MORE CASSETTES!
We found a handful of cassettes in our storage area that were recorded and owned by the late, great GREG SHAW.Each cassette has a label either typed or handwritten by Greg himself, most of them from the 80sThese were tapes he used to trade with other collectors and for his own listening enjoyment. NOTE: I take photos of multiple cassettes at at time because Im lazy, but this is NOT a set, only the cassette described here is being sold with this listing. DONT BE ALL ASKING ME WHAT’S ON THEM, these are being released because they are rather historical, not for their specific content.

PAST TENSE-TIME STANDS STILL (+CD) PURPLE (authentic '60s mod/garage/psych)Label: FRUITS DE MER The Past Tense are the South East's finest purveyors of authentic '60s mod/garage/psych. This is their first full-blown release on the Fruits de Mer and they've persuaded them to go for nothing but '60s covers, upping the psychedelic quotient from the usual full-on mod/garage assault that they favour on stage - although they've recorded everything raw, trying to keep that authentic sound. And true to form, they've gone for it bigtime by recording a 7" EP, together with an almost free CD album of even more '60s covers. The enclosed CD ('ACROSS THE POND... AND BACK AGAIN') contains the four tracks from the 7" plus 10 more. 45 RPM $12 SKU:21703
TOMCATS/LOS JUNIOR'S- A Tu Vera/Te Fuiste (60s nuggets PSYCH FUZZ ) -Label:MUNSTER RECORDS (SPAIN) Special split 7" featuring two untamed '60s nuggets from Munster's Algo Salvaje compilation (MR 314CD/LP). English band Tomcats visited Spain in 1965 and they recorded this rifftastic and fuzzed out version of the classic copla song "A tu vera." On the other side, "Te fuiste" by Pamplona's Los Junior's is a spectacular mid-tempo driven by an imposing rhythm and an undulating organ of clearly lysergic reminiscences. 45 RPM $7 SKU:16675
SHOCKWAVES-NO WAY IN,NO WAY OUT (1987 garage trash) Label:TRASH WAX Originally recorded in 1987 for Mike Spenser (of Cannibals notoriety) by Dave Goodman (Sex Pistols producer) but never released! So Trash Wax released it after all these years. Why? Because it's brilliant garage trash, reminiscent of The Vibes and early Purple Things. And these guys were truly under-rated, eventually going onto greater and better things in bands such as The Shamen, Alabama 3, The Diaboliks, The Dustophonics and Orbital! Limited to 250 copies CD $10 SKU:21526
SHUSHA- + This is The Day (70s obscure Persian )CDLabel: With influences ranging from medieval folk to Jacques Brel and Joan Baez, the albums have a lot to offer—good folky tracks with, at times, a Middle Eastern flavour. Other tracks, mostly on the second album, have a more west coast feeling. A bit of a gem! CD $8 SKU:19196
SLOWBONE -THE REAL ROCK & ROLL SWINDLE (early 70s rare prog/blues/pop/psych) SAALE! -Label:AUDIO ARCHIVES Comprehensive 24-track CD covering this London rock band's full history from 1971-'77. The material (with sound from the original tapes) encompasses prog-rock, blues, pop, glam, heavy funk and even some post Turquoise influenced psych, and there's a rare Dutch radio interview from 1975. The detailed history in the booklet was written by Pete Sarfas who saw the band live over fifty times in the early to mid '70s, blowing the lid on the explosive story of how some of Slowbones songs, ideas and even logo were ripped off by the Sex Pistols and Iron Maiden. This issue comes with many rare photos and memorabilia splashed across an eye-catching poster sleeve. CD $10 SKU:21102
SOUL EXPLOSION-SOUL FIRE(late 60s psych soul mystery)Label:GRANADILLA MUSIC One of the great mysteries of late '60s psychedelic soul music! Though only released on the German exploitation market in 1968, this exceptional album may very well be the work of an American studio outfit (or Americans living in Germany?), performing exclusive songs written by well known US composers such as Martin Siegel and Scott English. The material is rather diverse, but most of the music here is high quality soul music, often -especially on Side 2- with scorching psychedelic guitarwork and/or swirling organ parts. But there also are traces of pop and you even get a Dylan-esque slice of folk-rock. Odd, exciting and unique CD $10 SKU:20875
SOUND EXPLOSION- THE EXPLOSIVE SOUND OF .(Greek fuzz garage legends 60s style) SALE!Label:LOST IN TYME After 24 years since their first classic album, this legendary Greek garage band entered the studio again to record this album! 'The Explosive Sounds Of... The Sound Explosion' contains 14 songs and time seems to have stopped. Taking their inspiration from all the classic and the most obscure American garage bands of the '60s, they have created a statement of how a true garage band should sound! A record that's gonna melt on the turntable of each fan. They're back to turn on the fuzz! CD $12 SKU:20387
