo y segregacionista del Rock Mexicano", this LP and that of Kaleidoscope are the two most important and representative pieces of Mexican garage rock-psychedelia. Collectors offer thousands of dollars to be able to get an original copy of “Hits Internacionales” in good condition CD $12 SKU:15120

CHAMBERS BROTHERS- Time Has Come Today BEST OF (60s PSYCH!) LAST COPIES!Label:TRACK RECORDS As the Chambers Brothers' albums could be erratic and/or excessive, this 16-track best-of, covering their 1966-70 prime, is a most welcome distillation of their career highlights. Focusing mostly on their late-'60s singles (some of them non-LP), it also includes a live rendition of "Wade in the Water" and a rejected, even more psychedelicized, 1966 version of their signature tune, "Time Has Come Today." By concentrating on the band's most economic and soulful outings, this disc is the most effective compilation of their gospel-soul-psychedelia." -AllMusic Guide CD $12 SKU:19055

INFINITY- Collected Works 1969-70 (UK psych legends) Label:ACME Legendary UK psych outfit Infinity formed in 1969 from the ashes of “Chocolate Soup” psych faves the Flies and Cymbaline. The mission: to develop a heavy psychedelic/pop sound, and express it through complex original songs. Thanks to some funky Hammond organ, punchy guitars, and the band’s unique harmonies, Infinity were no run of the mill outfit. Upon their return to mainland England from a residency in Jersey, they joined the high-profile NEMS agency, alongside heavy hitters like Pink Floyd, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Soft Machine, and Pretty Things. In late 1969 and early 1970, following support slots with The Searchers and Marmalade, Infinity recorded original material for a proposed album, which was meant to explore “time, space, matter, energy and chicken phal, said in some circles to be so hot in a culinary sense that it's temperature approached infinity,” or so they have said, with tongue-in-cheek, we have to believe. Sadly, they broke up soon after the sessions. The good news is that the band left behind the recordings presented on this disc, which can now be enjoyed in the digital format after the passage of more than four decades! Comes with a 24-page booklet which includes band history, photos, and more, printed on FSC recycled, chlorine-free, 100% post-consumer fiber paper manufactured using biogas energy. CD $14 SKU:11333

LITTLE BOY BLUES- In The Woodland Of Weir (60s acid rock)Label:KISMET Their sole album made with a revised line-up and originally released in October 1968 -- incorporates jazz, classical and acid-rock influences, and makes its long-overdue return to CD here, complete with all their non-album singles sides. Includes liner notes. Formed in Chicago in 1964, The Little Boy Blues soon became local heroes, opening for The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Paul Revere & The Raiders, and many others. Having played innumerable live dates and appeared on top TV shows, their sound took a psychedelic turn in 1967. CD $10 SKU:13424

LOS LOCOS DEL RITMO- Barbara Ann- RARE MEXICAN 1966 MINI LP SLV Label:VAM terrific set of Spanish-language covers of American and British hits from Mexico's incomparable Los Locos Del Ritmo. On this 1966 album, they tackle surf on "Barbara Ann (Vas a Ver)" and "Fun, Fun, Fun (Voy, Voy, Voy)"; garage on The Kinks' "I Need You (Te Quiero)" and The Sorrows' "Take a Heart (Tomas un Corazón)"; British Invasion pop on "She's Not There" and "Tired of Waiting"; jerk and even a classic tango song from Carlos Gardel. It's all played with fantastic youthful energy and the group is both tight and just rough enough around the edges to give the songs a bit of garage-y immediacy. Check it out!

