DATURA4 is killing it with some great reviews, be sure to get their new release and maybe their BOX SET, here’s what the critics have to say:

COSMIC MAN: Read DOM MARIANI'S interview with Michael Toland for BLURT here.

You could say that Australian quartet Datura4 play highway rock, stoner metal, chill doom or downer chug, and you’d be right on all fronts, the band striking that perfect spot between overdriven and stripped down. – KERRANG!

Datura4 are on a first-rate, four-album roll here. Cosmic, indeed….stellar, even. – GET READY TO ROCK

Thanks for All!

BIG CHIEF - DRIVE IT OFF ( MC5/STOOGES style) Label:GET HIP With a grungy guitar attack and sludgy sonics, Big Chief's early records sound like prototypical '90s Seattle — except the band is from Ann Arbor, Michigan. Formed by members of several popular local groups (Laughing Hyenas, Necros, McDonalds, Posse From Hell), Big Chief embraced a wide swath of hard-rock influences, ranging from righteous homeboys the MC5 and the Stooges to Black Sabbath, Blue Cheer and Black Flag. The twist is in the funk, however; Big Chief hails from George Clinton country, too, and their debt to Dr. Funkenstein — an obligation none of their forbears knew from — would become obvious later on. CD $10 SKU:22752

CARSICKNESS- 1979-1982 (17-track retrospective album from seminal Pittsburgh Punk )-Label:GET HIP 17-track retrospective album from seminal Pittsburgh Punk band! DELMONAS-DO THE UNCLE WILLY(BRITISH GIRL GARAGE PRE-HEADCOATEES.)Label:GET HIP BRITISH GIRL GARAGE PRE-HEADCOATEES.British garage pop girl group, the Del Monas began life as the Milk-Boilers, by singing backup on some early Milkshakes recordings. Sarah and Hilary took the lead on a rendition of the Shirelles song “Boys” (as covered by the Beatles) before Louise joined, striking out on their own with a couple of four-song EPs in 1984: Comin’ Home Baby (popularized by Mel Tormé) and Hello, We Love You (actually the Doors’ “Hello, I Love You”). In both cases, the Milkshakes served as their backing band, Billy Childish and Mickey Hampshire penning the original numbers. By this time the girls had been re-christened the Del Monas, the name being inspired by the Bo Diddley song. CD $10 SKU:22632

HEADCOATS, THEE- GIRLSVILLE Medway sound Garage-Rock at its finest!) -Label:GET HIP Medway sound Garage-Rock at its finest! Reissue of an original Hangman LP, the unique blend of 60s Garage, skiffle, 50s R&B and pure rock'n'roll make for a party on your turntable or CD player! CD $10 SKU:22826

MYSTIC EYES-Whole World is Watching (primal ‘60s garage rock sound.)Label:GET HIP While each song on Watching is a polished gem, special mention must be given to a few. “Reality Is No Friend of Mine” is an ominous psychedelic pounder, and “So Far Away From Here” is only slightly less intense. While the whole album fits loosely into a modernized folk/rock genre, “I Can’t Wait to Love You” pays loving tribute to the Phil Spector/Jan & Dean sound. CD $10 SKU:22755

NERVEBREAKERS - We Want Everything ( 70s Texas punk) - Label:GET HIP Hailing from Dallas, the Nervebreakers first got together in 1973, but didn’t take off until the mid-’70s punk movement started to affect most larger urban areas of the US. Nervebreakers quickly rose to the top of the pack in Dallas releasing three singles which are now hard to find. This album was recorded in 1980 and was to have been their debut LP. The reissue on Get Hip has been remastered and is finally out on vinyl again on 180-gram wax! EV originally released a limited edition along with the Get Hip CD in 1995. CD $10 SKU:11536

NITWITZ - DARK SIDE OF THE SPOON (1978 Stooges/MC5/Ramones style) -Label:GET HIP Founded in 1978, the young band barely caught the dissipating ripples of the first punk rock wave. In taking their lead from groups like the Stooges, MC5, the Ramones and Australia’s Saints, the Nitwitz had little in common with the angry, unwashed masses of English spiky-tops who sang about “the dole,” depression, and gang warfare. (Although they had a definite fondness for a few fast-riffing exceptions like the Lurkers, Drones, and Stiff Little Fingers.) Instead, the 16-year-old Nitwitz waxed poetic about girls they liked, girls they didn’t like, school, their favorite TV cartoon show, and getting beat up by disco kids. CD $10 SKU:22756

