LUCK OF EDEN HALL-THE END OF THE LANE(NEO PSYCH)Label: MEGA DODO BW /BLOWN TO KINGDOM COME Neo-psychedelic rock band The Luck Of Eden Hall has been a fixture on the Chicago music scene since the 1990s. The band's 'The End Of The Lane' pays tribute to the classic psych singles of yore, featuring lush guitars, plenty of echo on the vocals, the warm sound of the mellotron and a rhythm section with an uncanny gift for melodic fills. 'The End Of The Lane' is a song that was inspired by Neil Gaiman's book 'The Ocean At The End Of The Lane'. Mr. Gaiman himself created a drawing for the front cover of this single. PARAGONSABBA / BETTER MAN THAN I (1967)SAALE! Label:ALTERCAT Let me hear you say YEAH!!!".We’re proud to bring you the first official reissue of this essential 60s garage classic, after several bootlegs hitting the market in recent times and its appearance in countless compilations in the last 20 years. Done in cooperation with surviving band members Pat Walters and Danny Huntley. It didn’t appear in any national sales charts, but “Abba” by the Paragons is a smash hit record by any other measure. Ebullient, melodic, infectious, and eminently danceable, it’s impossible not to love. For DJs at sixties events worldwide, it’s a surefire crowd pleaser. Bands continue to cover it onstage and on record, including the Satelliters, the Cynics, and most recently the Rosalyns. Record collectors fight tooth and nail to get their hands on the original 45. As an exemplar of pure joyous American teenage garage bliss, it’s pretty much unsurpassed.Mike Stax (Ugly Things magazine)• First official reissue of 60s garage anthem. • 12-page booklet with the band's story by Mike Stax (Ugly Things magazine) and previously unseen pictures. • Sound remastered by Tim Warren (Crypt Records / Back From The Grave) 45 RPM $15 SKU:24018

SIMIAN LIFE-Another Way Down(Rob Campanella) Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Largely inspired by the lush, semi-orchestral soundtrack work from late ‘60s and early ‘70s Europe, this track layers a repeated string theme and solos by sitar and saxophone over a driving, rock backbeat. n making “Another Way Down,” the brothers Campanella were joined by Misha Bullock on drums and vocals along with Gabriel Lazar on piano. In producing the track, they were inspired by the studio wizardry and experimentation that came out of the latter half of the 1960s, much as it did with Revolver-era Beatles. For example, a Roland Space Echo tape delay and ADT (Artificial Double-Tracking) were applied to the vocals for an otherworldly vibe. Additionally, they used a recording technique known as varispeed on the guitar solo, which was purposely recorded at half-speed and an octave lower, thus giving it a frantic effect when sped up to song’s actual tempo. The flip side, “Briefing,” is an excerpt from a forthcoming Simian Life song that took on a life of its own. On it, Matt Cooker provided the cello, Isabel Escalante the violin, Garret Wayne Walters the saxophone, and Rishi Dhir of Elephant Stone the sublime sitar. 45 RPM $9 SKU:24068

Four lovely re-tellings of classic songs from the sixties. Chad & Jeremy give us a stunning, unplugged version of their own 'Rest In Peace', originally from their wonderful '60s album 'Of Cabbages And Kings', perfectly executed, it really is as if the last 50 years never happened, never mind 40. Fruits de Mer's first-ever band, Schizo Fun Addict, show delicacy of touch that you might not have anticipated with a new take on the Mamas and Papas classic 'Dedicated To The One I Love'. Hanford Flyover are a new band for FdM but they come up with a fantastic version of the criminally-overlooked band Neon Pearl's 'Just Another Day' and Scandinavian duo Us and Them round things off with a typically wistful rendition of the Neil Young track 'What Have You Done To My Life?'. Sleeve artwork is by John Hurford. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21704

