RESTOCKS, SAALE, AND REMINDERS

LOVELY EGGS-I Am Moron(heavy psych/pop)Label:EGG The Lovely Eggs' 2020 full-length 'I Am Moron' once again offers a delightful mixture of heavy psych, catchy pop and strangeness. CD $17 SKU:23728

LOVEMASTERS w Ron Asheton - ST (Detroit Stooges style) digipack SAALE - Label:TOTAL ENERGY - Hot Pants Zone. Detroit guitar action featuring ex-Ramrods Robert Mulrooney, and with Ron Asheton of the Stooges making a guest appearance. “The groove-savvy, born-in-the-garage-set-the-world-on-fire sound explosion of Motor City's MC5 and Stooges - the same sound that drove Radio Birdman, the Scientists, Big Chief, etc all to create such great fare - is alive and kickin' on the Lovemasters' six-song EP. Led by local legend Bootsey X, a.k.a. Robert Mulrooney (ex Ramrods), the Detroit band cranks it up, puts it into drive and rocks - hard.” - L. Anderson / CMJ CD $10 SKU:23946

LOVETONES - Be What you Want (AUSSIE psychedelic pop) promo- LAST copies Label:Evil 9 (same as regular, in plastic envelope with a drilled bar code, but includes booklet.)Although these guys are from Sydney Australia, if you didn't know any better you'd swear they were from the UK, as Be What You Want is filled with the kind of textural, psychedelic-tinged sounds that the un-informed mainstream press will liken to Radiohead. Lead vocalist Matthew Tow (formerly of Drop City) possesses a powerful instrument indeed, which serves the band well on cool, Brit-pop tunes like 'The Sound And The Fury', 'Give It All I Can', and 'Something Good'. The album has its lighter moments as well; 'Drink The Night (My Love)' will recall Squeeze with its octave-separated vocal harmonies and 'The One And Only', with its soulful bent guitar notes, is as catchy as pop music gets. There's also the standout ballad 'It's Always Been This Way', which has the kind of gut-wrenching impact that Dennis Wilson provided on Pacific Ocean Blue. Good stuff, this! (Shindig review).
"Guided by brilliant production, Be What You Want, is a pop-rock classic. Distinguished by golden melodies and a subject matter that is emotionally direct and largely autobiographical, the Lovetones are reviving the true essence of psychedelic pop."[Rolling Stone] "The best Australian band you haven't heard of yet. This punchy debut will be blasting from a radio speaker near you soon. It leaves you hungry for more."[Courier Mail]. Out of print now, BUT we have a few promo copies, packed in heavy plastic sleeves rather than jewel cases and with a hole drilled thru thebar code, otherwise like regular copies CD $5 SKU:10387

LUMBEE- Overdose (60s hard-edged fuzzed/freak-out psych)Label:GEAR FAB This period piece typifies the habits, moods & practices of the youth during the late 60’s. The music is a hard-edged fuzzed/freak-out psych experience CD $10 SKU:17728

LUTHER -N- THE B.B.B.'S-BEST OF VOL #2, (NY-based power-pop)Label:JARGON The B.B.B.'s (Bothered By Boredom) is a Rochester, NY-based power-pop band with singer/guitarist Luther Holtzman being the only constant in an ever-shifting line-up. Although the group formed in the early '80s at the University of Rochester and remained an on-and-off presence on the local scene thereafter, it wasn't until 1998 that the B.B.B.'s first proper album was released. This is their second one, containing great tracks that combine the style of Chuck Berry with British Invasion-affected rock'n'roll. CD $17 SKU:22673

LYNN CASTLE ROSE -Rose Colored Corner- ST (reissue of 1966 Recordings) Label:LITA Though most of the world may not know the songs of Lynn Castle, she is an artist whose work stretches across seven decades. She has created a diverse and vast (albeit mostly unreleased) discography of pop, folk, country, gothic, rock, punk, blues, and children’s songs. Light In The Attic Records is very excited to continue its Lee Hazlewood Archive Series with Rose Colored Corner, a collection of intimate recordings Lynn Castle made with Jack Nitzsche in 1966 and her complete recorded output with Lee Hazlewood on LHI Records. For the first time ever Lynn is sharing recordings from her personal archive and telling her story CD $10 SKU:24184