PAINT FUMES-IT AIN'T WORTH A HUFF Label:GET HIP Like the lovechild of Link Wray and Cheetah Chrome, raised by Lemmy on the streets of Venus, they sweated out the fever every night in ecstatic style. By the time Slovenly Recs got around to spitting out a couple classic 45s and their debut platter Uck Life, most true heads and even those way out of the know alike had gotten the message. Deep within a blitzkrieg of treble and feedback, there were real live tunes to sink your teeth into, the shit that’s stuck in your head when you wake up in another dimension CD $10 SKU:22757

POP RIVETS-FUN IN THE U.K (1977 punk)Label:GET HIP The Pop Rivets came together in England during 1977 along with the punk wave that was then sweeping the music scene. Borrowing money, they recorded an album in 1979, Greatest Hits which make up some of the tracks on this retrospective. Their sound was unpolished, loud and exciting. Hear what you missed, NOW! CD $10 SKU:22758

WILD YOUTH`SLAP GAT'N ROLL - 2xLP / 180-GRAMLabel:RETROBUTION The definitive retrospective of late '70s South African punk luminaries Wild Youth and offshoot band the Gay Marines, Slap Gat'n Roll combines both groups' original recordings with demos and a late '80s Gay Marines rarity. Limited to 300. (2017 LP $25 SKU:20570

RESTOCKS SAALE AND REMINDERS

THEE MICHELLE GUN ELEPHANT- Rodeo Tandem Beat Specter- PROMO Label:ALIVE The band’s last studio album. “I don't know where the Japanese equivalent of the Motor City is, but Thee Michelle Gun Elephant must be from near there. The quartet's third U.S. album, Rodeo Tandem Beat Specter is a triumph of high-octane, melodic proto-punk in the tradition of the Stooges and the MC5. It's easy to tell on songs like "The Loneliness Of The Citroen" and "My Heart With Its Brakes Broken Loose" that subjects of love and cars are dominant images. The rhythm section of bassist Koji Ueno and drummer Kazuyuki Kuhara provides the horsepower. The flash comes from the soaring bluesy-punk rock lines of guitarist Futoshi Abe. Topped off with singer Yusuke Chiba's gruff, emotional bleats, this is some good ol' foot-stomping, head-shaking stuff.” - Brian J. Bowe / Creem Magazine CD $10 SKU:21700

TITTY TWISTER -GIMMIE SOME NOISE (Japanese punk/rock and roll) Label:DEAD BEAT Titty Twister are Japan’s best kept secret weapon maintaining their heavy activity in the Japanese Punk / Rock ‘n Roll scene for well over a decade now. They formed out of their mutual love for first wave NYC punk bands like the Ramones, Dead Boys, Heartbreakers and the New York Dolls and those first-wave finger prints are inked all over their fourth album ‘Gimmie Some Noise’. With loud slashing guitars and Thunders licks galore they fuse their power punk electricity with the girl group bubblegum-pop hooks of bands like the Go-Go’s, Blondie, the Ronettes and Nikki And The Corvettes. ‘Gimmie Some Noise’ is an infectious romp through Rock ‘n Rolls more electrifying side with songs that run the gamut from loud'n'fast three-chord Ramones punkers to brut, guitar-swinging, bar room rockers to ’60s girl group pop boppers all forged with Titty Twister’s contagious, combination of poppy bubblegum melodies and muscular, gritty guitar work. It’s a high energy album oozing with ear-candy hooks spewed across 12 buzzsaw slices of rowdy blitzkrieg pop. CD $10 SKU:20799

TO GET HER TOGETHER -JOHN SEES LILLY(psych gem w Seeds/Elec Prunes influence)-Label:WORLD IN SOUND Behind this extraordinary retrospective release stand musicians from Portland, OR Jeff Sanger and Alexa Marmon. John See's Lilly is certainly a psychedelic gem and introduces the world to the mystic and creative To Get Her Together which carries the influence of Seeds, Electric Prunes, Syd Barrett, Donovans psychedelic period and Joe Meek all rolled into one, feat. also a great cover version of "Clarence in Wonderland" (K. Ayers) . They create a sound that sums up a scene from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Jeff is an emotive songwriter and singer taking you through a journey into his mind full of musical twists and turns with acoustic guitar rhythms over hypnotic drum and bass to tunes with electric overdrive- mindblowing fuzz. Equipment used such as a 1930's David Bogen amplifier, vintage organs and effects, and analogue equipment ultimately reward the listener experience. The song "Jovial Tree" can be heard on Trip In Time Vol.2 (Psychedelic Rock Reflections) and is celebrated highly. Here is the full album with 16 songs, this album truly creates a unique-dreamy-psych-vintage experience in 2008 CD $10 SKU:21755