MONSTER MAGNET- A BETTER DYSTOPIA (psych/proto metal) Label:NAPALM Take a trip inside the mind of psychedelic rock legend Dave Wyndorf with Monster Magnet's 'A Better Dystopia' - a delightfully psychotic selection of proto-metal and late-era psych songs that fit the band like a glove! With wonderfully obscure song choices and excellent sequencing, the mighty Magnet pay homage to some of their favorite songs of all time, crafting another exciting and unique listening experience alike what they've become famous for. While the album marks a new frontier for Monster Magnet as their first covers record, this is not your typical set of standards released to pass time. Wyndorf is at the top of his game on 'A Better Dystopia' - howling, crooning, speaking... whatever it takes to get the emotional message of these very special tunes across, delivering each lyric in his own inimitable style. TRACKS: 01. The Diamond Mine 02. Born To Go 03. Epitaph For A Head 04. Solid Gold Hell 05. Be Forewarned 06. Mr. Destroyer 07. When The Wolf Sits 08. Death 09. Situation 10. It's Trash 11. MUSTANGS - And That’s for Sure- Riverside 60s garage legends Label:UGLY THINGS Full-color 16-page booklet packed with rare photos of the band, plus full liner notes by Mike Stax ) Two minutes and five seconds of tough fuzz, stomp and bad attitude, the Mustangs' 1965 single "That's For Sure" is considered one of the Holy Grails of '60s garage rock. That one, hopelessly rare 45 would be their only release. However, in January 1966 the Mustangs went into Locy Sound in Riverside, California, where they recorded 14 more songs, demonstrating not only their dynamism and versatility as a live cover band, but also their remarkable talent for original material, from wailing rockers to haunting Beatlesque ballads. Those tracks are presented here for the first time, along with "That's For Sure" and its grooving instrumental flipside "Nova Blues." This CD only release includes a full-color 16-page booklet packed with rare photos of the band, plus full liner notes by Mike Stax. CD $10 SKU:23590

DASZU-Zone of Swans/Lucid Actual + 1/2 Dativa(underground post-punk 79-83)- SAALE Label:LION with 8 page insert booklet.
Unlike earlier Daszu music, Lucid Actual 2000 was digitally constructed and edited from recordings and generated loops for use in live interactive 3D performances: many of them were performed at a Digital Electronics Festival in Montreal in 1999. The introduction of a visual element into the mathematical minimalist world of Daszu composer Mark Rudolph allowed for a more ambient, repetitive, suggestive—and danceable—style.

These pieces were composed by Daszu creative mastermind Mark Rudolph via listening to combinatoric loops with an occasional long melody or vocal line spinning over time. Their style is described by Rudolph as 'hypno'—"an attempt to free the mind from its material neighborhood and make possible a better future based on mutual respect and kindness, despite the fact that our home is not here in life."

It is life-affirming, energetic music—particularly the *Enticement sequence of 'Butterfly Close to Me,' 'Kanushnaya Sweet,' 'Oo Eh' and its inverse 'Hey Suni'—music for a joyous club life that may or may not exist or have ever existed—or which perhaps may be encouraged into existence by experiencing this music. LP $18 SKU:22093

Ertlif was formed in 1970 by two ex–members of Egg & Bacon, lead guitarist Dany Andrey and bass player Teddy Riedo. They were inspired by Pink Floyd, Yes, Procol Harum, Van der Graaf Generator and Genesis amongst others. A strong rhythm section and twin lead guitars blended with the Hammond organ created the characteristic Ertlif sound. Riedo and Beni Hauri (the band’s roadie) had been experimenting with oscillators, noise generators, ring modulators and other devices since 1969. In early 1972 they introduced these electronic sounds into the band’s closing number 'Classical Woman' so becoming pioneers of electronic music in Switzerland. MADERA DE CIPRES -Lejos de Aquí / Solo Sin Tí ( rarest Spanish hard-psych 45 ever.)Label:AHCID Exact repro (including original labels) of the rarest Spanish hard-psych 45 ever. Originally released on the tiny Artyphon label in 1972, it was only sold by the band at their shows, no copies were distributed or sold in any shop at the time.