MAD TIMOTHY- A Very Snug Joiner (previously unknown late ’60s/ early ’70s acetate, BLue Cheer style)-Label:GEAR FAB First ever release for this previously unknown late ’60s/ early ’70s acetate, rescued from a thrift store in Chicago. Damaged heavy blooz–psych in the vein of Blue Cheer, Majic Ship, Mount Rushmore, Houston Fearless, Apryl Fool, Sweet Slag, Mutzie, Aum, Screw, or a wasted teenage Canned Heat. CD $10 SKU:20585

MAGIC - Enclosed -RARE GUITAR ACID PSYCH 60s )- Label: GEAR FAB An original sound by an uncommon band. Very rare music by this band from psychedelic era. Guitar acid sound on the trails of sixty California Heroes such us Quicksilver Messenger Service and Dead. CD $10 SKU:20337

MAGIC BUS - THE EARTH YEARS (Devon psych rangers Dead style) SAALE!Label: BACK TO THE GARDEN Totnes, Devon-based psychedelic rangers Magic Bus have been weaving together their own cosmic tapestry for 10 years with sources as diverse as the Canterbury scene, California jam bands, eastern mysticism, and '70s prog. There are some new and familiar sonic influences on this one... certainly a hint of The Grateful Dead, Gong and maybe even The Beatles... but very much the Magic Bus sound. CD $15 SKU:23286

MAINLINERS-BRING ON THE SWEETLIFE (Stooges' raw exuberance with good old British R&B and a taste of Kinks pop) Label:GET HIP The Mainliners combine the Stooges' raw exuberance with good old British rhythm and blues and a taste of Kinks pop sensibilities, producing an explosive yet soothing sound. Frontman Robert Billing's voice is reminiscent of a young Van Morrison and will surely give the Hives' Howlin' Pelle a run for his money. Such a visceral voice is accented by furious guitar work, trashcan drum beats, and solid bass lines. The Mainliners are not formula rock. Their musical influences go from '60s Them to '70s Mott the Hoople to '80s Sweden garage cult band The Creeps. They're smooth, confident and original, attacking rock 'n' roll with a fuck-all attitude and the songs to back it up! CD $10 SKU:22179

MAJIC SHIP- ST (70s pop psych Vanilla Fudge style ) Label:GEAR FAB Finally their 1970 original LP released on the Bel-Ami label, new liner lotes by the band accompany this improved sound and photo quality of the release. CD $10 SKU:23558

MANDALA - Soul Crusade (1966 heavy soul psych) Label:PACEMAKER “Soul Crusade” LP was released in 1968 and happened to be the first and only album by MANDALA. It presented a bunch of original songs with rich, gorgeous and quite heavy arrangements built around solid beat grooves, blistering guitar riffing, and powerful Hammond-organ chords. The vocal duties were taken over by Ray Kenner who had powerful, soulful, and charismatic voice. Stylistically, Mandala were one of those hard rockin’ bands who performed original Psychedelic Art-Rock with strong influences from Soul, Funk, and Rhythm-N-Blues music. IGOR G ALLMUSIC CD $10 SKU:19937

MANGROVE -Endless Skies (70s style heavy rock trio IYL Sabbath /Zep )Label:TRANSUBSTANS Mangrove is a heavy and powerful classic rock trio with their roots in the late 60's and the early 70's hard rock and psychedelic scene. Groovy jams and heavy chords is one of Mangrove's trademarks. Mangrove was born in the late fall of 2006 in Stockholm (Sweden) after many late night jams and rehearsals. The first album 'Endless Skies' was released in May 2009 on Transubstans Records, with lots of awesome reviews in both Music Magazines and Web Fanzines as a result. In November 2010 Mangrove releases their second album 'A Distant Dream Of Tomorrow' on Transubstans Records. The album contains ten songs which are energetic, powerful and dynamic. The feeling is that the band has reached a new level. Mangrove has a lot of different influences, but as a listener you can not be mistaken if you can hear some similarity with bands like Black Sabbath, Rush, Led Zeppelin and The Who among others CD $10 SKU:22564