TOLMAN, RUSS -Down in Earthquake Town (Former True West-LA Paisley Underground)Label:SKYCLAD After fleeing the confines of the Northern California guitar band, True West upon its demise in 1985, Russ Tolman took up the troubadour's life, embarking on a career as a singer-songwriter, often performing with a band. Loosely aligned with LA's Paisley Underground scene, Tolman continued to surround himself with some of the musicians who were key during that period, in particular Steve Wynn, formerly of the Dream Syndicate who has remained his friend and occasional collaborator. CD $10 SKU:20430

TOMBSTONE VALENTINE - Hidden World (60's/90's West Coast sound) -Label:AETHER Quintet with a 60's/90's West Coast sound. Hidden World was mostly recorded at home on a Tascam 238 8-track and features 4 compositions: the title track and the magnificent "Green Sky Night" are 2 pearls of modern West Coast psych rock with Grace Slick-like female lead vocals, wah wah guitar, Country Joe & The Fish type organ patterns and strange synth noises, while the other 2 numbers are purely instrumental and vaguely sound like one of the space jams of the Grateful Dead with Cork Marcheschi of 50 Foot Hose guesting on weird electronic noises. Especially the side-filling "Elastic Reality" is an impressive, long example of avant-garde psychedelics for the next millenium. Outstanding lp, long time since I heard a release that balances so neatly between tradition and experiment, and creates something new under the sun. (Crohingawell, Belgium)

TOMORROW- ST ( UK 60s flower-psych w.12 bonus cuts & a great booklet.)Label:EMI Classic UK flower-psych album from 1968. CD $10 SKU:533

TOMORROW - LIVE RECORDINGS: 1967-68 (UK psych) Label:THINKPINK50TH.COM 16 live tracks of Tomorrow in their prime! Presented in chronological order, this is the first time the complete live output of this legendary UK psych group has been available! The album features Tomorrow's set at the legendary 1967 London psychedelic all-nighter 'Christmas On Earth' where they played alongside Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Syd Barrett's Pink Floyd and more! This set is bookended by Tomorrow's 1967 BBC appearance on the first episode of John Peel's 'Top Gear', and their hard-to-find 1968 appearance on the same show. CD $15 SKU:19618

TOMRERCLAUS -JAGUAR(Danish psych legend)Label:KARMA MUSIC The 2016 album by Danish psychedelic music legend Tomrerclaus. Much in the vein of his first album from 1978. Tomrerclaus plays guitars, clarinet, synth and he sings as well. Thomas Vilhelm plays the drums this time around, and Preben Madsen plays bass. In these days, with acid rock and flower power music being retro, it is good to see that the master can still show how to do it. 'Jaguar' is a thumping fat album, which should be in any psych-rock fanatic's record collection CD $16 SKU:21057

TOMRERCLAUS -EN SPADE ER EN SPADE:(1978 Classic Danish guitar psych)-Label:KARMA MUSIC So 25 years later comes the follow up to this classic 1978 TOMRERCLAUS album. A must for guitar lovers. A strange fusion of HENDRIX style electricity and Balkan music mixed in with SHADOWS style. Very interesting indeed, and full of energy! CD $16 SKU:21210

TONE FLOAT - Musik Von Tone Float (Texas psych/Krautrock inspired)-Label:TIMOTHYS BRAIN A sonic portfolio of the Texas psych/Krautrock inspired scene it represents, but also an homage to the heavily lysergic first Kraftwerk album under the name Organisation; as the rave review in Alternative Press rightly pointed out, "words cannot do justice to the utterly outlandish studio experiments Tone Float achieve here." And quite rightly, AP are quick to praise the "sonic sorcery" that pervades these cosmic corridor wanderings, this "sublimely demented carnival music." CD $6 SKU:19940

TONGUE - Keep on Truckin (forgotten classic of late '60s American psych)Label:GEAR FAB Tongue were a blues-based, organ-fueled, country and rural folk-influenced hard rock band that emerged from the copious student population of countercultural Wisconsin. Though Tongue remains a criminally underrated outfit, and never made it big on a national level, their touring reached legendary status, particularly in the mid-west. They were on the road for 10 years and played 250 gigs a year without flying to a single one of them. CD $10 SKU:19455

TORMENTORS, THE- Hanging 'Round ( 1967 undiscovered psych pop) -Label:GEAR FAB A truly experimental psych/rock/pop album from 1967. Featuring some very good garage, psych, and British Invasion sounds. Fuzzed out guitar, great vocal harmonies, and some really bizarre background sounds. CD $10 SKU:10787