Since its B-side "Solo sin ti" was compiled on the first volume of Andergraun Vibrations (erroneusly credited as "Lejos de aqui"), the legend of Madera de Cipres kept growing and growing . Nothing was known about the band until we finally tracked them down.
This reissue is done with the approval of the band members.Primitive psychedelic hard-rock at its best. Limited to 315 hand-numbered copies. Colour insert with rare pictures including the alternate, never used, front cover. Includes a reproduction of a rare promo postcard. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21142

MAGIC SHOPPE - Doppelganger (60s style Byrds influenced)- Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Coincidentally yet appropriately labeling their reverb-heavy sound as “hypnotic,” Magic Shoppe’s single for Hypnotic Bridge leads off with A-side “Doppelgänger,” a song originally titled “Salventius” after the Dutch artist known for his “single-line” drawings of faces. Shelved from an earlier project, the name “Doppelgänger” was actually suggested by Salventius, given it’s a sort of “double” for the original concept for the song. Songwriter and lead guitarist Josiah Webb used three fuzz pedals (with a “fully cocked wah” at the end) with tones turned to pure treble for the fuzz. The ending riff is a nod to Roger McGuinn: highly compressed, clean and with maximum treble, creating a tone that evokes The Byrds’ “Eight Miles High.”

Not a reference to San Francisco’s airport but, rather, an acronym for “Skintight Futuristic Outfit,” “S.F.O.” was conceived and tracked in a single session. The band originally intended to play the song quickly, then reverse it completely, possibly adding forward overdubs, but after hearing the results decided to give it more of a “split-brain” dynamic. The first part of the song is played normally, but after some intentional audio degradation (and Vox Cheetah/Fender Twin amp feedback), descends into a total reverse copy of the beginning, with the exception of a forwards vocal overdub. 45 RPM $10 SKU:22188

MANIACS - I Dont Wanna Go to Work 1977 punk!) - Green vinyl ltd to 350 Label:NDN On 7-inch vinyl come two previously unreleased killer cuts from the legendary, short lived UK punk band, best known for the classic single 'Chelsea 77'. The loud and snotty 'I Don't Wanna Go To Work' was recorded in 1977 to feature in a short punk rock film called 'Punk Kebab'. This truly is an unearthed punk nugget! On the flip we get a cool live recording of 'White Light/White Heat', The Maniacs' take on the famous Velvet Underground-song. It dates back to 1976, when Alan Lee Shaws (guitar, vocals) was heavily influenced by the simple, stripped down in-your-face rock and roll of the MC5, Stooges, New York Dolls and Velvet Underground. 45 RPM $12 SKU:24968

MANKEY, EARL- - Mau Mau /Crazy orig 1978 pressing! w pic slv.Label:BOMP/Exhibit J (Orig pressing of BOMP spinoff label, Exhibit J) rare by legendary producer “ In this one short song, there is enough pure-pop majesty to fill your week's quota of such grand music. Earle Mankey was a founding member of the odd new-wave 80's band, Sparks. Mankey has some serious production credits to his name too, including Concrete Blonde's first album.
"Mau Mau" begins with a jungle drum beat and a chorus of low voiced fellows singing "Ugachukka, ugachukka" over and over again. The song makes an abrupt left turn when Mankey begins singing about an African "...who can take his love any way he can, by the point of spear, by the point of knife" in his distant pop voice over a tinkley synth sound. Mankey builds layer upon layer in the chorus, with guitars ultimately building to a "Baba O'Rielly" guitar riff. You don't find sublime pop-rock like this everyday, but when you do, it's quite a treat. -- Doug Cornell, 45 RPM $5 SKU:25177

MARK & THE CLOUDS-You And Me In Space” b/w “Clocks-Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Psych pop for the 21st Century, “You And Me In Space” takes us on a cosmic trip to the edge of the galaxy, fueled by love and a blissed-out dissolution of all that keeps us from soaring beyond our everyday confines. Recorded in an industrial estate in North London, the band set the scene by filling the room with multi-colored lights before deploying a full range of vintage equipment and psychedelic effects: backwards Telecaster through a Big Muff pedal, Hofner bass, space-age organ and even high-pitched, fuzzed-out vibrations made by blowing through blades of grass. Recorded during the “Waves” album sessions and selected specifically as an exclusive song for the Hypnotic Bridge 45, “Clocks” is dedicated to those who love the sound of the wah-wah guitar in its most psychedelic setting. Drummer Shin Okajima’s dramatic drum on the intro was inspired by the style and sound of the traditional Japanese Wadaiko. 45 RPM $10 SKU:24910