MICHAEL ANGELO - DBL CD w S/T" (Guinn Sessions) + "Sorcerer's Dream" + "Nuts" -Label:LION Stunning work from Michael Angelo – a little-known singer/songwriter from the Kansas City scene of the late 70s – one with a style that's totally great, but way too off the era's chronological expectations to get much notice at the time! Michael's music has a real late 60s vibe – some of the trippier folk modes of someone like Donovan, but mixed with the more complete songwriting of an artist like Nilsson or some of the hipper LA writers of the late 60s – all recorded in this laidback, understated way – especially for the 70s – with acoustic guitar most strongly in the mix, and a few other light rhythm touches and keyboards. The production's sharper than folk, but not much more so – and the music here is a great reminder that while we can look at the rock and roll timeline, and think that the punk explosion of the mid 70s was changing everything at once – out in the hinterlands there were still folks like Angelo who were dedicated to refining an older craft. The CD features a huge amount of material – the full original self-titled album, more tracks from those sessions, and a full second album recorded around the same time. 32 tracks on 2CDs, with lots of notes too – and titles that include "Field Of Lonely Eyes", "Future", "Journey To Find Who We Are", "Russian Lament", "Nubian Queen", "This Is The Night", "Love Is Too High", "Spirits Of Mercury", and "SOS Titanic CD $15 SKU:16805

SOFT MACHINE- Turns On Vol 1 &2 (1967) DOUBLE CD -Label:VOICEPRINT (England) Double disc combines both individual "Turns On" volumes, in new packaging. Volume 1 is a vital collection of archival live Soft Machine recordings from 1967, and (unlike “Turns On Vol. 2”) includes some studio recordings. Robert Wyatt's drumming is nearly miraculous, and Mike Ratledge's organ is at its daring and explorative best. Fans will appreciate some of these recordings, especially the first 'Clarence in Wonderland'; the 13-minute 'Hope for Happiness'; and Wyatt's 'Lullaby Letter.' Recording information: European Studio (1967); Middle Earth And Speakeasy Clubs, London, England (1967); UK Studio (1967). As for Vol. 2, this is not meant as an introduction to the band for novices, but lovers of the Soft Machine will be blown away by the alternate versions on the disc; they are even more daring than the official releases. The tracks on this disc are drawn from three live performances: tracks 1-5 are from Amerstdam, 10 December 1967; track 6 is from the Middle Earth Club in London, 10 November 1967; tracks 7-14 are from Col Ballroom, Davenport, Iowa, 11 August 1968. SPRIGUNS -Revel, Weird and Wild (1976 Brit folkrock)-Label:ESOTERIC "So, you love English folk/rock, but you’ve never heard of Spriguns? Don’t feel bad... Many people outside of England don’t know this group, or their singer, Mandy Morton, even though in her homeland she is considered on a par with such well-known English female folk singers as Sandy Denny (Fairport Convention), and Maddy Prior (Steeleye Span). Formed in 1972, the band was originally known as Spriguns of Tolgus and were formed by Mike and Mandy Morton. The band’s debut album was produced by Tim Hart of Steeleye Span and brought them to the attention of Decca Records for whom the album "Revel Weird and Wild” was recorded in 1976. By this time the band were known as Spriguns and had become more rock influenced. The album "Time Will Pass” followed in 1977 and was perhaps the band’s finest hour, with orchestral arrangements by Robert Kirby, famed for his work with Nick Drake. Perhaps not quite as rare as Mellow Candle’s sole Decca LP; even so, both Spriguns albums are in the same league musically as that of their Irish label-mates. Both of these Esoteric Recordings reissues have been newly remastered from the original Decca master tapes and include a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork. Two superb and often overlooked major label folk rock classics, now available at an affordable price. Morton’s voice is lovely and captivating, the songs lilting and Celtic-ish—if this is a sound you like, these albums are for you!" CD $10 SKU:19079

ST JOHN’S GREEN- ST (L.A. 60s psych GREEK pressing ) w liners -Label:ACID SYMPOSIUM Strange Kim Fowley produced psychedelic opus—'canyon music' as this Los Angeles area group might have described it; strange songs about the fires of hell and spacemen from Venus with some anti 'flower power' songs and stoned sounding jams that show why they were touted by Fowley as the next 'in-thing'—they weren't, of course, but a strong album all the same CD $10 SKU:18973