TOUCH- Street Suite (1968 blues psych) -Label:GEAR FAB AllMusic Review by Stanton Swihart :Coming directly from playing live with some of the finest hard rock bands of the era, Touch entered the studio to record their only album in 1968, released the following year in a limited pressing of 100 LPs. This Gear Fab reissue collects that entire album with the original lineup's two non-LP 45s, three songs recorded by the altered post-LP lineup, and a couple cuts by the Essence, the latter day band of Touch leader Ray Schulte. As such, it is the complete collection of the band's intense, sometimes left-leaning psychedelia grounded in blues.CD $10 SKU:18644

TRAFFIC SOUND - A Bailar Go-Go (70s S American psych ) digipack - Label:Repsychled This deluxe mini-LP sleeve, limited-edition CD reissue of the mini-album “A Bailar GoGo” is taken from the master tapes, as originally released. As bonus tracks, we’ve added seven remixes from the original four-channel tapes: instrumentals, acoustic versions, and remix/edits; these remixes were approved by Willy Thorne. Comes with a 20-page booklet with unseen pictures and detailed history of the beginning of the band in Spanish and English; also has a silk-screen printed replica of an original Traffic Sound concert poster. Hand-numbered limited edition of 300 copies CD $15 SKU:19982

TRAFFIC SOUND - Virgin (1969 Peruvian hard rock/ psych Label:MUNSTER The second LP by Traffic Sound, released in 1969, is one of the masterpieces of Latin rock. On their first album with self-written songs, the band from Lima combined psychedelia, hard rock, a hint of progressive rock and a Latin tinge to create a personal, mighty sound full of details. The best example is Meshkalina, a track with references to Incan culture which became an anthem of the period and was heard all over Peru. The LP was a great success and even saw a US release. CD $10 SKU:20131

TRAINWRECK RIDERS - Lonely Road Revival Overlooked ALIVE favorite, Amazing Beachwood Sparks style folk and dirty punk blues -Label:ALIVE Fans of The Band Or Buffalo Springfield should check this album out. – Terrascope. “There's a spirit of music made for sheer joy in Lonely Road Revival that could've come straight out of The Bristol Sessions.” – Rhino. CD $5 SKU: 22857

TREACLE PEOPLE-ST(70s style prog psych Deep Purple/Zep style) Label:WORLD IN SOUND On their analogue-recorded debut album the quintet Treacle People very impressively and with lot of love to the detail revive the spirit, the musicianship and the passion of their British idols from the early 70s. The eight partly epic original compositions have been recorded in 2 sessions "live" in studio and reflect many-faceted, progressive, psychedelic and classical hard rock. Their wide musical spectrum presents .... expressive, emotional and striking vocals (Cruelest Secret - Zero Gravity) .... atmospheric but also aggressive guitarsolos (Neptune's Kiss - Anschlag I) .... a pulsating, excessive-rocking hammond-organ (Anschlag I - Last Song), warm and dynamic hammond/piano melodies (Cruelest Secret - Moonchild) .... driven by a powerful-grooving bass and soulful to hypnotic drums. Biographic information: All members are in their early/mid twenties and the history of Treacle People begins in 1998 in Worms (south-western part of Germany). They are inspired by the roots of the progressive and psychedelic hard rock from 60's and early 70's, the time period in which youth celebrated musical excesses creatively and revolutionary. Classically trained they practiced themselves in the works of Deep Purple, Led zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, E.L.P, King Crimson and Pink Floyd. Thus originated from experimental, endless jam-sessions technically polished rock songs which have "the own appeal". Live on stage they perform excessively own material but also highlights from rock history: In a Gadda da Vida " (Iron Butterfly), "Black Night" (Deep Purple) and Pink Floyds complete CD $12 SKU:21762