MARCOS VALLE - VENTO SUL (Reissue of 1972 Brazilian Beach Bum Classic) Label:LITA During the hot Brazilian summer of 1971, Marcos and Paulo Sergio Valle, along with their significant others and six additional couples, rented a few modest fisherman shacks in the small village of Búzios to escape from Rio’s more populated beaches. The focus was making music and soul searching, as was the practice for affluent young hippies back then. They stayed for two months. “I wanted to go in a new direction,” says Marcos looking back. “I wanted to try out a rock influence and to risk a little bit more.” Shifting away from the studio musicians used on 1971’s Garra, Vento Sul (translation “South Wind”) was a rewarding collaboration with Brazilian progressive rockers O Terço.

Originally released in 1972, Vento Sul not only channeled the Búzios beach bum vibe, but also manifested a floating dream like psychedelic sound. Elevated by a strong union between Valle and O Terço, Vento Sul’s magical spell of an album is a welcome addition to any South American friendly record collection and sits proudly with the best of Brazil. File after Os Mutantes and before Caetano Veloso. CD $10 SKU:24185

MARCUS (Rusty Evans) - Original LP and Outtakes DBL CD (60s psych w 32 bonus tracks and 20 PAGE BOOKLET) - Label:LION fter the release of the Freak Scene album, psychedelic guru Rusty Evans made his way from NYC to San Francisco, a geographic shift that resulted in work for the legendary San Francisco Sound label, producing bands such as It’s A Beautiful Day, Tripsichord, and Indian Puddin’ and Pipe; it also led to a drastic shift in style from the psychedelic "happening" of the Deep album for Cameo Parkway and the raga rock of the Freak Scene album for Columbia. And so it came to pass that Evans reclaimed his birth name of Marcus, and recorded a very mellow LP in 1969 for Kinetic Records, a label formed by the Kinetic Playground Ballroom in Chicago. Like much of Marcus’ work, the album is a fascinating relic of a particular time and place, in this instance San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury district in the post-Summer of Love era. The Marcus LP is richly orchestrated psychedelic-folk music, with a pronounced Donovan and/or Tim Harden flavor to it, something that did not escape its creator. The mood is dreamy, the songs reflective, the voice vibrato, the album a yin to the yang of the Freak Scene "Psychedelic Psoul" album which precedes it by two years. So we have the hot and aggressive Freak Scene album contrasted—some might say perfectly balanced—by the diffuse and tranquil Marcus album two years later. To our mind, further proof of the excellence of the artistic mind behind both albums. This is the first actual re-issue of the vastly under-rated Marcus album since 1969; the only previous CD edition used alternate takes and not the album versions. Our fulsome edition indulges any completionist fantasies we might harbor, as it also serves up thirty-two bonus tracks, nearly two hours of alternate takes and acoustic demos (plus a few non-album tracks). There are guitar/voice demos recorded several months before Kinetic came along and offered a deal; other home demos have Marcus with acoustic guitar, bass and cello. There are guitar/voice demos were recorded six to eight months before Kinetic came along and offered a deal; other home demos have Marcus with acoustic guitar, bass and cello. There are also abundant demo studio versions, some of tremendous quality. The end result is (apparently) our first "interactive" release, as you can create your own ideal version of the Marcus album. Budget-priced double disc package includes a 20-page booklet, with an introduction by Marcus, his incredible history in music, as well as lyrics. Printed on FSC recycled, chlorine-free, 100% post-consumer fiber paper manufactured using biogas energy. CD $10 SKU:14223

MARK “PORKCHOP” HOLDER- Death and the Blues (Blistering slide guitar - ex Black Diamond Heavies CD Label:ALIVE Guitarist, singer, harmonica player, and songwriter MARK PORKCHOP HOLDER is a founding member of the seminal Tennessee punk rock blues band The Black Diamond Heavies (with John Wesley Myers aka James Leg, and Van Campbell of the band King Mud).