PERMANENT GREEN LIGHT - Enormous Highs (psych tinged power pop)Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Michael Quercio, Matt Devine, and Chris Bruckner have reunited to bring the Permanent Green Light sound into the third millennium. After the release of the band’s 2018 Omnivore Recordings retrospective and well-attended reunion shows in Los Angeles, the band began work on new material. Once extensive rehearsals and study of texts prescribed by Bruckner were complete, the band entered the studio in early 2020 with Earle Mankey, the legendary producer who recorded PGL’s cult classic Against Nature, as well as celebrated psychedelic records by Quercio’s Paisley Underground band The Three O’Clock (Sixteen Tambourines and Baroque Hoedown). “Enormous Highs” b/w “Silver Girl” on Hypnotic Bridge Records is the first release debuting songs from PGL’s work in progress on an envisioned concept record currently underway.

Originally born out of the Los Angeles Jabberjaw coffeehouse scene in 1991, Permanent Green Light’s psychedelic pop sound soon found itself at the top of Rodney Bingenheimer’s playlists and sharing bills with Redd Kross, Teenage Fanclub, and The Muffs. By the time of PGL’s dissolution in 1994, the band had released records that may have fallen out of print but were never forgotten by devoted fans, including the Against Nature LP and contributions to compilations such as Freedom Of Choice: Yesterday's New Wave Hits As Performed By Today's Stars. Fast forward to 2018 when premier US reissue label Omnivore Recordings released the band's retrospective Hallucinations, with Ugly Things magazine declaring Permanent Green Light as “the unsung power pop greats of the decade… what every band on Creation should’ve sounded like.” 45 RPM $10 SKU:24419

PREMONITIONS-Some Strange Lust (Elevators and LSD) -Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE ” b/w “Once In A Blue Moon We wanted to make a solid A-side that represents our sound and what we go for, but let us be honest here: “Some Strange Lust” is about dropping LSD—the romance of it and the lust for the feelings it brings. You might notice we threw on a bit of electric jug in tribute to The Elevators.

On the B-side, we left ourselves even more room to explore, which is a formula we’ve been using for the last few singles. “One In A Blue Moon” is about a dream, and we had all had part in writing the different sections. The second section, which features Veronica Bianqui, came to me as I was drifting off to sleep and woke me right up as I knew I had to write it down. The next section Jesse wrote, and so on. We used many instruments to bring a full, orchestrated, psychedelic feel, including autoharp, ring modulator, Marxophone, harpsichord and other things we've never used before. The song was a blast to make and we're super stoked with how it came out.Singles are pressed on 7-inch, 45 rpm vinyl records. 45 RPM $10 SKU:24906

RESONARS- Gold To Blue &Little Grey MenLabel:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE b/w “Bold Marauder” Immersed in the rural pop-psych glory of Younger Than Yesterday-era Byrds, the irrepressible “Gold To Blue” proves the time between 1967 and 2021 is but the blink of a blissed-out eye. With a soaring power pop intensity that belies its dark, eponymous topic, “Little Grey Men” chronicles an era in which we are constantly observed and analyzed—an anthem for our time that challenges the corrupt cabal who cling to power, envying and fearing the smartness and vitality of the young. An epic enigma of arcane imagery since it was first released in 1965, Richard Fariña’s timeless folk-rock classic, “Bold Marauder” has been covered by musicians as diverse as John Kay and Kendra Smith. The Resonars bring an unparalleled potency to the song, amplifying the feverish fervor of the lyrics with a psychedelic, guitar-driven assault that conjures up Blue Cheer launching an acid-folk crusade.Singles are pressed on 7-inch, 45 rpm vinyl records. 45 RPM $10 SKU:24729