TREE PEOPLE - ST (privately released acid folk gem from 1979)Label:TILIQUA RECORDS (Japan) digipack . incredible Japanese-based label Tiliqua records presents the lysergic beauty of the Tree People's sole recorded artifact, a privately released acid folk gem from 1979, to a whole new generation. The Tree People were an Oregon based acoustic group centered around guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Stephen Cohen (who had recently been transplanted, hobo style coffee house to coffee house, from Rhode Island). This is a meditative, deeply introspective work, with stunningly clear production, that really does make one feel they are amongst natural surroundings. The best tracks feature recorder and flute, such as ‘Opus,’ ‘Pot of Gold’, ‘Morning Song’ and ‘The Pineapple Song’. Cohen has a slight rural twang in his voice, one that seems confident yet vulnerable. For progressive folk fans, the comparisons go northwards towards some similarly minded Canadians—most obviously, Vancouver based band Ptarmigan (see our Lion Productions reissue of their only album)—the acoustic guitar, fragile vocals and ample use of recorder are a touchstone for both groups. The CD reissue on Tiliqua Records is stunning. It comes in a beautiful Japanese mini-LP (extra thick cardboard), with a full history, photos, etc. It’s obvious that this reissue was a labor of love, and that the label owner is a huge fan of the album. Limited pressing. For good measure, here is the label description: “In times when people are getting excited about media-created scenes like “new weird america” and “freak folk”, they seem to overlook the fact that such music was being created decades ago. The Tree People album is evidence of such creativity, but was sadly doomed to obscurity... until now. Upon listening today this hushed and intimate feeling still resonates through the music – the record possesses an extraordinarily potent atmosphere that still intoxicates the senses after so many years. over a combustible backing dominated by shimmering strings, bone-shaking hand percussion rhythms, and quivering sensuous threads of eastern-toned flute playing, the group succeeded in concocting up a syncretic combination of meditative Indian raga, western folk stylings and idiosyncratic melodic ideas. the music breathes out intimacy and communicates with a rare directness—hooking you instantly with sheer aural bliss derived from the melody, from the flowing beat, from the sound of the words and syllables and of all those separate elements interacting with each other, rendered into a concentrated, gracious flow of lunar notes. the album's compositions have so many hidden qualities, all breathing out deep and affectionate sentiments that reveal, just like a lotus flower centered on the axis with its petals unfolding towards the circumference, a streamlined adhesion towards the group's' own singular creed. listen to it and you may feel like awakening from a deep slumber, your unconsciousness leaking away as aspects of reality slowly mix in with the rest of your already blurred mindset.” CD $12 SKU:5234

TRIPPY WICKED & THE COSMIC CHILDREN OF THE KNIGHT -UNDERGROUND-(Stoner classic rock style)Label:SUPERHOT It's a very stoner rock affair, keeping to some classic rock roots, title track 'Going Home' is a nine minute wonder stacked with riff after riff, leading beautifully into 'Up In Stakes'. Despite the melancholy feel, it still maintains the characteristic rock 'n' roll attributes of the band's sound. CD $12 SKU:22559

TRUE WEST-Best Western 80s Paisley Underground LIVE,UNRELEASED,RARE RECORDINGS)Label:SKYCLAD True West was an American rock band that originated in 1982 in Davis, California. They were considered part of the Paisley Underground, a psychedelic-inspired rock music movement in California during the 1980s. CD $10 SKU:20432

TYDE - Once (Beachwoods Sparks style psych with Ric Menck )Label:DIONYSUS Debut by L.A. band that blends Brit psych as seen by midwesterner Ric Menck. From the same neo-psyche scene that spawned Beachwood Sparks, Warlocks and Smallstone. Great debut CD $5 SKU:19830

UMBRA - ST(Brown ACid 70s heavy)Label:LION Umbra’s story is that of a band from the early 1970’s who recorded what they wanted to record: heavy, heavy music from the start of the “American Comedown Era” as we’ve seen it described by our friends for their “Brown Acid” series; a band whose music, terrific though it is, has never to this point been released out into the wide world. The tracks are hard-edged and heavy, verging on acid rock at times. Makes sense, as Umbra was a power trio most of their too-brief existence. Yet the songs (heavy though they are) have a deft touch. Spacey intros and weird effects were created by recording guitar licks, then re-recording them played backwards at double speed. There is an utterly refreshing category-free approach to writing songs that makes Umbra’s music exciting to hear. Comes with a 16-page booklet, with lyrics, photos, plus interesting and funny things that can only happen to musicians, and did to Umbra. CD $14 SKU:21740

UNDEAD - First Worst and Cursed w DEE DEE RAMONE Label:DIONYSUS If late ’70s and early ’80s horror punk was a high school, and The Misfits were the angry goth kids, then The Undead would be the beer-swilling, joker-stoners of said institution. Their frolic through the seedy underbelly of horror punk is collected on First, Worst and Cursed. While other punks may have been bigger (and maybe better), no one beats The Undead’s uncanny ability to make disjointed rock songs with an edge so sharp you’d cut yourself. CD $5 SKU:19829