SPINE 96- ST (90s style rock, pop, psych and punk)-Label:OFF THE HIP Spine 96 is a web of rock, pop, psych and punk that captures the essence of '90s guitar, bass and drums - with a rock base that spans the decades but isn't exclusive to any genre. The four piece band from Adelaide has members that hail from psychedelic lords Dandelion Wine, the alternative rock of Screaming Believers, the psych fuelled pop of Paradise Interchange and the punk driven band Grog. Their debut album has tracks that explore alienation, belonging, potato headed politicians, plasticine people and prophets of profit. CD $5 SKU:19182
SPRIGUNS -Revel, Weird and Wild (1976 Brit folkrock)-Label:ESOTERIC "So, you love English folk/rock, but you’ve never heard of Spriguns? Don’t feel bad... Many people outside of England don’t know this group, or their singer, Mandy Morton, even though in her homeland she is considered on a par with such well-known English female folk singers as Sandy Denny (Fairport Convention), and Maddy Prior (Steeleye Span). Formed in 1972, the band was originally known as Spriguns of Tolgus and were formed by Mike and Mandy Morton. The band’s debut album was produced by Tim Hart of Steeleye Span and brought them to the attention of Decca Records for whom the album "Revel Weird and Wild” was recorded in 1976. By this time the band were known as Spriguns and had become more rock influenced. The album "Time Will Pass” followed in 1977 and was perhaps the band’s finest hour, with orchestral arrangements by Robert Kirby, famed for his work with Nick Drake. Perhaps not quite as rare as Mellow Candle’s sole Decca LP; even so, both Spriguns albums are in the same league musically as that of their Irish label-mates. Both of these Esoteric Recordings reissues have been newly remastered from the original Decca master tapes and include a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork. Two superb and often overlooked major label folk rock classics, now available at an affordable price. Morton’s voice is lovely and captivating, the songs lilting and Celtic-ish—if this is a sound you like, these albums are for you!" CD $8 SKU:19079
ASTRAL DAZE- PSYCHEDELIC SOUTH AFRICAN ROCK 1968-1972 SALE! -Label:TAKE IT ACID IS '1968-1972' - This collection brings together rarities from well-known artists like Abstract Truth, Suck, Otis Waygood, Freedom's Children, John & Philipa Cooper, McCully Workshop and Hawk, as well as lesser known acts like Buzzard, The Fireflies, The Idiots, Tidal Wave, and The Invaders. Although the South African rock movement of the late sixties and early seventies was not a major commercial success, its participants heralded an exciting new age in South African rock and started a movement aimed at changing the musical tastes of fans in a spectacular way. Stadium concerts became the vehicle for feeding the youth with heavier rock sounds, and behind studio glass were producers like Clive Calder, Billy Forrest, Graham Beggs and Selwyn Miller who acted as change agents to transform conventional pop into heavier 4 to 5 minute songs. The movement's struggle for recognition through airplay remained unanswered and only the true fans of rock knew about their existence. Available on vinyl for the first time, complete with insert and liner notes

COSMIC DISCOTHEQUE, VOL. 2-12 Junkshop Afro Disco Funk Gems From the 70's-Label:NAUGHTY RHYTHM RECORDS (Italy) Welcome back to the magic world of 'Cosmic Discotheque'! This second volume in the series will take you on an amazing journey through the Afro side of the '70s disco productions. Certainly, bands like Osibisa, Kongas and Barrabas with their special mix of Afro-jazz-funk and tribal-freak-rock, helped to spread this unprecedented blend of sounds, that along with classic disco music, were in fact the most danced rhythms throughout the European dance floors of the era. As on the first volume, the focus is on less known artists and unearthed little gems selected from forgotten dusty singles B sides. Exotic atmospheres and highly hypnotic tribal rhythms are the main ingredients of 'Cosmic Discotheque Vol. 2'. Twelve Afro-disco singles, all so infectious that it's impossible not to dance to. Stuff that you will be definitely looking for at the next local flea market COMP LP $22 SKU:22252

SAALE RESTOCKS AND REMINDERS
