SUCK - Time to Suck ( 1970 South African hard rock ) Label:FRESH The loudest, most controversial and obnoxious revolutionary fist-in-your-face rock album not to come out of Detroit! An album (Parlophone, 1970) that is all howling feedback guitars, explosive drumming, and muscular vocal antics‹and why not, as the album includes cover versions of songs by Black Sabbath, Grand Funk, plus a slow-burn 'Season of the Witch' that would spook Donovan, and the most schizoid '21st Century Schizoid Man' imaginable; the band rampaged through conservative South Africa for almost one year, then split; original album plus an EMI compilation track as a bonus; liner notes and photos tell the whole story of Suck. CD $15 SKU:20063

SUN DIAL-MADE IN THE MACHINE(psych)Label:SULATRON Made In The Machine' is a follow up of sorts of 'Mind Control' as it explores the same themes. This 2016 release by the the UK's neo-psych veterans delves even deeper into the surrealistic worlds of sci-fi and space rock, including hints of early kraut and dark psych music. However, it still retains the classic elements of the well known Sun Dial sound which is mainly due to Gary Ramon's guitar work and the band's psychedelic trademark. The vinyl edition is limited to 500 copies. CD $12 SKU:18226

SUN DIAL-Acid Yantra (psych)Label:ACME Reissue of the bands' most successful and critically acclaimed album, from 1995 (originally on Beggars Banquet); a blast from start to finish, as Ramon's guitar playing recalls Dave Gilmour, Eddie Hazell, Ron Asheton, James Williamson among others. SUNFOREST-The Sound of(UK Acid folk‘69) 20-page booklet with additional insider information on the band, & lyrics-Label:ACME LION There was once a band called Sunforest, who recorded a splendid album in 1969. The record is (as has been said elsewhere) a unique compendium of UK acid folk with a popsike feel, sporting harpsichord and (somewhat) medieval-tinged arrangements integrated into electric and acoustic folk-esque tunes. But one thing must be said straight away: the Sunforest album is not at all twee—the songs are far too clever, and the production (by legendary producer Vic Coppersmith-Heaven) has far too much depth—we say this despite cover art that seems to have misled people since the album was released. Worthy of special mention is the phenomenal folk/funk vibe-fest 'Magician In The Mountain,' which has made this LP the object of desire of many a DJ and a sampler. And, of course, lest we forget, the Sunforest album supplies the answer to the recent burning question (for those of you living in the UK): “What’s that song on the Marks and Spencer TV advert—the one with Twiggy and those other girls in it, singing, "I want to marry a lighthouse keeper.” Why, it’s ‘Lighthouse Keeper,’ of course! The sound of Sunforest was enlivened by contributions from exceptional and experienced studio musicians. On this album, you can hear supple work from bass guitarist par excellance Herbie Flowers (it’s his bass that makes Lou Reed's ‘Walk on the Wild Side’ one of the best late-night songs ever written; he also played bass on the Serge Gainsbourg’s “Histoire de Melody Nelson”). He was joined for the Sunforest sessions by his compatriot in the Jean-Claude Vannier Orchestra, guitarist on an incredible variety of UK number one hit songs (fifty-nine to be exact), including the Kink’s “You Really Got Me,” Thunderclap Newman’s "Something in the Air,’ and Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg’s orgasmic classic ‘Je t'aime... moi non plus’: session-guitarist extraordinaire (and the mastermind behind the Lord Sitar and “Sitar Beat” albums), Big Jim Sullivan. Yes, here on the Sunforest album these two titans of UK rock can be found working with another legend, Vic Smith, on what turned out to be the only release from a trio of unpretentious girls, discovered in a cafe. Ah, the wondrous 1960’s! Includes a 20-page booklet with additional insider information on the band, as well as lyrics. Licensed from Decca/Universal, UK. CD $10 SKU:8390

SUZY & LOS QUATTRO-Faster & Louder! Label:ROCK INDIANA With its title taken from the classic Dictators song, the fourth album by Suzy & Los Quattro is 'Faster And Louder' indeed. Featuring catchy tunes and killer riffs, this is the band's strongest release to date. CD $12 SKU:18588