ALEXANDER, WILLIE - Solo Loco (Test Pressing) (70s member of The Lost, The Bagatelle ,The Grass Menagerie, Velvet Underground)Label:Bomp Records 1981. Willie "Loco" Alexander (born 13 January 1943 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American singer and keyboard player based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. He played with The Lost, The Bagatelle and The Grass Menagerie before becoming a member of The Velvet Underground in late 1971, joining fellow Grass Menagerie alumni Doug Yule and Walter Powers and replacing Sterling Morrison, who had gone off to pursue an academic career. With the Velvet Underground, Alexander toured England, Scotland and The Netherlands in support of then-current album Loaded. After completing the tour on November 21, 1971 in Groningen, the band planned to start recording a new album, but band manager Steve Sesnick sent all of the band but Yule home, presumably to retain maximum control of the product (the resulting album was Squeeze, released in 1973) and effectively ending Alexander's time with the band. After leaving The Velvet Underground, he enjoyed a chequered career, both solo and with his Boom Boom Band, that lasts to this day. In-between, Alexander teamed up with Powers to tour France in 1982 for French punk record label New Rose Records, in 1987 opening for Dramarama and in 2006 for a tour with the legendary Boom Boom band. In addition to his storied music career, in 1994, Willie narrated a local film entitled Middle Street made by fellow Gloucester native, independent filmmaker, Henry Ferrini. Willie has also contributed many songs to the soundtracks for Henry's other films. LP $15 SKU:10176

BAINS, LEE - Dereconstructed (w first run color vinyl and MP3 download ) -Label:SUB POP Dereconstructed is a careening, road raging, all night party of a record. Informed by a distinctly southern hoodoo, it is a master class in authentic Gulf Coast choogle. Having cut his teeth in the Dexateens, Lee Bains lll has been properly schooled in how to throw down, so much so that even his hyper literate musings are no match for the blown out distortion that gives this record its blistering urgency. Songs like “The Kudzu and the Concrete,” “Dirt Track” and the roaring, blissfully shambolic title track could be anthems looking for a stadium, but they’re also reminders as to why Lee Bains lll & the Glory Fires are such a formidable party machine. If your hometown is graced with a scuzzy dive and a few warm bodies to populate it, you’d best believe that the Glory Fires have been there, or are on their way back.Dereconstructed is Lee Bains lll & the Glory Fires’ debut for Sub Pop Records. It is preceded by the band’s actual debut, There Is a Bomb in Gilead, on Alive Natural-Sound Records (2012). LP $16 SKU:10000

Chulahoma is a collection of songs that were originally written by the late Junior Kimbrough. WEED - ST (1971 Krautrock rarity repress) SALE! Label:LONGHAIR Repress! Originally released on Philips 6305096 in 1971. Weed were formed by former Virus-members bass player Reinhold Spiegelfeld, singer Bernd Hohmann and guitarist Werner Monka after the first Virus incarnation split at the end of 1970. There are rumours that Uriah Heep organ player, Ken Hensley, contributed to this project simply called Weed. From 1971 till today no one knows exactly what was excactly going on because unfortunately the album sleeve didn't list the line-up. There are 6 tracks on the album which were composed by concert promoter Bodo Albes and Rainer Goltermann, household producer of Philips made sure the sessions in the Windrose-Dumont Time studio in Hamburg. Whether Hensley played on this album or not the album sound is very similar to the Uriah Heep sound between 'Salisbury' and the follow-up album 'Look At Yourself'. 'The Crack In The Cosmic Egg' authors Steven and Allan Freeman are right, when they compared it to other German heavy rock stars of the era such as Blackwater Park, Epitaph or Armaggedon. This Uriah Heep versus "Krautrock-crossover-album" is a must have for each lover of Krautrock. Comes as reproduction of the original cover sleeve with additional insert.. LP $24 SKU:21288

WITCHES- A Haunted Person's Guide To.(.ltd ed yellow). psych LAST 5 COPIES!Label:ALIVE YELLOW VINYL LTD. EDITION -"The best band that you never heard" of is a term that is commonly thrown around with much ado but in the case of The Witches it may well be true. Born in Detroit in 1996 from the mind of bass player Troy Gregory (Dirtbombs, Killing Joke) and with the help of fellow Michigan natives John Nash (Electric Six, LCD Soundsystem) on guitar, and producer Jim Diamond (White Stripes, Von Bondies) on electric twelve-string, The Witches went on to record five amazing albums between 1996 and 2006, with the help of a revolving line-up of Michigan musicians, before vanishing into thin air. "A Haunted Person's Guide To The Witches" compiles material from the band's five albums, and is a comprehensive introduction to the band's unique sound.