LOOSE - Untamed - 4 songs (2000 Italian punk release)- Label:ROCKIN HOUSE Italian swagger punks that sound like they like to fight. "Untamed!" is a fitting title, what with the gang-land vox and the psychoactive guitars, and Loose play some seriously muscular sleazepunk here. Of the four tracks, I'm gonna finger "Cool as Fuck" as the highlight, both for it's winning subject matter and it's punchy chorus, but any of 'em ought to get your motor running. 45 RPM $5 SKU:7781
MAGIC SHOPPE - Doppelganger (60s style Byrds influenced)- Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Coincidentally yet appropriately labeling their reverb-heavy sound as “hypnotic,” Magic Shoppe’s single for Hypnotic Bridge leads off with A-side “Doppelgänger,” a song originally titled “Salventius” after the Dutch artist known for his “single-line” drawings of faces. Shelved from an earlier project, the name “Doppelgänger” was actually suggested by Salventius, given it’s a sort of “double” for the original concept for the song. Songwriter and lead guitarist Josiah Webb used three fuzz pedals (with a “fully cocked wah” at the end) with tones turned to pure treble for the fuzz. The ending riff is a nod to Roger McGuinn: highly compressed, clean and with maximum treble, creating a tone that evokes The Byrds’ “Eight Miles High.” 45 RPM $10 SKU:22188

REVERBERATIONS -Milder High (Beatles style pop psych) Label:HYPNOTIC BRIDGE Inspired by a fictional psychedelic experience (with all the exciting highs and mellow lows), “Milder Higher” marks a new, more complex direction in The Reverberations’ sound. With interesting time changes, Leslie vocals and a reversed lead fuzz guitar, the song brings to mind bands such as The Beatles and The Peanut Butter Conspiracy.
Like the A-side, “Sunshine” was recorded in early 2019 by the legendary Matt Rendon at Midtown Island Studios in Tucson and recorded to 8-track tape for a classic approach and feeling, with backing vocals done as three-part harmonies around a single microphone. The recent addition of keyboards to The Reverberations’ lineup brings an essential psychedelic element to the song, and the band. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21780

SUNNY SPELLS - with CHAD AND JEREMY (Yellow)Label: FRUITS DE MER 'Sunny Spells' is a 7" EP taster for the upcoming extended CD set of 'The Three Seasons', with four tracks from this set, featuring recordings by Chad & Jeremy (yes, THE Chad & Jeremy), Schizo Fun Addict, Hanford Flyover and Us and Them. Four lovely re-tellings of classic songs from the sixties. Chad & Jeremy give us a stunning, unplugged version of their own 'Rest In Peace', originally from their wonderful '60s album 'Of Cabbages And Kings', perfectly executed, it really is as if the last 50 years never happened, never mind 40. Fruits de Mer's first-ever band, Schizo Fun Addict, show delicacy of touch that you might not have anticipated with a new take on the Mamas and Papas classic 'Dedicated To The One I Love'. Hanford Flyover are a new band for FdM but they come up with a fantastic version of the criminally-overlooked band Neon Pearl's 'Just Another Day' and Scandinavian duo Us and Them round things off with a typically wistful rendition of the Neil Young track 'What Have You Done To My Life?'. Sleeve artwork is by John Hurford. 45 RPM $10 SKU:21704

ALIVE AT THE DEEP BLUES FESTIVAL - BBQ SAUCE RED VINYL LTD. to 400 copies W Radio Moscow, Left Lane Cruiser , John the Conqueror and more. Label:ALIVE Color vinyl is exclusive to Bomp w/ download card (30 minutes of additional music) Alive At The Deep Blues Fest recaptures the loose and -spontaneous feel of live albums produced in the Golden Age of rock’n’roll. The album was recorded live this summer at the Deep Blues Festival during three glorious (sold-out) days of great music, Southern-style BBQ and camaraderie between musicians, fans and friends alike, far from the corporate sterility of many larger modern music fests. Chris Johnson’s festival successfully revived the communal spirit of late ‘60s and early ‘70s music gatherings, evoking the vibe of a large summer picnic with family, friends, good food and great music.BUFFALO KILLERS and RADIO MOSCOW turned in super heavy sets soaked in psychedelia and reverb, while LEE BAINS III & The GLORY FIRES fiercely ripped through their show with a blistering set of songs steeped in Southern rock, R&B, soul, gospel and punk. BRIAN OLIVE and his backing band melded soulful R&B with technicolor garage-pop for their early daytime set, while HENRY’S FUNERAL SHOE (the Welsh duo), LEFT LANE CRUISER and newcomers JOHN THE CONQUEROR perhaps kept closest to the Deep Blues curriculum with their respectively raunchy and heavily amplified modern interpretations of rural gutbucket Delta Blues.