SWAMP DOGG - Rat On! digipack- Label:ALIVE Digipack cd RAT ON!” (1971), was ranked as having one of the top ten worst album covers of all time, an achievement that Swamp Dogg is rightfully proud of. Vocally, Swamp Dogg sounds like a cross between General Johnson (of Chairmen of the Board) and Van Morrison; as a songwriter, he’s his own man. With the exception of Sly Stone, no other soul men of the period were investigating controversial topics with such infectious musicality and good humor. – AMG CD $10 SKU:15001

SWAMP DOGG - 4 CD BUNDLE Rat On, Gag A Maggot, Total Destruction . White Man made me do it digipacks. - Label:ALIVE CD $35 SKU:15203

SWELL MAPS- Sweep the Desert-Label:ALIVE Like International Rescue, Sweep the Desert keeps the memory of Swell Maps alive. While the material gathered here might not be fully representative of the band's sound, it does an excellent job of underscoring Swell Maps' significance alongside such illustrious contemporaries as the Pop Group, the Fall and PiL. - Pop Matters CD $10 SKU:4671

SYSTEMADDICTS -BROKEN HEARTED ON THE NULLABOR-Label:OFF THE HIP Systemaddicts are a fun, energetic six piece garage punk group from Adelaide, South Australia. They were formed by original members Liam Convey, guitarist, singer and songwriter and his bass guitarist sister Kaeli when they were still teenagers. They were joined by Jamie Woolaway on organ, Frank Boulden on drums, later replaced by current drummer Elliot Hoskin, their younger brother Rory, on Trombone (who was only 16 at the time), and Tasman Strachan on second guitar. Their style originally was a blend of the hardcore punk that Liam had been doing in his previous teenaged group The Subtitles, with the more sixties influenced keyboard style Jamie was playing with The Molting Vultures.

The Systemaddicts are huge fans of 60s era groups such as The Sonics and The Loved Ones and are also big fans of 70s/80s groups like Magazine, Radio Birdman, The Birthday Party, and The Sunnyboys. Liam Convey draws upon these influences and more when he composes the original tunes the group plays, featuring honest lyrics reflecting the contemporary Australian experience. CD $8 SKU:18017

T MODEL FORD- The Ladies Man - Label:ALIVE T-Model's 80-something years old... his Mississippi Driver's License says he's 84, his US Passport says he's 87, and he says he's 88... so you decide. He started playing guitar based on Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf, but T's only got one style: his own. T's illiterate, so no use in talking to him about tuning. They call it "open T" because it's his own unique sound. "The Ladies Man" is T-Model Ford's seventh album, and what makes it unique is that it's entirely acoustic. Recorded at Planet Sound Studios in Wichita, Kansas, the album is the product of a live, one-take afternoon session with no overdubs and minimal mixing. T wanted to play acoustic guitar and have 100% control over the record and everyone involved in the project agreed he should do it the way he wanted. The result is pure T Model, with some newer young musician-friends playing along with him. "I'm a ladies man. The ladies follow me everywhere. Some folks don't like white folks. I like the white folks, they helped make me famous and I've made money. The white folks appreciate the blues, they appreciate T-Model. I love white folks." - T-Model Ford CD $5 SKU:11093

TELEGRAPH AVENUE - ST (Peruvian 70s psych rock) -Label:RE-PSYCHLED Telegraph Avenue’s debut album appeared on the market in Peru, and became the best selling rock record of the year. The time was right for Latin rock with psychedelic touches (a fact evident all over the Americas), and Telegraph Avenue delivered: guitars saturate the amplifiers, using natural distortion and feedbacks, with Latin bass lines, powerful drums and Latin flavored percussions filling all songs with the uniqueness of their sound. Their songs sometimes sound like Grand Funk’s early records, but others have vocal melodies more akin to a West Coast psych style. Now, 35-years later, Repsychled Records has the pleasure to present the definitive reissue of this album; this reissue is the first done using the original master tapes, and was remastered with tube amplifiers; it includes the original artwork in a gatefold mini-LP format, a booklet with unseen photos and souvenirs from the band’s concerts, an extra insert with band biography, and an unreleased song. Limited mini cardboard sleeve edition CD $12 SKU:20201

TELESCOPES - As Approved by The Committee - Label:EVIL As Approved by The Committee . An unbeatable combination of all their best stuff, out of print and never before released in the US. "Like mad cultural terrorists, they've taken the norm and fed it through a psychedelic blender. It's all rather jagged and unsettling, the musical equivalent of cackling maggots spilling out through the eyeholes of the beautiful - and is both timely and exciting" (Melody Maker, 1994) CD $10 SKU:8909