"A top-notch introduction to an underrated band." – Steve Wilson / Reverberations

"It’s a pleasant surprise that A Haunted Person’s Guide coheres like a proper album rather than a compilation." - Mark Deming / All Music Guide

"This is devilishly good music that should be filed on your shelf alongside the Soft Boys." – Alan Brown / Popmatters

"A Haunted Person’s Guide to the Witches makes a much stronger case for the Witches’ virtues than a journey through their catalog." – Michael Toland / The Big Takeover LP $20 SKU:12503

YESTERDAY'S CHILDREN-ST (This 1969 underground classic)Label:AKARMA Repress. This 1969 underground classic LP from Connecticut-based band Yesterday's Children is real lost gem. This was the only album they ever made, but oh what a stunning success it was musically, even though it wasn't recognized on a national level. Reggie Wright played a significant role as the lead guitar player. His strengths were more than obvious in each song as he tore his way through each number relentlessly without clutter. The group was led by brothers Denis Croce (guitar) and Richard Croce (vocals). The rhythm section of Chuck Maher (bass) and Ralph Muscatelli (drums) were stand up from start to finish, providing the pumping and thumping force that drove their musical machine. Side one is very good and side two is nothing less than remarkable. The four songs presented are solid and unfailing, featuring the powerful fat chords of Wright. The rest of the band easily falls into line with such resourceful leadership to complete the overall effects of each and every track. Notable as well is the colourful and detailed cover art. This is a fine album that flirts with progressive hard rock continually. LP $22 SKU:21884

TEA & SYMPHONY-Jo Sago (70s underground classic) Label:ESOTERIC Newly remastered edition of the underground classic album by Tea & Symphony. “Jo Sago” was the band’s second (and final) album and originally appeared in November 1970 on the now legendary HARVEST label. The band began life as a Progressive Folk band comprising of the core members JEFF DAW (Vocals, Guitar, Flute), JAMES LANGSTON (Vocals, Guitar) & NIGEL PHILLIPS (Drums, Recorder, Keyboards) and were part of Jim Simpson’s Birmingham-based Big Bear Management stable of artists (who also included BAKERLOO, BLACK SABBATH and LOCOMOTIVE). By the time of the “Jo Sago” album, Jeff Daw and James Langston were joined by BOB WILSON on Keyboards, Guitar and Bass and had moved further into the area of Progressive Rock. Produced by Tony Cox at Sound Techniques studios, “Jo Sago” was a conceptual work that touched on subjects such as race relations in 1970s Britain and more. The album is now regarded as a classic of the era, with original HARVEST vinyl copies changing hands for significant sums. This official Esoteric Recordings reissue has been newly re-mastered from the original tapes and features a booklet with restored artwork and an essay." CD $10 SKU:21299

THRAKA - CDR (Cambodian Rocks artists sixteen tracks, blistering lead guitar) LAST COPIESLabel:KHMER ROCKS Several volumes—all CDR’s, as that is the way most music is sold amongst the Cambodian communities worldwide. These discs contain music from artists featured on the “Cambodian Rocks” series of compilations... although in this case, all the text is in Khmer, so good luck finding out what the tracks are called, or who is singing them. The music on these CDR’s demonstrates a much wider variety of styles than you hear on the “Cambodian Rocks” volumes, ranging far beyond the rock idiom into the land of what one might call an Ethiopiques sound, with Latin music, orchestra, and rough folkloric recordings all on display. A treat for the true cultural crate digger... you can’t get more down and dirty—or cheaper—than this. Very limited quantities. CD $10 SKU:20505

ABUELO , MIGUEL & NADA -ST (A stunning blend of psych, hard-rock and prog-folk ) Label:GUERSSON "A stunning blend of psychedelia, hard-rock and prog-folk courtesy of MIGUEL ABUELO, the legendary Argentinean rock pioneer. Recorded and released only in France in 1975, featuring some top Argentinean musicians such as killer guitar player DANIEL SBARRA. Original artwork in gatefold sleeve and insert with lyrics, rare photos and liner notes by Daniel Sbarra. Miguel Ángel Peralta aka Miguel Abuelo was a musician, poet and singer from Buenos Aires, Argentine. During the Sixties, he was the leader of early psychedelic band Los Abuelos de la Nada, who released a highly sought-after 45 in 1968. In the early 70s, Miguel, a free spirit, left Argentina for Europe and he ended up busking in Paris. There, he formed a band called NADA featuring guitar player Daniel Sbarra and other expat Argentinean musicians. Supported by their producer, Moshé Naïm, who was fascinated with Miguel’s personality and voice, they registered in France their only album, recorded circa 1973 but actually released in 1975 on Moshé’s own label, just when the band had decided to part ways. Housed in a beautiful gatefold cover depicting Miguel in full hippie-fashion along with his little child Gato Azul, “Miguel Abuelo & Nada” is simply one of the best Argentinean rock albums ever recorded. Miguel and Daniel managed to create a very unique sound, powerful yet delicate, highlighted by Miguel's hearfelt vocals (sometimes treated as just another instrument), outstanding guitar playing by Daniel (listen to him doing one of the early known examples of proto-metal tapping on 'Tirando piedras al río'), well crafted songs and deep, poetic lyrics. The album was recorded at a state-of-the-art studio located in the countryside and was carefully produced: electric & acoustic guitars, bass, drums, flute, keyboards (including Moog), cello, violin… "Miguel Abuelo & Nada" is now widely regarded worldwide as a legendary, cult album and we're thrilled to present a top-notch vinyl reissue. LP $22 SKU:21486