TERCO - ST (70s Brazilian psych)-Label:DISCOS MARIPOSA Their second album (1972), a landmark of Brazilian progressive/psychedelic rock, in no small part thanks to Luiz Pablo Simas (ex-member of Módulo 1000), who brought his talent and his mini-Moog to the band. O Terço had been working on a new sound for some time, taking part in the 'Aberto para Obras' spectacle in 1970 at the Teatro de Arena do Largo da Cariocafor, the main arena for bullfighting. People wending their way through barbed-wire had to choose between looking at a lower stage, upon which Modulo 1000 was playing, or at an upper stage, where O Terço was playing. Below, a woman prepared popcorn in a stove, and further on, seated in a urinal, the brother of O Terço band-member Jorge Amiden played static on his guitar for three hours, then smashed his instrument to pieces! Participation in this sort of anarchy makes it no surprise that their album kicks off with a hard rock guitar riff, perhaps influenced by King Crimson, Led Zeppelin or even Black Sabbath; even so, other tracks present a blend of symphonic and psychedelic sounds, with beautiful pastoral passages that demonstrate the influence of Os Mutantes, the Moody Blues, and early Pink Floyd. The final track, 'Amanhecer Total' ('Complete Dawn'), is amazing - a nineteen minute collage with a pastoral introduction (and lovely female vocals), vocals, synth lines, acoustic guitars and percussion effects that provide a fine, easy atmosphere; then a psychedelic section, with strange keyboard effects merged with fading voices - dreamy, and ambient; heavy guitar riffs, low-profile keyboards, and aggressive vocals revisit the album's first track; then the finale, with soft piano (revisiting the bucolic origins of the suite) and synthesizer coloring the mantra-like chorus. A grand finale for a great album. Two bonus tracks are from an EP released between the first album and this one." CD $12 SKU:6149

VON, RONNIE -A Máquina Voadora (70s psych)-Label:DISCOS MARIPOSA “The last and probably best album from Vons incredible psychedelic trilogy from the years 1969-1970. We said some time ago that of the three key albums from this long-time Brazilian pop-star, that the first was the best, but hearing this again suggests that its time to revise that opinion. It1s true that all three albums make it clear that the psychedelic effects of Tropicalia were not confined to Os Mutantes, Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso, and Gal Costa. Yes, Von often takes a poppier angle in getting to a similar fuzz-guitar driven musical landscape, but not only does he get there all the same, on this album the pop is minimal, and the fuzz supreme. Its difficult to describe how balanced this album is, as it features truly one-of-a-kind songs, which include any number of effects and treatments of Ronnie1s enchanting voice, all of which matches perfectly with the mysterious and melancholic songs on the album. Listen to it and let yourself fly into the far reaches of Ronnie Vons dreamy, twisted mind. Comes with a fulsome 20-page booklet that includes a history of Vons career (sort of), as well as lyrics” CD $10 SKU:8629

COLOGNE CURIOSITIES -The Nuggets of krautrock !-Label:FLASHBACK (UK) Collects for the first time on vinyl, all the otherwise unpublished/un-reissued material that originally appeared on the three Unknown Deutschland - The Krautrock Archive CDs released on Virgin in 1996. These CD only releases were originally compiled by Trevor Manwaring (Paratactile, Impetus, Virgin, Harmonia Mundi) from tapes supplied to him by Toby Robinson. Toby, aka The Mad Twiddler, aka Genius P. Orridge, is well-known to krautrock collectors as one of a number of engineers working at Stockhausen's WDR and Dierks Studio in Cologne in the mid-1970s, where he assisted on recordings by many famous kraut bands such as Can,Birth Control, Mythos and Dzyan. The recordings included here were made between 1972 and 1976 using studios in and around Cologne, produced by Toby Robinson for his own amusement. Bands would come in for practice sessions, to record demos, and during slack periods, impromptu jams would happen. Most of these sessions were recorded by Toby, and they feature Toby himself plus a revolving cast of friends and musicians (some of them apparently big kraut names under pseudonym). Including lost-in-time bands/studio projects like Astral Army, Fuerrote, Spirulina and Baal among others, the music here ranges from killer proto-new wave kraut psych to wild space rock, proto-ambient electronic, dark psychedelia and raw kosmische sounds with lots of analog synths/Moog. It was during that time in Cologne, that Toby, along with Fluxus artist Robin Page, gave birth to the mysterious and controversial Pyramid label, for which these tracks were originally made for. 24-bit domain remaster from the original master tapes. Insert with detailed liner notes by Alan Freeman (Ultima Thule, The Crack In The Cosmic Egg (2007)). Also features: Chronos, Neil Andersen and Ten To Zen. RIYL: Pink Floyd, Gila, Cluster, Hawkwind, Ash Ra Tempel, Amon Düül II, Popol Vuh, Cosmic Jokers. COMP LP $25 SKU:18342