TELESCOPES -SPLASHDOWN: THE COMPLETE CREATION..2CD)-Label:CHERRY RED .RECORDINGS 1990-1992' - DOUBLE-CD. GRAVEYARD TRAMPS EAT THE FORBIDDEN - Vol.1 CITY DOGFOOD Double 10” (obscure rockabilly, surf and R&B tracks)- Label:STAG-O-LEE (GERMANY) . Nearly 30 years ago, a now legendary LP by the name of 'Forbidden City Dogfood' was unleashed on an unsuspecting public. The release on Vip Vop Recs spawned many imitators such as 'Wavy Gravy', '4 Hairy Policemen' et al and paved the way for the equally legendary 'Purple Knif Show'. What few folk knew was that 'Forbidden City Dogfood' was actually less than half of the compilation made by Lux Interior. Now, for the very first time, the entire recording is available, weighing in at well over an hour of crazy, whacky sounds from the Maestro of Mad himself. Remastered from the original source, these obscure rockabilly, surf and R&B tracks are interspersed with B-movie trailer clips and wigged out voice overs. This one won't be around for long, so get it while you can. COMP LP $24 SKU:19926

GREASED BUCKSKIN BELTERS- VA (60s and 70s rock/psych rarities) Label:BELTER 14 HIGH OCTANE AND FRENZIED TALES OF BOOZED UP HICKS, CHICKS, DROP OUTS AND SKUNKS SYPHONED FROM VARIOUS NORTH AMERICAN OIL DUMPS OF ILL-REPUTE' - Belter Records (known from the 'Bonehead Crunchers' and 'Ultimate Bonehead' series) has been rampaging obscure nooks and crannies of North America to uncover a selection of frenetic screamers and high velocity tales of hellraising and beer swilling with fast driving stoners trying to catch even faster moving girls. If you can imagine a rockabilly outgrowth updated through a grinder operated by Keith Richards and Rob Tyner, you have an idea of what to expect. This LP merges rock'n'roll, late garage and budding proto punk in an endless orgy of high energy stupidity. The contents are mainly from the late '60s and early '70s. Limited to 300 copies only! BAINS, LEE - There is a Bomb in Gilead - YELLOW MARBLE LTD EDITION of 100 - LAST FEW! Label:ALIVE Congrats to our boys for their new LP on Subpop! Hear their debut here in a limited ed of 100 YELLOW MARBLE VINYL. LP $20 SKU:15968

BAINS, LEE - Dereconstructed (w first run color vinyl and MP3 download ) -Label:SUB POP Dereconstructed is a careening, road raging, all night party of a record. Informed by a distinctly southern hoodoo, it is a master class in authentic Gulf Coast choogle. Having cut his teeth in the Dexateens, Lee Bains lll has been properly schooled in how to throw down, so much so that even his hyper literate musings are no match for the blown out distortion that gives this record its blistering urgency.

Songs like “The Kudzu and the Concrete,” “Dirt Track” and the roaring, blissfully shambolic title track could be anthems looking for a stadium, but they’re also reminders as to why Lee Bains lll & the Glory Fires are such a formidable party machine. If your hometown is graced with a scuzzy dive and a few warm bodies to populate it, you’d best believe that the Glory Fires have been there, or are on their way back.

Dereconstructed is Lee Bains lll & the Glory Fires’ debut for Sub Pop Records. It is preceded by the band’s actual debut, There Is a Bomb in Gilead, on Alive Natural-Sound Records (2012). LP $16 SKU:10000

BARRACUDAS - Thru the Mysts of Time BLUE VINYL LTD ED of 100 Rarities 1978-81 - LAST COPIES Label:VOXX Great collection of demos & outtakes from the time of the first album, with liner notes by the band and cool photos: simply great! LP $20 SKU:16005

BARRACUDAS - ST -( ltd ed OF 100 color vinyl) -Label:NDN As a cursory look at radio playlists and cult whisperings will attest, The Barracudas reappearance after so long could not be better timed. Garage music is in fashion (again) and so is surf (well, Brian Wilson, and let's face it they might as well be synonymous). Power pop, likewise, from a 45 grave, has risen to reassert its importance. Indeed, all the styles the band have mastered and made their own are now current and selling. And another thing: The Barracudas sounds younger than yesterday but with experience supplying an edge that cuts across time to the heart of the band. LP $10 SKU:4392

BATORS -TOO MUCH TO DREAM - 1980 ORIGINAL PRESSING - TWO ONLYLabel:BOMP / RHINO Plain sleeve,Too much to dream, Make up your mind.