MARK PORKCHOP HOLDER plays the blues, and his music is the sound of the truth. He has traveled around the world and the US, and played at festivals, clubs, in the streets, at churches, in public toilets, army surplus stores, and in a mental hospital or two. After more than a decade of struggling with depression and addiction, he has finally come back home, in Chattanooga TN, and assembled a first rate power trio. CD $10 SKU:19268

MARK & THE CLOUDSCUMULUS (UK power pop) SAALE!Label:MEGA DODO British band Mark And The Clouds follows up its debut-album 'Blue Skies Opening' with 'Cumulus', another fine collection of '60s-tinged powerpop, leaning towards psychpop. This release once again reveals traces of a.o. Beatles, Small Faces and Kinks. Nice! Very nice! CD $15 SKU:22540

MASON-HARBOUR (70s Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Grand Funk) style aCID ARCHIVE FAVE!) Label:GEAR FAB Smokin' heavy rock with an early progressive sound and overtones of folk and blues from Virginia, 1971. Originally released on the Eleventh Hour label, which also released Polyphony's Without Introduction (OSR 024LP, 1971). Powerful vocals, loud guitar, flute, and killer Hammond organ -- think Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Grand Funk... Master tape sound; includes repro of the original multi-page insert plus liner notes. "This is an interesting and diverse hard-rock album. If you can picture slow, organ-rich heavy prog, jazzy sax instrumentals, and snappy riff rockers, you'll have an idea of what you're in store for there. There's an air of professionalism usually absent from this kind of self-made records. 'Tell Me' has a fuzz guitar tone to die for." --Aaron Milenski, The Acid Archives CD $10 SKU:22026

MASTER PLAN-Colossus Of Destiny W Andy Shernoff andKeith of Fleshtones ) SAALE -last copies Label:TOTAL ENERGY Devised by ANDY SHERNOFF (bass & vocals), KEITH STRENG (guitar & vocals), PAUL JOHNSON (guitar & vocals) and BILL MILHIZER (drums & vocals), The MASTER PLAN delivers an old school rock'n'roll album the way it was intented to be : rootsy, boozy and fun. “Combine mid-Atlantic son Paul Johnson (once Paul Tiers of the Waxing Poetics) with pillars of the New York garage sound community, namely Andy Shernoff of the Dictators, and Bill Milhizer/Keith Streng of the Fleshtones, and you have just what you might expect. Great guitar work and a straightforward style that pays homage to basement-driven, beer-battered, saxophone-thickened rock n' roll. If you want pensive lyrics, go to Target.” - Bruno Westover/Left of the Dial CD $5 SKU:23947

MAYPOLE - The Real (LOST USA PSYCH CLASSIC 1970)Label:GEAR FAB Lost US psych classic, originally recorded in 1970, by this Baltimore twin guitar powerhouse, who specialized in fluid improvisation, complex and melodic song structures, and high charged emotions in their performance. One to file next to your Public Nuisance and Morgen LPs. As good as it gets for this type of record. State of the art remastering by Golden Mastering, and complete historical notes by Maypole co-founder, Dennis Tobell, and Anopheles Records' Karl Ikola. CD $10 SKU:18660