REVERBERATIONS -Milder High (Beatles style pop psych) Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Inspired by a fictional psychedelic experience (with all the exciting highs and mellow lows), “Milder Higher” marks a new, more complex direction in The Reverberations’ sound. With interesting time changes, Leslie vocals and a reversed lead fuzz guitar, the song brings to mind bands such as The Beatles and The Peanut Butter Conspiracy.Like the A-side, “Sunshine” was recorded in early 2019 by the legendary Matt Rendon at Midtown Island Studios in Tucson and recorded to 8-track tape for a classic approach and feeling, with backing vocals done as three-part harmonies around a single microphone. The recent addition of keyboards to The Reverberations’ lineup brings an essential psychedelic element to the song, and the band. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21780

The timeless essence of West Coast psychedelia is encapsulated in the lovely groove of “Just Like You,” which blossoms in the mind like memories of sunny summer afternoons spent lazing on paisley picnic blankets. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21477

MORAZ, PATRICK- Out in the Sun(MOODY BLUES)Label:ESOTERIC Swiss born Patrick Moraz is probably best known in rock music circles for his membership of two of the world’s biggest rock bands, Yes and the Moody Blues. He was also been a member of the progressive rock band Mainhorse, forming the band with bassist Jean Ristori in 1969 and releasing one self titled album in 1970. By the time of the release of Moraz’s debut solo album in early 1976, he was firmly installed as the keyboard player in Yes. Following the release of Relayer all the members of Yes embarked on solo projects thus ensuring that his “The Story Of I” received maximum coverage in the music press. He then released his second solo album in 1977 (“Out In The Sun”) before joining the Moody Blues. As can be deduced from the title the second disc on offer here is a pairing of the first two Future Memories releases gathered together on one release. As with all the albums in the Patrick Moraz reissue campaign, this album has been re mastered for release by Moraz himself from the original master tapes. (Time Wave) CD $10 SKU:19062

MOTHERS ANGER-ST -(SEATTLE PSYCH) PROD BY MICHAEL DAVIS MC5-Label:DIONYSUS The Mother's Anger is a two-piece psychedelic punk band from Seattle, WA that incorporates Middle-Eastern melodies and Drum n' Bass rhythms into a heavy, danceable, dream-like adventure
The Mothers Anger is a two-piece band from Israel that sounds like a five piece band from Detroit. Could this be because the debut full length by Drummer/Vocalist Jimi and Guitarist/Vocalist Stitch was produced by bassist Michael Davis of legendary Detroit rockers The MC5? You read that right, a two piece band in which the guitarist tunes a few strings to play the bass and guitar parts simultaneously, enters the studio with a producer who happens to be a famous bass player (and also plays on a track!). CD $3 SKU:19778

MOUNT CARMEL - GET PURE Digipack (for Radio Moscow fans! ) - Label:ALIVE Amid the current industry of cool, Mount Carmel’s lack of gimmick is a welcome anachronism. The trio’s third album “Get Pure” is full of swagger, packed with great songs and inspired performances. This is true rock music like you haven’t heard in years. Crank it up!
Mount Carmel reeks of surging guitar riffs and thunderous backbeats. They’re a power trio in the truest sense of the term and certainly nowhere near as anonymous as their cover art would have you believe. As you may have guessed, this is an album for the heavy blues guitar freaks. – 194 CD $10 SKU:15855

MOUNT MCKINLEYS - PORTRAIT OF A MINDBENDER Spacey psych garage)Label:GET HIP Recorded at Easley Studios in Memphis, they’ve broadened their basic garage sound a bit to include theremin, organ and a horn section. The band’s new, more eclectic sound does little to diminish their garage attack, as their fierce cover of the Count Five’s “Peace of Mind” will attest. Mix several stunning originals like “Think Twice” and “Outside In” with horn-driven instrumentals and some spacey psychedelic sounds and you have Stacked Up (And Get It!). CD $10 SKU:22182

MOUNTAIN - Live At The Capitol Theater 1973 (blues hard rock) -Label:VOICEPRINT This King Biscuit Flower Hour concert was recorded in late 1973 at the Capitol Theatre in Passaic, New Jersey. By this point, the band had been through many of the cliche rock band phases: the breakup, the side-projects, a reunion with new members. The short version of the story is that the band split up, and Leslie and Corky hooked up with former Cream bassist/vocalist Jack Bruce to form the supergroup West, Bruce and Laing, with whom they put out a number of albums. Mountain later reunited, but during '73, the band went on a Japanese tour without Laing, because of an alleged dispute between him and Pappalardi. CD $12 SKU:19516