BATORS, STIV (DEAD BOYS)- Disconnected LTD ED. STARBURST VINYL with cool printed inner sleeve! (powerpop ) -Label:BOMP Inner sleeve includes photos and lyrics. Bators' first solo album, Disconnected was recorded in Los Angeles following the breakup of the Dead Boys. It's got more of a garage pop/Nuggets vibe than the work of the Dead Boys-he even covers the great Electric Prunes track 'I Had Too Much Too Dream Last Night.' But even though he professes to be an evil boy, he does it with a charm that's pretty irresistible." - Creem. LP $20 SKU:18189

BBQ - Tie Your Noose(Crazy 60s style party music!) Black VINYL -Label:BOMP Records One of Greg Shaw's last signings on BOMP records, and the the latest project from Mark Sultan (from the KING KAHN & BBQ Show, and Les Sexareenos), a man who has slept in the garage all his life. BBQ is not a group, it's the best one-man band since Wilbert Harrison (and no, we're not forgetting the Legendary Stardust Cowboy), doing a raw, soul-shaking style of pre-frat '50s/ early '60s party music--pre-frat frat rock. Take our word for it: with this crazy sound he's puttin' down, you can't sit down! A superb album. LP $10 SKU:12850

BEACHWOOD SPARKS- Tarnished Gold DBL LP - Label:SUB POP The album finds the band, chemistry as strong as ever, pushing themselves to make a truly memorable record. “We’re treading in areas that we never thought we’d go on this record,” says Rademaker. “It’s great to be making the kind of music that I like with my best friends and favorite musicians. The triumph was not only that it came out so listenable and good but also that we made the most of just being together. LP $22 SKU:15788

BEAU- Creation (Acid psych weirdness 1971) LAST COPIES Label:SOMMER Originally released for John Peel’s Dandelion label in 1971, “Creation” was the second album by underground folk troubadourTrevor “Beau” Midgley, recorded with psych band The Way We Live as backing group. Influenced by Tom Paxton, Leadbelly and Dylan, Beau started to write his own songs in the late 60s. After trying to secure a contract with Elektra Records with no success, he was approached by Clive Selwood (Elektra UK) and John Peel, who were launching a new label, Dandelion Records. Beau signed to them and released his eponymous debut album in 1969. For his second effort, Beau decided to experiment with a more folk-rock sound and add to the mix some avant-garde influences. Jim Milne (lead guitar and bass) and Steve Clayton (drums) from Dandelion stablemates The Way We Live / Tractor were the perfect backing band for him. “Creation” is a brilliant psych-folk / acid-folk offering with superb 12-string guitars, heartfelt vocals, studio effects and occasional acid-fuzz guitar. Beau’s avant-garde influences came to the fore on the title track, which verges into White Noise territory. The album closes with “Silence Returns”, featuring one of the most ear-splitting fuzz assaults ever committed to wax, courtesy of Jim Milne. Master tape sound. Four page insert featuring the first cover design whish was never used plus detailed liner notes by Beau himself and lyrics. Two previously unreleased bonus tracks from 1972 (featuring Tractor as backing band) which were recorded for “High Mass”, an aborted third Beau album which was never released at the time. “It’s a consistent album full of tone, deft playing and thoughtful lyrics that demand and reward attention” – Simon Crisp (Galactic Ramble) LP $16 SKU:20552

BENT WIND - Sussex -Holy Grail of Toronto heavy psych -Label:UGLY POP deluxe jacket w printed inner sleeve &new liners - TWEAKED CORNER DEAL! The Holy Grail of Canadian rock, this raw, murky slab of heavy psych was released by local indie label Trend in autumn 1970 and immediately sank without a trace. Over the decades, however, obsessive fans and collectors of the era's unsung greats gradually came to recognise the obscure Toronto band's genius, the now impossible-to-find original LP eventually trading hands for $5000+ plus in the rare vinyl market. After years of bootlegs, compact discs and pricey European pressings, this mythical Canadian LP is finally available at home in its intended format for the first time in 44 years. LP $10 SKU:15803

BEVIS FROND- Triptych(:80s psych legends) VERY SLIGHT TWEAKED CORNER DISCOUNT! Label:CHERRY RED I actually couldnt find the bent corner, it’s almost invisible.