Grab a copy of Alive At The Deep Blues Fest, invite a bunch of good friends over for some food & drink, and PLAY IT LOUD!

BUZZSAW JOINT -CUT 6: DUSTY STYLUSLabel:STAG-O-LEE (GERMANY) 'Buzzsaw Joint' was born of a club offering Londoners the chance to revel in the sounds of good ol' trashy rock'n'roll in all its vintage vinyl forms. Club top-cat, Fritz, then took the primitive Buzzsaw sounds online with a series of savage Mixcloud mixes created by record fiends from all over the globe. Now, the high-octane energy of 'Buzzsaw Joint' has manifested into the physical form with a run of compilations on Stag-O-Lee. Get your ears around the wild'n'weird sounds of the extraordinary and inimitable 'Buzzsaw Joint'! Dusty Stylus is a music junkie who lives in the country, a hundred kilometers north of Melbourne, Australia. He spent the late '80s drumming in '60s garage bands and now mainly gets his buzz from collecting post-war blues, R&B, and good old Aussie garage rock. He hosts a couple of nights, including the ever greasy Bacon Fat, and is often on the DJ bill at the phenomenal 'Slow Grind Fever'. EXOTIC-O-RAMA + CD- VOl 1 Rare 45s from the 50s and 60s!-Label:JUKEBOX MUSIC FACTORY Faithful to his ever-frenzied rhythm, El Vidocq never ceases to delve into his treasure trove of 45 rpm vinyls. And the nuggets, they keep a-comin'! For this 4th volume the tropical heat warms your ears and sends you travelling without you ever having to leave the fireplace. A groovy journey through Africa, Latin America and the Middle East of the 1950s, whose singular exoticism seduced listeners. As you'll see, this period was already open to mixings of all sorts: R'n'B is easily blended with African flavors by Guitar Gablé, doo-wop is cooked up Cuban-style by the Sultans, a big band is given a voodoo makeover by Les Elgart, a Mexican twist is belted out by Chuck Rio. (Much) less expensive than a budget flight and a hell of a lot faster. Climb aboard for a mini world tour in 40 melodious minutes!COMP LP $22 SKU:18390
EXOTIC-O-RAMA + CD- VOL 2 Rare 45s from the 50s and 60s!-Label:JUKEBOX MUSIC FACTORY Exotic-O-Rama' is certainly the most absurd and out-of-the-ordinary, the most fun and convivial series of '50s and '60s tunes yet compiled by dear ole El Vidocq. And Volume 2 presents a selection even more audacious than its smashing predecessor. Embark upon an eclectic safari through a lush pacotille of melodies, from groovy R'n'B mangroves (The Ramrocks) home to nestling toucans (The Century Five), to head-shrinking rockers (Bob Vaught) and doo-wopping crocs (The El Capris), not to mention a few veritable birds of paradise (Rosco Gordon)... Wildlife worthy of an Ed Wood flick! But while the ambiance often turns outrageous, keep in mind that these exotic ditties were concocted by the same trailblazing performers who would inspire Lux Interior of The Cramps and Fred Schneider of the B-52s... While most of the groups comprise colorfully daubed Yanks, there's also a stray Italian (Franco Ei "G5") and a passel of playful Mexicans (The Stardusters). The album art, signed Jampur Fraize, is one of the most sumptuous to date, which is saying something. Yet another tangy treat for the eyes and ears, brought to you by El Vidocq and his vine-swinging comrades.. COMP LP $22 SKU:20945
SMOGTOWN- Tales of Gross Pollution (Beach Punk phenomenon)Label:DISASTER Records Features the previously unreleased early recordings of the now defunct band from '95 & '96. “The final nail in the box of Dana Point's grubbiest sun bleached safety pinned Beach Punk phenomenon SMOGTOWN, whose demise came way too early in my crummy opinion, and meant us folk in Europe never got a chance to experience the mayhem first hand. SMYTH,GILLI -Mother (1972 psych weirdness) SAALE! Label:ESOTERIC Esoteric Recordings are proud to announce the release of a newly re-mastered edition of the classic 1978 album by Gong member GILLI SMYTH, “Mother”. Comprised of recordings dating as far back as 1972 (some featuring Gong), “Mother” is arguably one of the finest albums in the wider Gong family. Described as “A psychedelic, spacey invocation of motherhood, an examination of gender roles and reincarnation”, the album was mostly created in Mallorca by Gilli Smyth’s then-partner and Gong visionary, Daveid Allen, who also played on the album. The album also saw guest appearances from saxophonist Didier Malherbe, bassist Christian Tristch and drummer Pip Pyle among others. Featuring the customary Daevid Allen touch of imaginative edits and sound collages, “Mother” is a joy from beginning to end. This new, official release has been newly re-mastered and includes a booklet with liner notes by Gong archivist and expert Jonny Greene. CD $10 SKU:21297
