The 1971 album Detroit by Mitch Ryder and the band Detroit was originally released on the Paramount label.

However, it was later reissued in 1987 on the MCA label under the title "Detroit With Mitch Ryder". This reissue features tracks such as "Long Neck Goose," "Rock 'N' Roll," and "Gimme Shelter," among others. The album has been praised for its blend of rock, soul, and blues, with some considering it a masterpiece from Mitch Ryder.