MC5 - Starship - Live june 1968 WAREHOUSE FIND -Label:ALIVE Another worthy archive MC 5 release brought to you from the folks at the Alive/Total Energy label. For some strange reason,it took time for me to land down a copy of this disc after it came out. With twelve cuts and a duration of seventy minutes, this proves to be a relatively long set,for the MC 5.The sound isn't perfect, but it's decent.Well, good enough for any REAL MC 5 fan.Starts off with "Kick Out The Jams" and "Come Together".As the gig progresses, one notices several covers, like James Brown's "Cold Sweat",Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" and Cream's "Born Under A Bad Sign".One of my all-time MC 5 favorites are here,"I Want You".Wanted to mention this appears to be a straight-on through concert. No snippets of the best of a half-a-dozen shows.Don't you hate it when bands do that?At least without noting it on the CD's back cover?A real find for MC 5 fans." CD $15 SKU:16631

MC5- POWERTRIP - WAREHOUSE FIND -Label:TOTAL ENERGY Found a few of these kicking around the warehouse from long ago and far away! "POWER TRIP was the first MC5 release on Alive/Total Energy and it is just superb: Not only are the performances excellent and sound great but also most of these tracks are unique to this disc only. The three instrumental outtakes from late October/early November ‘70—“The Pledge Song”, “Head Sounds (Part Two)” and an early version of “Skunk (Sonicly Speaking)” named “Power Trip”—are all killer 5 moments as is the extended raw, noised-out improv “I’m Mad Like Eldridge Cleaver” and the previously-mentioned tracks from “Dialogue ‘68” which are trudgeworthy, pre-Kick Out the Jams live assaults played at the same ear-splitting volume but at a fraction of the pace. Highly recommended. (Note: although not credited as such, the version of “Black to Comm” on here is from Saginaw.)" Arthur Magazine CD $10 SKU:16757

MC5- Human Being Lawnmower Maddest and Baddestm WAREHOUSE FIND -Label:TOTAL ENERGY Found a few of these kicking around the warehouse from long ago and far away! Okay. After all this razzmatazz, probably the best place to start is with the recent Human Being Lawnmower: The Baddest and Maddest Of MC5 CD, which collects many of the best moments off previous Total Energy releases along with the best sounding live cover version of Ray Charles’ “I Believe To My Soul” ever, a brilliant sounding “flat mix” of the A-2 version of ‘Borderline” and a poignant Sonic Smith acoustic demo of “Over And Over.“ Rounding it all off is J.C. Crawford’s “What Is Zenta?” and well, what more could you ask for? (Besides the tracks they left off Kick Out the Jams, the pre-Landau run-throughs at Elektra of “Human Being Lawnmower,” “Call Me Animal” and “Teenage Lust,” I mean…) ARTHUR MAGAZINE CD $10 SKU:20236

MCKAY- Into You (rare private press 70’s weed burner rock ) -Label:LION Artist-released master-tape reissue of extremely rare private press LP from Indianapolis (1978); "Low-key rural melodic guitar rock with Ray Pierle. excellent songwriting and musicianship" (Ron Moore, Underground Sounds); the album is very good heavy 1970’s sounding tracks in a CSNY vein, with adjectives applied by others that include: "weed-burner", "west coast", and "fluid leads; sixteen bonus tracks issued here for the first time are from the same era and of consistent quality both sonically and musically. CD $10 SKU:23560

MEDIA- BRIGHT NEW FUTURE (1978 UK punk )Label: LOVE CHILD The Media were a Portsmouth band formed in 1978, influenced by the UK punk explosion of 1977. The Media played loads of shows, honed their '60s beat meets '70s street/seminal suburban songs, got a bit good, built a large following, released two singles and by 1980 were featured in a youth TV series called 'Going Out'. What could possibly go wrong? Their debut EP 'No Darling I Love The Media' appeared in 1978 on their own Tearaway Records (Cherry Red Records distributed it). A second single, 'Southcoast City Rockers' and 'Back On The Beach' came out the following year on the Portsmouth collective Brain Booster Records. The single showed the band moving on musically, taking in elements of the UK's emerging ska scene (led by The Specials' Two Tone label) and the Mod revival inspired by The Jam. On the back of the money they were paid for the 'Going Out' TV series, the band went in the studio with the aim of recording songs for an album - 9 songs were completed. But, trouble at one of their support slots led to the cancellation of a series of gigs, including a prominent London show, and the band split in 1981. Fast forward 37 years and the master tapes from that album session were found by a band member in their loft. On the advice of Acid Attack's Dave Clarke the tape is sent to Paul Orwell at Love Child Records, who in turn played it to Adam Cooper of parent company Heavy Soul Records, both of these uber music fans gave it a massive thumbs up. So now 40 years after release of first Media EP the album 'Bright New Future' is now available! CD $15 SKU:23073