SNAKEGRINDER - And the Shredded Fieldmice (70s psych Grateful Dead style) - Label:OBSCURE OXIDE "Every burg in the '70s that had a steady supply of weed and electricity undoubtedly provided a birthing ground for the formation of bands influenced by the likes of Jerry Garcia and Lowell George, and the Delaware area was no different. What was different was that our subjects-at-hand got it together and in 1977 released an unassuming document for posterity, containing nothing but original, winding (dare we say "snake-like"?) compositions and good vibes throughout. Since then, the album has garnered accolades from the Acid Archives crowd and so we felt the time was right to give the group's efforts a proper (and properly licensed from the band) presentation, with an "old-style" heavy mini-LP sleeve and thick booklet containing pics, gig posters, song lyrics and liner notes by producer and longtime fan GREGOR ALLIGATOR. In addition, we've added a half-hour of unreleased live tracks from the same era, and everything you hear (album and bonus) was transferred from the mastertapes." CD $10 SKU:8709
SNEETCHES & CHRIS WILSON -Flaming Groovies related- ST ( Flamin Groovies related power pop ) LAST COPIES! Label:MARILYN Wilson, who was the George Harrison to Cyril Jordan's Lennon/McCartney during the Groovies' most British Invasion-inspired phase, is completely in charge here; along with three spirited live renditions of Flamin Groovies classics, "Between the Lines," "I'll Cry Alone," and, interestingly, "Slow Death" (which was written and recorded by the Roy Loney incarnation of the band before Wilson even joined) CD $10 SKU:2360
SOFT MACHINE- Turns On Vol 2(60) Label:VOICEPRINT (England) Second vital collection of archival live Soft Machine recordings from 1967 and 1968. Robert Wyatt's drumming is nearly miraculous, and Mike Ratledge's organ is at its daring and explorative best. Admittedly this is not meant as an introduction to the band for novices, but lovers of the Soft Machine will be blown away by the alternate versions on this disc; they are even more daring than the official releases. Soft Machine (billed as The Soft Machine up to 1969) were formed in the summer of 1966 by Robert Wyatt (drums, vocals), Kevin Ayers (bass, guitar, vocals), Daevid Allen (guitar) and Mike Ratledge (organ) plus, for the first few gigs only, American guitarist Larry Nowlin. Wyatt, Ayers and Hopper had been founding members of the Wilde Flowers, later incarnations of which would include future members of another Canterbury band, Caravan. This first Soft Machine line-up became involved in the early UK underground, featuring prominently at the UFO Club, and subsequently other London clubs like the Speakeasy and Middle Earth, and recorded the group's first single ' Love Makes Sweet Music.’ During July and August 1967, promoter and manager Giorgio Gomelsky booked shows all along the Cote d'Azur, with the band's most notorious early gig taking place in the village square of Saint-Tropez. This led to an invitation to play at producer Eddie Barclay's trendy "Nuit Psychédélique"; the band performed a forty minute rendition of ‘We Did It Again,’ singing the refrain over and over, achieving a Zen-like quality. This made them instant darlings of the Parisian "in" crowd, resulting in invitations to appear on leading television shows and at the Paris Biennale in October 1967. Meanwhile, upon their return from their summer sojourn in France, Allen (an Australian) was denied re-entry to the United Kingdom, so the group continued as a trio, while he returned to Paris to found Gong. The tracks on this disc are drawn from three live performances: tracks 1-5 are from Amerstdam, 10 December 1967; track 6 is from the Middle Earth Club in London, 10 November 1967; tracks 7-14 are from Col Ballroom, Davenport, Iowa, 11 August 196 CD $8 SKU:10918