80s psych legends vinyl version comes with four additional tracks (one whole LP side)! Hailed with the same breathless enthusiasm as Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd and The Flaming Lips (hah, when have those three been referenced in the same breath?) ‘Triptych’ is further proof of the quality of The Bevis Frond legacy. Now with additional tracks in this limited edition format. “A trip worth taking!” squealed Foster Child magazine. Who can argue? Remastered from the original sound sources with sleevenotes by Nick Saloman. Basically, this album is worth buying for the track 'Lights Are Changing,' an incredibly catchy slice of pre-Teenage Fanclub sounding bliss. The best songs have great hooks and walls of psychedelic lo-fi guitar. The 19-minute 'Tangerine Infringement Beak' is here too. LP $12 SKU:19294

BLAIR 1523 (Spacemen 3 related ) -- Beautiful Debris ( Psych/Drone ) LAST COPIES! -Label:VOXX LAST COPIES (Voxx 060) Brought to us by Sonic Boom of Spacemen 3, this remarkable band from the bucolic shire of Cornwall had a variety of strengths, from strong pop songwriting to a penchant for extended freakout jams, all of which is captured on this, the only record they made before sadly breaking up. To those few fortunate enough to have heard it, it remains an esoteric favorite.. Psychedelic swirl/drone pop Early Floyd/ Elevators sound by his amazing UK band. “This album is worth buying for the cover alone. BLOPS- ST ( 1970s highly sought after killer South American psych/prog rarity -180 gram ltd to 300 ) Label:GUERSSEN First official reissue of this early 1970s highly sought after killer South American psych/progressivBLOPSe rarity under licence from Arci in Chile! Pressed on 180 gram vinyl. Shrink-rapped. Limited edition of just 300 copies.
The monumental fiasco Los Blops experienced at the Vine Festival of- ST ( 1970s highly sought after killer South American psych/prog rarity -180 gram ltd to 300 ) 3 ONLY 1972 gave rise to an abrupt reaction on behalf of the group. It was something like "if they do not want subtle songs, poetic and loving, then try this: ‘Locomotive.’ The group even momentarily changed their name to Paraffin. The acoustic guitars were still there, at least for the performances, but now with an openness for the electric and the progressive thing. Julio Villalobos had already left the group by this time, and he was replaced by the classic pianist Juan Vile Carlos, who made a significant contribution in keyboards. With this, Los Blops, after an anarchical stage of pure improvisation, returned now to another serious tryout—in the 'Manchufelá de Peñalolén'(?), this time with a more aggressive, progressive, quite unclassifiable style which once again was absolutely pioneering for Chile. Under the name of Paraffin, they returned to the public in February of 1973, and performed at the mythical festival Los Caminos que se Abren (Ways being opened), next to Los Jaivas and the El Polen from Peru, and other groups. The delivery of Paraffin/Los Blops was total, overwhelming, and left a memory difficult to erase, for many until today. The group played only seven tracks, among them five of them were recorded on the album. LP $16 SKU:13525

BLUE ASH - No More, No LESS 150 GRAM (1973)Label:URANUS Blue Ash's stunning debut album, pressed for the first time since 1973
Contains 12 Power Pop classics, including "Abracadabra (Have You Seen Her?)" and "Smash My Guitar"
Pressed on 150-gram black vinyl and housed inside a full-color sleeve
Limited to 500 copies
Hailing from Youngstown, Ohio, Blue Ash are the great, forgotten power pop band of the early '70s. Actually, "forgotten" may be too strong a word, for any power pop fan worth their salt knows of Blue Ash even if they've never been able to score either of their two LPs.
Blue Ash were a rock band first and foremost, placing the sheer rush of sound over hooks, something that a lot of their progeny never did. That's what gives their debut No More No Less…such a punch: they are one of the few groups that truly put some power in their pop. This much is evident by the raucous album-opener "Abracadabra (Have You Seen Her)," a song with all the melodic rush of "Go All the Way" but leaner and meaner. LP $16 SKU:17781