MIDNIGHT TRAVELLERS - UNCOMMON SENSE(Spain’s finest hard-70s rock band.) SAALE! Label:WILD PUNK Debut album by Spain’s finest hard-70s rock band. Great "on the road" feeling and amazing guitar playing! CD $10 SKU:22337

BECK STUDIO ACETATE-UNKNOWN ARTIST 1969-Label:SEELIE COURT (UK) Cut in Northampton’s Beck studios circa 1969 and thought to be connected to Axe’s lead guitarist, this band remain completely unknown — only one battered acetate exists which has been held in a private collection for decades. It has track titles but no band name, with all research drawing blanks. Regardless, this is arguably the finest example of blistering underground heavy prog jamming ever graven in acetate or vinyl. And the band are at the top of their game: this is not a dodgy private press, it’s the real mccoy — a band that’s honed a perfect organic sound, with fantastic interplay, male and female vocal leads, and a guitarist completely on fire, possibly Axe’s Anthony Barford (RIP) as theorised by Dark’s Steve Giles… but we can’t be sure. Four long tracks. If you like Uriah Heep, May Blitz, and a touch of Jefferson Airplane, you need this. The final track is a space ballad with the girl on lead vocal; she outclasses Grace Slick and Julie Driscoll. Fact. Ranks with Dark. Valued in excess of £10,000.” Limited to 500x copies. LP $28 SKU:23994

Dominique Blanc-Francard -Ailleurs-ST Label:LION Dominique Blanc-Francard’s “Ailleurs” is trippy and weird... and yet… the songs are catchy and the album rocks out. Fuzzy guitar, chunky drums, weird effects, a thick mix of layers of sound — all tasty ingredients. Pink Floyd meets T-Rex? It’s a terrific recipe, which surely must describe other albums? Even so, we can’t think of another album that sounds quite like “Ailleurs.” •Eight page insert booklet includes an interview of Dominique Blanc-Francard by Jean-Emmanuel Deluxe, in French and English LP $24 SKU:24345

TOTAL REJECTION - The Time Traveller's 3rd Will And Testament (Garage rocking pop-psych heads)Label: RAVING POP BLAST! Garage rocking pop-psych heads , very possibly the best one yet. Taking their '60s influenced garage rock music a step further, 'The Time Traveller's...' finds deeper darker depths. Influences are worn on the front of t-shirts, quite openly yes, but you can actually believe these guys know what they're wearing! This album builds on the raw sound of its predecessors with a further blast of psych'n'roll. Tremelo and wah wah pedals get abused to squalling effect, Keith Moon-esque drums clatter and the Hammond wails. It's ALIVE! And THRILLING! The songs are stuffed with pop melodies and the sound has its tentacles over all manner of '60s bands - the cover of Bohemian Vendetta's 'Enough' gives a clue as to where the band's collective head is. The album is beautifully produced in a way it sounds like it wasn't produced at all. Totally raw and occasionally rough-edged, exactly how music was recorded, before technology smoothed everything out to near blandness. Guitars twang, chime, fuzz and wah-wah into a frenzy of excitement, vocals stretch beyond their abilities and occasionally scream and break, while the drums biff bang and pow (er) their way through, while somehow holding everything together. Organs swirl, and a variety of 'strange sounds' all of which were created by experimentation, rather than using modern day 'plug ins' or 'pressing buttons', will have you wondering, what is that?... TRAINWRECK RIDERS - The Perch W FREE CD -Buffalo Springfield, Creedence style )Label:ALIVE Obscure ALIVE release... Great record, last copies! Meat Puppets, Dinosaur Jr., Buffalo Springfield and Creedence Clearwater Revival are among Trainwreck Riders admitted musical references, but it is said that the boys main influence is Rob Kerwin's, Steve and Andrew's dad, music collection of old timey country and fiddle playing. Their new album, "The Perch", is filled with the band's unique brand of romantic urban country, bohemian folk and dirty punk blues, and displays Pete Frauenfelder's and Andrew Kerwin's amazing songwriting evolution, both lyrically and musically. The band has toured the US with Langhorne Slim, Two Gallants and The Black Diamond Heavies LP $15 SKU:10152