SOFT MACHINE- Turns On Vol 1 (1967)-Label:VOICEPRINT (England) First vital collection of archival live Soft Machine recordings; these are from 1967, and (unlike “Turns On Vol. 2”) include some studio recordings. Turns On, Vol. 1 catches the newly formed group in their first studio recordings plus live performances in early to mid-1967, all pre-dating the first LP. The lineup on most of the 16 tracks consists of Robert Wyatt, Mike Ratledge, and Kevin Ayers. Daevid Allen appears on four studio recordings. The repertoire draws a lot from the Wilde Flowers' songbook, Ayers, Hugh Hopper and Brian Hopper having written most of the material (Wyatt and Ratledge were only beginning to submit material). Fans will appreciate some of these recordings, especially the first "Clarence in Wonderland"; the 13-minute "Hope for Happiness"; and Wyatt's "Lullaby Letter.” ~ François Couture. Recording information: European Studio (1967); Middle Earth And Speakeasy Clubs, London, England (1967); UK Studio (1967). CD $8 SKU:18998

SSM-ST (Heavy Detroit 70s style electro fuzz psych )Prod by Dan of THE BLACK KEYS!-CDLabel:ALIVE "Not Just Another New Band." - The Crutch. SSM - Break Your Arm For Evolution -with Dan of the Black KEys on Guitar !) Label:ALIVE The follow-up to their acclaimed 2006 self-titled debut. "Break Your Arm For Evolution" finds John Szymanski (vox, keyboards), Dave Shettler (drums, programming), and Marty Morris (vox, guitar) further expanding their sonic horizons and fearlessly morphing genres. SSM likes to flirt and "Break Your Arm For Evolution" is not merely a title but an earnest philosophy : the endlessly catchy Daft Punk-meets-The Seeds of "Déjà Vu," the psychedelic kraut rock'n'roll of "Regenerate Your Face" transforms itself into the synth pop of "Let's Make a Baby", which metamorphoses into the indie alternative dance "Start Dancing" and quickly burst into the punk rock "Emotional Tourist", all the while challenging the traditional conventions of pop songwriting. "It's common knowledge that you can't teach an old garage band new tricks. Or, at least I thought it was common knowledge that garage bands forever stayed in the garage, until I put on this new track by SSM, "Start Dancing." On this number from their second album, SSM have updated a steadfastly rigid genre with a synthetic, robot groove that bridges the divide between Detroit's storied histories of techno and garage." - I Rock Cleveland CD $10 SKU:7234

DEEP REDUCTION - 2 W Radio Birdman’s DENIZ TEK)Label:GET HIP Deep Reduction pays tribute to everything from delta blues to Led Zeppelin to ’70s Punk and Pop with Deniz Tek’s signature guitar mastery. Deep Reduction came to be when Radio Birdman’s Deniz Tek was asked to produce the latest Stump Wizards record, “Contains Lead.” The band and the producer hit it off well and the first Deep Reduction single, “Black Tulip” was the result. Recorded during breaks in the action, it was a spontaneous burst of energy that resulted in this follow-up full length. Sure, this record has it’s roots in Tek’s classic Radio Birdman days and the Stump Wizards mutant punk/hard rock sound, but it really is something entirely new and different and something to be reckoned with. SIRENS -ST (70s style SHANGRI LAS/ glam style!)Label:GET HIP The bulk of this debut was recorded in a 48-hour frenzy at Tarbox Studios by Michael Ivins of the Flaming Lips. Taking his cue from a description of their sound as some where between the Shangri-Las and Black Sabbath, Ivins perfectly captures the lethal combination of loud fuzz guitars and serious singing that sets these girls apart from the usual “Detroit Garage Sound.” This record is also graced by 3 glam-basted tunes produced by Jim Diamond, including a cover of the little known pre-NY Dolls British rock kings, The Hollywood Brats. And speaking of covers, the Sirens apologetically mine the endless supply of Rock 'n Roll nuggets that inspire them. The offerings on this record run the full gamut from Roky Erickson to Suzi Quatro, from the Equals to Timi Yuro, while firmly rooted in their ’70s Glam influenced sound. CD $10 SKU:21816