SUN ALSO RISES - ST (Superb 70s Brit acid psych folk) Label:LION Superb sought-after 1970 British acid folk rarity from the Village Thing label. The Sun Also Rises is another case of a folk/psych duo (we’re thinking of Emtidi, whose “Saat” album we have also reissued) who virtually disappeared in the flesh, once they had left behind a small but fascinating recorded legacy. The sole Sun Also Rises album has been reissued (legally and illegally) on several occasions, a testament to continuing interest in the music contained therein. Who were they? They were Graham and Anne Hemingway from Cardiff, described everywhere as a mystical, magical hippie female and male folk duo, who played guitars, dulcimer, glockenspiel, vibes, bells, kazoo, percussion—joined throughout by label-mate John Turner (bowed and finger-picked string bass), and Andy Leggett. Their one and only album is very much in the creative style and delivery of the Incredible String Band, with similarities to the work of their contemporaries Dr. Strangely Strange, COB, Comus, Forest and Tir Na Nog, as well as others of the original freak-folk brigade. The results of their efforts were tripped-out, spellbinding, esoteric folk collages—songs of wizards and dragons, dreams and intentions, love, flickering candlelight, the sweet scent of half-remembered summers, death, jasmine, and suicide. We hope that this album will come as a wonderful surprise for lovers of the Incredible String Band and their ilk, as there were few bands that were able to stray into this much loved and much loathed world of fantasy and folk music, and live to tell the tale. Our Lion Productions edition comes with a 16-page booklet printed on FSC recycled, chlorine-free, 100% post-consumer fiber paper manufactured using biogas energy, which contains a small dose of band info, album lyrics, histories of the Village Thing and Saydisc labels by co-founder Gef Lucena, as well as a Village Thing label discography. SWAMPGAS -ST(1972 rural southern-esque vibe) Label:Skyf Zol First discovered while opening for the Grateful Dead, Long Island quartet Swampgas were taken under the wing of producer Artie Kornfeld (Wind In The Willows, Woodstock co-conspirator) and set about recording an LP. Due to financial difficulties the album was held up a year, and finally given a cursory release in 1972 (Buddah BDS 5102), by which time the disillusioned band has already broken up. Listening to their sole artifact now, one immediately notices the loose, rural southern-esque vibe considering their northern roots, and the inventive guitarwork of main songwriter Baird Hersey, who continues to make music today as leader of the overtone singing ensemble Prana. TAKIS BARBAGALAS -MANTICORE'S BREATH Phosphorus Hesperus-Label:WOW RECORDS Takis Barbagalas, guitarist and composer, is the driving force behind MANTICORE'S BREATH and WILL-O-THE WISP. This is his first solo album, which may also be considered as the third Manticore's Breath LP, given that all Manticore's Breath musicians participated. Based on the ancient Greek myths behind Esperus and Phosphorus, Takis created an instrumental, atmospheric, psychedelic-progressive concept-album featuring a powerful blend of guitars, farfisa organ and flutes. Dreamy, mystical, sentimental poetic. This edition is limited to 300 copies on green vinyl in a deluxe ultra heavy gatefold cover, with a colour PVC sleeve. • Deluxe ultra heavy gatefold cover, with colour PVC sleeve. • LP is 600 pieces limited and numbered (300 blue vinyl, 300 green vinyl) • CD is 300 pieces limited and numbered, deluxe, a miniature replica of the LP cover. TAMBA TRIO - Brasil Saluda A Mexico ONE ONLY! RARE MEXICAN mini LP SLVLabel:VAM RECORDS (MEXICO) Brazil Saluda A Mexico (trans. Brazil Salutes Mexico) is a rare -- perhaps the most obscure -- album from the legendary Luiz Eca's Tamba Trio. Released in Mexico only in 1966 and unreleased anywhere else until much later. A very classy and classic set of fresh and groovy takes on some of the most familiar bossa numbers of the time -- and even though the songs are quite familiar, they come off heavenly-fresh. The CD includes "Corcovado," "Garota de Ipanema," "So Danco Samba," "Berimbau," "Consolacao," "Desafinado," and four more tracks. CD $10 SKU:19914