MOUNTAIN BUS-SUNDANCE (70S GRATEFUL DEAD STYLE)Label:GEAR FAB The Grateful Dead sounding band that was sued by Windfall Music and Columbia Records for using the name "Mountain", although they actually had been together for 4 years before Mountain was officially formed!! Their classic "Sundance" LP from 1971 plus unreleased live and studio material off the Master Tapes from this Chicago band- A total of 13 songs and 70 minutes of music. Don't bother with the French bootleg, the original pressing was poorly done and nothing the piraters did have helped the quality!! CD $10 SKU:18654

MOURNING PHASE ST (RARE 1971)Label:SEELIE COURT 380 copy limited edition first pressings in mini card gatefold sleeves, from Glass Masters (not cdrs)

CD $12 SKU:22331

MYLLA -VANJA (ultimate psychedelic party-band 70s sytle )-Label:SUBLIMINAL SOUNDS Mylla came into fruitation at the now legendary illicit club/speakesy BZ in a Stockholm cellar. Mylla is the ultimate psychedelic party-band for the loosely knitted family of musicians centered around the Subliminal Sounds label (like Dungen, The Works, Life on Earth! and St. Mikael and many other Swedish psychsters). Were happy to finally be releasing their debut album "Vanya". The album was recorded in a limestone cottage at a secluded island far out in the Baltic Sea known by sailors for centuries as the "White Hawaii". The island Faro has been closed for all foreigners up until a few years as it contains several top secret army bases. The music is steeped in the Swedish 70s "Progg" tradition. Like Dungen the band sings in Swedish but unlike Dungen the Mylla experience might only be for the natives, but at least its no longer forbidden for anyone to try it out. Gustav Ejstes from Dungen turns up as a guest with his fiddle too. CD $10 SKU:20023

MYSTIC EYES-OUR TIME TO LEAVE! (primal ‘60s garage rock sound.)Label:GET HIP 4 bonus tracks. If ever there was a band that could do justice to a ‘60s folk-rock chestnuts like “Clam Me Down,” it’s the Mystic Eyes. And on this LP, they prove it yet again. “Clam Me Down” is not only faithful to the original in form and delivery, but also recreates the feel of the primal ‘60s garage rock sound. But as good as their take on the Human Expression hit is, it doesn’t compare to the absolutely breathtaking originals that they churn out on this LP. 14 songs in all including a couple choice covers. CD $10 SKU:21822

MYSTIC EYES-Whole World is Watching (primal ‘60s garage rock sound.)Label:GET HIP While each song on Watching is a polished gem, special mention must be given to a few. “Reality Is No Friend of Mine” is an ominous psychedelic pounder, and “So Far Away From Here” is only slightly less intense. While the whole album fits loosely into a modernized folk/rock genre, “I Can’t Wait to Love You” pays loving tribute to the Phil Spector/Jan & Dean sound. CD $10 SKU:22755

NAHUATL - ST Vol 1 ( stunning 1971 nMexican HEAVY PSYCH ROCK )-Label:DENVER Reissue of stunning Mexican HEAVY PSYCH ROCK piece from 1971. Great heavy FUZZ leads all over with some backward guitars and other effects. Remastered for CD. CD $10 SKU:22016

CROOKED OAK -From Little Acorns Grow (70s folk)-Label:SEELIE COURT Crooked Oak is one of the very few folk bands who imbued their songs with mystery, power and grandeur. The combination of Steve Evans’ sonorous voice and haunting Irish pipes convert the songs into a beautiful mystical experience. It might compare to the stunning ‘Wild and Beautiful’ by Silly Wizard, with that same captivating majesty of form. Very rare, the late great record dealer and collector Walter Geertsen, one of the founding dealers who helped shape the progressive rock market, considered this LP as one of his personal favourites, alongside COB "Moyshe Mc Stiff" and John St Field “Control." Very different LPs, but all with moments of aching, dark melancholia. So to describe Crooked Oak as ‘acid folk’ would be misleading, instead it is a deep, profound and beautiful work of art, lifted by superb vocals and wrapped in a sense of mystery. The band channel the music, tradition, heritage, and the magic that still courses through Sainted Albion’s blood soaked lands. In that sense it sits alongside Spriguns of Tolgus and Stone Angel as one of the most beautiful folk albums of all time. Steve Evans, the main force, died after living in Africa a few years ago. Issued with permission of Steve Evans widow. Quite traditional folk, but magically so. LP $35 SKU:24681

