The indie record biz continues to sink/plummet into the abyss, as the plants become more and more occupied with not just Adele, but Taylor Swift pressings, yay!! So all of our planned releases (and everybody elses) are being pushed back and back and back, and restocks of our hottest sellers wont be coming any time soon. This is true of every label in America, so new arrivals will be few and far between. It’s at least a year between ordering and receiving vinyl, and that is if they were TAKING new orders, which they aren’t!

As our albums sell out no more will be coming soon, maybe never. This particularly applies to the STARBURST pressings, as the plant that makes those is gone for good and nobody else can replicate the process. Check them out here, gorgeous vinyl! Soon to be just a memory.

Their sole album originally appeared in May 1970, and is widely regarded as one of the best underground hard rock records of the era. Del Val Records present a reissue of Tryad's 'If Only You Believe In Lovin'', originally released in 1971 as a private press. Ultra-deluxe LP reissue on the recently resurrected (and sadly now defunct) Del Val label, the obscure but legendary label previously responsible for early and collectible vinyl editions by The Brigade, The Bachs, Bent Wind, D.R. Hooker, Fifty Foot Hose, etc. Long overdue and much delayed reissue of this NYC private press few have heard and less have seen. Comparable to the best UK folk-fusion LPs of the era, this is like a Yankee version of Hunter Muskett's great 'Every Time You Move' (1970), with co-ed vocals plus bass/drums/pedal steel/flute/keys accompaniment. Consider this East Coast haunted not West Coast hip, though you'll be reminded of a certain revered private from out there that wouldn't exist for another five years: Relatively Clean Rivers. UP - Killer Up! 10” SEALED Label:Total Energy The Up is one of those "should've been" bands. Similar in sound to Blue Cheer and political philosophy to MC5, Killer Up represents the complete recordings of the Detroit band from the '60s. Save for two singles, none of this material was released by the band while it was still together between 1967-1973. The Up was closely aligned with MC5, living with them in the White Panther Party commune in Ann Arbor and often sharing the bill with them at area concerts. But while the Five and fellow Michiganders the Stooges got record deals and fame, Up remained a regional act.The disc features both of Up's singles, plus several songs from a recording session at Head Sound Studios in Ypsilanti, MI, and some live cuts recorded at the Agora Ballroom in Columbus, OH, in 1972.High volume cuts like "Just Like an Aborigine" and "Free John Now" are further examples to back up the argument that punk rock was invented in '60s Detroit. It's hard to imagine Up gaining a mass audience, but the music on this disc makes one wonder why the band never broke on a large scale outside of the Midwest. STEVE BROWN BAND- Soul Full of Sin (70s cool jazz)-Label:SEELIE COURT Steve brown formed this outfit in 1971, and they quickly developed a tight style of cool but potent jazz rock, characterised by lengthy powerful instrumental breaks and sax, and infectious beats. This LP pieces together what should have been a debut record on Transatlantic from remaining studio tapes and acetate sources. The six tracks are pure killer, opening with ‘Hitman’ which is sung first person from the point of view of an assassin for hire; stone cold cool with a fantastic bass-line and rhythm it conjurs up early seventies nihilistic film and tv imagery. The side ends with a genuine lost anthem in ‘Shine A Light,’ epic and melancholic. The lyrics are fab, and have a worldly wise quality about them. One of the greatest bands no one has heard of, hereby rescued from slipping into the ether, despite once being on the verge of a deal with Transatlantic and garnering a massive live following in their native Newcastle area during the early to mid seventies. A completely pro band, with brilliant songs, and a unique style. In 1970 they released their sole album for the Roulette label: a perfect example of the transition from psychedelia to hard-rock and early progressive sounds. In early 1977 their mighty sound and singular style were the big-bang igniting the L.A. punk rock scene, as they proclaimed "we're not punks, we're weirdos from Hollyweird!". This wasn't just goofy sloganeering, this was a stance intended to distinguish them from the burgeoning punk rock scenes in New York and London. The Weirdos were not only bringing a new sound and writing teen punks anthems, they were also responsible for their graphics (posters, covers, flyers) and designed their own clothes!