REMBRANDT RECORDS STORY:- OPEN UP YOUR MIND 1966-67 - PLUS+ 7 (60s garage psych) - Label:BREAK-A-WAY REMBRANDT Records, a Chicago based Garage and Psychedelic label of the sixties. After the first release by the Nite-Owls failed to chart, Rembrandt Records’ owner Reggie Weiss moved in a different direction. His next release, “Open Up Your Mind” by the Nuchez, merged pop with psychedelic music. The song was based on an LSD trip and response to the single was positive. Soon other psych and psych-pop singles were issued by The Circus, The Nickel Bag, and Monday’s Children. Cash Box magazine began plugging Rembrandt Records during the fall of 1966. By 1967, Weiss was devoting all of his time to promoting a high-school band called The Lemon Drops. He wrote another LSD inspired song titled “I Live In The Springtime” for the band. Unfortunately, the single was unable to chart, even regionally. Over the ensuing decades though, the reputation of The Lemon Drops, The Nuchez, The Nite-Owls and other Rembrandt artists has grown immeasurably. This compilation contains the most important singles sides issued on Rembrandt Records between 1966-1967, plus a number of essential previously unreleased versions that are appearing for the first time ever on vinyl. The fourteen recordings on this album make it apparent that Rembrandt Records was way ahead of its time when these treasures from the psychedelic 60’s were recorded. First 500 copies with 7" Single incl. two unreleased 1967 first time on vinyl recordings by the Nite-Owls. COMP LP $18 SKU:16555

31 FLAVORS- Hair(Rare 60s psych) -Label:OUT-SIDER (Spain) In the late 60s, a bunch of mysterious psychedelic exploitation albums were released by the budget Crown label in the US. Issued under different band names (The Firebirds, Underground Electrics, 31 Flavors…) , they were recorded by an anonymous group of studio musicians. “Hair” by 31 Flavors is the counterpart to “Light My Fire” by The Firebirds. Along with demented raw garage covers of “Hair” and “Aquarius”, it contains some of the heaviest, fuzzed out exploitation sounds ever committed to vinyl. You can hear echoes of Blue Cheer, Hendrix and Sabbath, featuring proto-doom, heavy-psych bombs like “Distortions of darkness” “One of the best of the psych-ploitation LPs, with more fuzzzz than a dozen 1971 private press hardrockers. Great raw live feel, wild playing and excellent fuzz riffs” -Patrick Lundborg (Acid Archives) LP $19 SKU:15775

CASE - Blackwood (1971) Color insert includes notes by the band + rare photos • Limited to 500 copies -Label:LION Almost completely unknown and rarely spoken of album of nine original tracks, self-released on the legendary RPC Records label by a group of self-motivated teens from Pennsylvania. Luckily for lovers of musical mayhem, the Case got access to their school music room and a four-track recorder over a Christmas break in 1971. A rock-solid, hard-driving rhythm section lays down the necessary underpinning for moody organ and beautifully-toned guitar. There is sheer joy at play here, a kind of rock 'n' roll exuberance—with ample raw talent and wicked riffing—which shines through on every cut. Terrific raw, primitive album, simultaneously loose and intense, like the Velvet Underground at their best. • Terrific primitive album recorded in 1971 by some very advanced high-schoolers during their Christmas vacation, self-released on the legendary RPC Records label LP $14 SKU:15626