DEL-TOROS -TEN STORIES HIGH (Dutch alternative surf rockers) SAALE!Label:DOWN AT THE NIGHTCLUB On 'Ten Stories High', Dutch alternative surf rockers Del-Toros once again unleash an exciting mixture of desert-, surf-, punk- and hardrock. But they changed the game big time as their instrumental side has completely taken over. The Del-Toros drift off into strange tangets and wave their freak flag into a fuzzy and reverb sheer sonic perfection. There is only one song on the album with vocals. Peter te Bos, singer of the famous Dutch garagerock band Claw Boys Claw is taking 'Rockettool' to a higher level like if Jim Morrison and William S. Burroughs joined forces. Bertus Borgers features on '2174'. Produced by Peter van Elderen and Guido Bruin, 'Ten Stories High' features 10 blistering and heavy songs that combine all their influences. The album comes in a gatefold cover, limited to 500 copies. LP $22 SKU:23259

DETONATIONS-Static Vision (Raw Power-era Stooges style!) LAST COPIES Label:ALIVE LAT COPIES will not be repressed. Color vinyl. A three piece rock-n-roll time bomb from New Orleans with a unique freaked-out sound. “Now THIS is what's been lost in the age of CD: rocking out and then getting out before one's welcome has been royally outstayed. Detonations have the same laudably single minded approach as Raw Power-era Stooges, paring everything down to pure driven riff.” - Shindig. “Sneered vocals, clunky rhythms and buzzsaw guitar riffs, all stripped of any non-essentials like harmony vocals and solos that consist of more than the song's main riff played louder.” – AMG LP $10 SKU:22946

DEUTER - D (German cosmic psych 1970) Label:MISSING VINYL We say: ““A wonderfully entertaining exploration of drones, swells, rhythms, and melodies. Deuter was clearly a student of Indian ragas, but he took that influence and mixed it with drug-tinged psychedelia and synthesizers to create a vibrant new hybrid. If you're into kraut-rock, world music, ambient, and/or psychedelia, you need to get this album. Also highly recommended to fans of Acid Mothers Temple and the new psychedelia...” Deuter was a product of both East and West. Eckart Rahn, a young record producer at that time, recognized Deuter's talents, and in 1971 released his first recording, “D,” on the then fledgling Kuckuck label (not, we hasten to mention, in any way a “new age” album). Deuter began to go into the mountains to record birds, water and wind to accompany his music; he also began spending much of his time at an ashram in Poona, India. Deuter was also one of the first artists to blend that Eastern influence into his music. Yet he did that blending in such a gentle fashion that it never jarred Western ears, unaccustomed to Eastern rhythms and tonalities. The terrific “D” album is an all solo affair recorded via multi-tracked guitars, electronics, percussion, flutes, and so on, in what looks to be Deuter’s bed-room; very psychedelic processing, at times an almost ADII-like heaviness mixing with more Popol Vuh-ish mystical spaciousness. Perfectly crafted headspace and always a pleasure to absorb, this is one of the finest and most unheralded albums of the early 1970s German scene. An all-time favorite.” label says: “Deuter was one of the earliest multi-instrumental soloists in Germany. He is considered to be one of the pioneers of New Age music and is still active, having released more than 40 albums. D, his first album, was released on the legendary Kuckuck label in 1971 and is considered to be a classic. With guitars, sitar, organ, harmonium, Asian and Oriental percussives, etc., it is a mixture of psychedelic underground rock, cosmic music and ethnic fusion, at places similar to Amon Düül 2, Between and Popol Vuh. Limited edition, deluxe 180g vinyl, exact reproduction of the original first pressing LP $26 SKU:21068