I DON'T CARE - VOL. 2: DUTCH PUNK 1977-1983 - 180 GRAM VINYL DOUBLE LP Label:PSEUDONYM The image the term "Dutch punk" conjures up for many is that of the pitched battles during the squat clearances and the coronation of Queen Beatrix, in 1980. This is a shame as the equally tough, committed music that the Dutch punks made tends to get overlooked. Prey to many socio and economic forces, and often having to rely on its own ingenuity, Dutch punk was one of the most resilient and flexible of musical movements, spawning bands as brilliant as Ivy Green, Rondos, and as durable as Mecano Ltd. and The Ex. Luckily Pseudonym Records have released 'I Don't Care', a comprehensive collection brimful of brilliant, spiky and often innovative music. Exclusively restored, courtesy of dynamic 24 bit remastering from the original master tapes, and benefitting from an audiophile pressing on high quality 180-gram vinyl, this double LP compilation is a real "must-have" for collectors. The 37 tracks both highlight key players, and give a comprehensive overview of Dutch punk's finest and most interesting moments. This double LP also boasts 4 previously unreleased tracks and versions, an entertaining overview of the musical history of Dutch punk, and a wealth of obscure photos and related memorabilia. Compiled more or less in release order, and spanning the years 1977 to 1983, it also serves as a brilliant starting point for the curious, or those punk historians who may have overlooked the music that these turbulent years in the Netherlands unleashed. This compilation is housed in a deluxe 38- gram carton gatefold sleeve, and the cover is drawn by legendary "punk" illustrator Joost Swarte, who designed a number of classic punk covers. BISCUIT -TIME FOR ANSWERS (60s style psych freakbeat) -LAST ONE! Label:NO TOMORROW Biscuit is one of those (rare) bands than take their inspiration mainly from 60s sounds (beat, garage, psychedelia, freakbeat, hard-rock, folk-rock, soul, rocknroll) but do not sound like just another 60s band. Their sound is uniquely their own, and trying to compare them to another band is so silly that lazy reviewers come out with comparisons as diverse as Urge Overkill, Soundtracks of Our Lives, the Byrds or The Prisoners in the same line. Which of course are all wrong. What is sure right is that these guys have a good thing going when it comes to combine meaty, solid guitar riffs with beautiful melodies. They know the secret of how to make well-crafted, passionate songs, the kind that grow with every listen. They can rock as fuck one minute and melt your heart the next. You can feel the anger, rage and desperation in their songs, but also the gratefulness, love and tenderness. You can feel the people behind the music. In a phrase, they've got soul. In my book, a truely classic record". LP $17 SKU:19899

BLACK PYRAMID- II(STONER PSYCH) DOUBLE CLEAR/GREENLabel:HEADSPIN Limited edition 200 copies 2x180 gram translucent dark green swirl vinyl, housed in majestic gatefold sleeve. Known for its dynamic sound that blends towering riff cosmos with magnetic psychedelic rock, BLACK PYRAMID has been turning heads in the underground music world since its formation in late 2007; the response to its initial demo and debut 7" was such that the band's name spread even faster than its music. The group's instantly agreeable bang and spectacular live shows has garnered the trio an army of loyal enthusiasts. BLACK PYRAMID's thunderous tone, fire-eating licks, lyrical bent and single-minded devotion to music has enabled the trio to share the stage with a variety of like-minded heavy rock acts - from Electric Wizard to Black Mountain - and have pegged the unit as a "band to watch". Heavier and more atmospheric than the band's debut, Black Pyramid II contains BLACK PYRAMID's most ambitious material to date; a fact especially underlined by the epic, 15 minute long closing track "Into The Dawn." When writing the album, the band drew inspiration from "Lovecraft, Robert E Howard, Edison's second book "Mistress Of Mistresses" and both Norse and Indian mythology", while a big influence as far as source material was Grant Morrison's "The Invisibles", the popular comic book series with a plot that follows (more or less) a single cell of "The Invisible College", a secret organization "battling against physical and psychic oppression using time travel, magic, meditation and violence." LP $22 SKU:18746

BLEU FOREST-ICHIBAN Live At Jimmies(1969 summer of love HENDRIX STYLE)Label:GOLDEN PAVILION The very first recordings by The Bleu Forest took place after the group had played a show at the Hey You Coffeehouse in Ventura, CA. Jimmie Haskell invited the psych/acid-rockers to come to Hollywood and record on the spot at his place. His intention was to capture how the band sounded live, and that is exactly what 'Ichiban' does, thanks to the band members in fine form, two mics, a recording machine, and lots of spontaneity and raw energy with no retakes. It's a time-capsule direct from Jimmie's place in August, 1967. Limited to 500 copies. LP $25 SKU:19491