Their biggest success and recognition though, came in 1967 under their new name “The Fifth Estate” when they charted nationwide with their baroque rock adaptation “Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead”. But it’s the 1964 – 66 recorded tracks on this platter which were first played to the neighbourhood kids and then to wild fans which often brought the house down. Included are “Boom Boom," "Hi Heel Sneakers," and their unreleased demo recording of The Stones "Empty Heart". This punctuates its garage rock beat, with a fuzz ing deep guitar riff and sing ing with the sinister resentment that certifies the track as Nuggets ready. But the band had much more to provide than just cover material. With a gift for writing hooks and catchy melodies a string of excellent originals exposes the hidden side of The D-Men perfectly. "Like I Love You" recaptures the Anglopop charms of the British Invasion, even self-consciously sprinkling Fab Four-isms. "Don't You Know," is a song laced with the organ and guitar interplay ideally suited to take on The Animals, The Searchers, and The Dave Clark Five. More Beatlesque notions are provided in "Love Could Show Me", "I Just Don’t Care" and "Don't You Know," tracks that typify the group's early Merseybeat style. A long lost punk rock gem such as "When I'm Gone" explodes with all the subtlety of The Kingsmen's "Long Green" mugging The Kinks' "Till The End Of The Day," as Paul Revere and The Raiders' "Just Like Me" gets ready to pounce. The outstanding “So Little Time”, earned meager attention beyond the regional market. In truth, it deserves a place among the great, if overlooked, slices of hard-edged East Coast folk rock. All these tracks make up a significant part of the group's legacy. A legacy that will only be complete with such recordings as "It's Cruel," the psychedelic "Night On Fire," and the explosive live recording of "I Wanna Shout". This collection has the flamable stuff of the mid 60s beat generation – it’s something the kids could shake it up to. If you didn’t do then, do it now! The disc features painstakingly remastered sound and a 4-page insert with rare photos from the band’s scrapbook and a detailed band history written by Joseph Tortelli LP $16 SKU:16045

TROYES-Love Comes, Love Dies: The Troyes Complete recordings (1966-68) ESSENTIAL MICHIGAN GARAGE PSYCH)-Label:LION Essential Michigan garage/psych! Propelled by their local chart-topper 'Rainbow Chaser,' Battle Creek quintet The Troyes entered the orbit of bandleader Ray Anthony (“Dragnet”, “Peter Gunn”), laying down a multitude of fuzztone laced tracks throughout 1966-1967 that, save for one 7” release on his Space Records label, remained unreleased on vinyl—until now. The Troyes exploded onto the music scene with 'Rainbow Chaser'. Sensing a new phenomenon, famed bandleader Ray Anthony signed the group to his new rock label Space Records. His faith in the band was so big that nearly two albums worth of material were recorded at United Sound (Detroit). Unfortunately, only two singles were issued. Far-out psychedelia, unhinged fuzz and farfisa garage, moody haunting sounds, face melters (check out 'Corn Flake')—it's all here. Rare photos, radio surveys, newspaper articles, Troyes memorabilia, and the story of a band that could have been big.

“Dare I say, even far better than the oft-lauded, collectible brigade of both reissued and unissued ‘60s LPs. The Bachs? The Dimensions? The Tempos? The Rising Storm? Public Nuisance? Sorry. This Troyes disc trumps them all.” —“Moptop” Mike Markesich, Ugly Things

"Had a Troyes LP come out in 1967, it would be well ensconced today as one of the Top 5 best from the era" —Ugly Things

"'Take 'Morning of the Rain' as a starting point: not satisfied with a ferociously twisted Dave Davies-aping "metal riff" they subject you to a blazing torrent of fuzztone and a growl of feedback topped with sinister Farfisa tones—a hundred Nuggets sets are woefully bereft of this unissued scorcher." —Shindig!

•"Essential? You bet." —Shindig!

•Masters meticulously prepared and cut for vinyl.

•Comes in deluxe tip-on jacket, including photos, newspaper articles, and the story of a band that could have been big. LP $29 SKU:19142