APRYL FOOL-ST (1968 Japanese psych)-Label:SURVIVAL RESEARcH Survival Research present a reissue of Apryl Fool's self-titled album, originally released in 1969. The story of Japanese psychedelic band Apryl Fool and their eponymous debut album is simply extraordinary. It was the vehicle by which bassist Haroumi Hosono first came to prominence, years before he became known as the "Godfather of Japanese electronica" as the founding member and leader of Yellow Magic Orchestra, though this musical titan had work released prior to the group's 1968 founding, such as the song "The Sea Of Summer Day", recorded with Yuko Okuyama and released by King Records the year before. Drummer Takashi "Rei" Matsumoto was a Beatles maniac that had covered songs in his earlier group, Burns, while pioneering prog-rock keyboardist Hiroyoshi Yanagida and guitarists Chu Kosaka and Eiji Kikuchi had all been part of a group called The Floral, formed in 1967 through the Japanese wing of the official fan club of The Monkees (whom they supported during a Japanese tour enacted in October 1968). In September 1969, Apryl Fool played behind musical theater group, Tokyo Kid Brothers, the recording issued in minute quantity as the Love & Banana EP, issued on Columbia Japan's Musicolor subsidiary; Apryl Fool's own LP, also issued on Musicolor that year, had extended spacey psychedelic freak jams in the form of "Tanger" and "Pledging My Time", marathon blues-rock tracks such as "April Blues" and "Honky Tonk Jam", with the employed English-sounding, fairly credible though, parts of the epic opus "The Last Mother Land", featuring Japanese lyrics. Of course, the day that the LP was actually released is reportedly the day that Apryl Fool announced their termination, giving this scarce release another level of legend for connoisseurs. LP $18 SKU:21775

BEN-ISRAEL, DANNY- Kathmandu Sessions (SAALE! Awesome late 60s psychedelic freakouT) - Label:ANAZITISI From Dusty groove “ Here's some pretty awesome late 60s psychedelic freakout gems from a cat we'd never heard of before -- Israeli citizen Danny Ben-Israel -- who only ever recorded a couple of albums worth of material! The massive, free-spiraling tunes that comprise the first 3 tracks on this record combine the kind of way out space trip electric guitar that Hendrix played live but never recorded, and stable bass, drums and Eastern-tinged keyboards that keep it all rock and roll -- no matter how out there Danny's wailing vocals and lyrics go. LP $15 SKU:20818

BISCUIT -TIME FOR ANSWERS (60s style psych freakbeat) -SAALE! Label:NO TOMORROW Biscuit is one of those (rare) bands than take their inspiration mainly from 60s sounds (beat, garage, psychedelia, freakbeat, hard-rock, folk-rock, soul, rocknroll) but do not sound like just another 60s band. Their sound is uniquely their own, and trying to compare them to another band is so silly that lazy reviewers come out with comparisons as diverse as Urge Overkill, Soundtracks of Our Lives, the Byrds or The Prisoners in the same line. Which of course are all wrong. What is sure right is that these guys have a good thing going when it comes to combine meaty, solid guitar riffs with beautiful melodies. They know the secret of how to make well-crafted, passionate songs, the kind that grow with every listen. They can rock as fuck one minute and melt your heart the next. You can feel the anger, rage and desperation in their songs, but also the gratefulness, love and tenderness. You can feel the people behind the music. In a phrase, they've got soul. In my book, a truely classic record". LP $14 SKU:19899

TWENTY SIXTY SIX AND THEN-Reflections on the Future (1972 GERMAN PROG Deep Purple/Iron Butterfly style )DBL Label:MISSING VINYL Their heavy progressive style has been compared to that of DEEP PURPLE, VANILLA FUDGE and IRON BUTTERFLY. Limited edition of 500 copies.Packaged in a gatefold cover (exact replica of the original) with polylined inner sleeves and thick 2-page insert that includes band history and band interview LP $26 SKU:21075