TRYAD-IF ONLY YOU BELIEVE IN LOVIN'(1971 acid folk)Label: DEL VAL Last copies of this 2014 reissue of this excellent acid folk album. Del Val Records present a reissue of Tryad's 'If Only You Believe In Lovin'', originally released in 1971 as a private press. Ultra-deluxe LP reissue on the recently resurrected (and sadly now defunct) Del Val label, the obscure but legendary label previously responsible for early and collectible vinyl editions by The Brigade, The Bachs, Bent Wind, D.R. Hooker, Fifty Foot Hose, etc. Long overdue and much delayed reissue of this NYC private press few have heard and less have seen. Comparable to the best UK folk-fusion LPs of the era, this is like a Yankee version of Hunter Muskett's great 'Every Time You Move' (1970), with co-ed vocals plus bass/drums/pedal steel/flute/keys accompaniment. Consider this East Coast haunted not West Coast hip, though you'll be reminded of a certain revered private from out there that wouldn't exist for another five years: Relatively Clean Rivers. Comes with a four page lyric insert, and the cover is what they were made like fifty years ago, this one is a heavy duty, very excellent Stoughton tip-on jacket. LP $15 SKU:22511

Here's the ten-inch debut EP by The Wednesday Knights, containing five songs of wild organ drenched garage punk. Hailing from Bergen, Norway, the band draws inspiration from 60's garage rock, 80's garage-revival, rhythm'n'blues, pub rock and punk energy, and blend it all into their own dark and primitive stew. Their worship of bands like Sleep and Electric Wizard is apparent throughout, but these Columbus, Ohio doomsters are clearly in touch with another side of themselves on this record. In 1972 the guys were finalists in a talent contest organized by Melody Maker magazine. The band's album includes the side-long title-track which has to be heard to be believed. In Hans Pokora's '7001 Record Collectors Dream' guide 'Parable' has been given the maximum rarity scale rating. This reissue includes an insert with liner notes and photos. LP $25 SKU:23551

WHITE NOISE SOUND- St- w Pete Kember of Spacemen 3 -RED VINYL LAST COPIESLabel:ALIVE WHITE NOISE SOUND is the eponymous debut from the Swansea/Cardiff, Wales-based sextet. Completed with the help of Pete Kember (Spacemen 3, Spectrum and E.A.R) and magician Cian Ciaran (Super Furry Animals), the album is is a psychedelic dream-piece, and the realization of a band conjuring their own particular wall-of-sound -- at once relentlessly pulsating and blissed-out."In this day and age of ironic and increasingly obtuse band names, a band like White Noise Sound is refreshing. Like the heyday of generic foodstuffs, what you see on the label is exactly what you get here (...) WNS has been influenced by earsplitting bands from both sides of the Atlantic, including Velvet Underground, Suicide, Jesus And Mary Chain and of course the aforementioned Spacemen 3." - MOKB"Blending corrosive feedback, pulsating krautrock rhythms, floating vocals and wall-of-sound guitars, the track (Sunset) builds and builds into a perfectly judged ear-shattering, blissed out climax." - The Mad Mackerel"If you're gonna (essentially) cover Spacemen 3's 'Revolution' in 2010, good god this is the way to do it." – Arthur LP $15 SKU:14332
